I loved that movie, especially the scene when they raced on the city streets, I don't care if it make no sense in physics (speaking of the wind) or if it was badly done, it's just a cool scene.
Till Schweiger is famous in his native Germany, because he can't get a single line of dialogue out without mumbling half of it. I kind of expected him to improve when you guys drag him across the pond to hire him.
Ah the movie that introduced me to 2 things I was obsessed with in the early 00’s- Estella Warren and the band Tantric(their song Breakdown was featured in the commercials for this movie). Somehow it didn’t get me into open wheel racing as Sly kept referring to it in his press clips bc he couldn’t get enough info to make it about F1 😢
I'm not into action movies, so a car racing movie forget it. But I watched it when it came out and absolutely loved it. Still do, that's why I've come back to watching all the trailers of it. I own the movie but just had a crave for the trailer.
I don't care what the critics say, I like this movie, and not once while watching it was I thinking about Rocky. Only in videos like these it is mentioned ;)
Sylvester Stallone should’ve based this film on the IRL so the Indy 500 would’ve been in it and he should’ve done extensive research on open wheel racing so it would’ve been more accurate.
I agree with you! Then it probably would’ve gotten a positive reception from critics! I think it also would’ve been awesome seeing races at tracks such as the ones owned by Bruton Smith.
Well. The original Idea was to make a movie over F1. But then the get Problems with the rights so the starded to change to Indycar. You also can der the F1 references.
He did. He also visited a lot of Formula 1 races and talked to drivers. I remember him being around in lots of races and they said he is going to make a movie. After I have seen the movie I wondered how you still can get it so wrong.
race fan for 26 years or so, i really enjoyed this movie when it 1st came out. Years later my boy chris stuckman destroyed it so i went back and saw it again. still a 6/10 but thats just me. of course i still think days of thunder is up their also. gotta say Senna will always be #1, even tho its non-fiction, it is a film no doubt. i look forward too any and all replies on my opinion.:;
I actually liked this movie. It`s as realistic as any Stallone movie, but just as fun to watch and it never takes itself too seriously like Rush or Ford vs Ferrari. And yeah..i have it on DVD. :)
Never thought of it, but you're right. This is basically Rocky 5 with race cars. Sheesh... you'd think Stallone would have learned from that film if he was going to make another movie similar to it.
Ah, "Driven"... The movie that was supposed to launch Cristian de la Fuente's (Memo Moreno in the movie) career in Hollywood but ended up crashing on the first lap. I remember people in my home country (Chile), going in droves to cinemas, just for the fact that he was "starring" on it, next to Stallone but being massively disappointed that his character was more of a "C-plot" kinda deal instead of being more important.
I had this on DVD and I loved it, shame Sylvester Stallone couldn't do what he had planned in the first place, since F1 is very secretive as to HOW the cars are built, so they changed it to CART, later known as Champ Car, I do think that CART was a better choice than Indycar due to the fact they had a bit more expansive calender in terms of types of tracks, more races in a season and the fact they raced in more countries than Indycar at the time, the only thing Indycar would have as an advantage would be the Indy 500.

Anthony Irelan The Netflix deal was something that everyone has agreed to for this season, Merc did only agree to one race, but they pucked the best one, also Lewis was I'll during that weekend, so him not wanting to do it makes sense.

Anthony Irelan That's fine, I would refuse to do it too if I was sick that weekend, as I wouldn't want someone's first impression of me to be footage of me being ill, but I say the race that Mercedes's allowed them to record footage for was worth it.

I saw this in the theatre. I'm still mad. Like, I want to break into Stallone's house, hang him over the balcony and shake him for the money he owes me.
@08:15-08:20 Please tell me that someone actually made a mash-up cover of the Rocky and Smokey and the Bandits theme! Because *I WANT A COPY OF THAT COVER!!!!!*
Neo-Xgray87 Naw, I sadly only did that little snippet for the review. If any talented DJ wants to give a try at a full mashup, though, have at it; looking at you, Girl Talk!
Jesse my man, keep 'em coming! You are the new king when it comes to buttfucking these stupid movies!!! BTW, Rush is a seminal classic in the sports movie category
To correct the author! This movie is based on a story of the 1994 Formula 1 world championship! Micheal Schumacher (german) was the new champion, Damon Hill (Rookie) was the challenger, and Burt Reynolds (Frank Williams) was the team owner! The rookie continued to crash and succumbed to the mental pressure of fighting for the world championship, and the team owner called on his previous champion (Nigel Mansell) to help resurrect his title bid. It worked, Hill and Schumacher went down to the last race with one point, they both crashed out, and Mansell went onto win! Stallone used the 1994 season as inspiration with him in the centre, he was originally going to use F1 cars, but when the owners read the script they threw Stallone out of the circuit, and banned him for life. Instead he used Indycars, while keeping the entire script as is! the acting was horrible, and 1994 season was a classic, it should have been a docuseries rather then a movie around Stallone
I'm only here to point out the intro song to this video's soundtrack was also the intro music for "Cruisin' USA 64" for Nintendo 64 ... Seriously, how the hell did you find this song, JB?
While I'm not saying Driven is a good film, I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I mean, I have seen far worse, such as Jack and Jill, which is a stinky fucking movie.
When this movie is basically CART Fury the movie, but the cut scenes utilize shitty PS3 graphics and have toned down physics coupled with a story that you couldn't care much about. Worst part being that while this is $2.99 on RUclips, CART Fury is roughly $6-9 on ebay. (Make sure you got a PS2 as well because I doubt anyone is selling the Arcade machine version of the game)
This had a kind of good idea for a movie in it but the actors around stallone were all pretty terrible choices and just really bad actors, the racing and realism of the racing was shot a portrayed badly too. It is a film that is bad its kind of good. It was good idea but executed really badly
I saw this in an actual movie theater on a date. The whole time I had to bite my tongue since I REALLY wanted to riff it as it happened. The jelly rain, the terrible script, and the gratuitous overacting. I kept waiting for "Oscar Clip Moment" to blink on the screen every time any actor spoke.
Caught this on Prime a couple nights ago. Then I remembered that I have the DVD...still holds up as one of the greatest movies ever made.
I actually like this movie. I guess it counts as a guilty pleasure
Same, love Indy, love Sly, love driven as a result of it
Same here man. But it’s also due to the fact that F1 and Kart movies are few and far between
I didnt know this movie was considered bad. I thought it was great.
Love this movie. I keep two side-by-side VHS copies of it on a shelf in my apartment just to get friends to ask about it and start the conversation.
The girl's skirt being blown revealing her panties is all i remember from this movie 😆

Collision course is such an entertaining movie.
if Stallone doesn't say rantlers in guardians of the galaxy vol 2 I will riot
Mel Gibson screaming give me back my son just killed me hahahahhaha
I remember the bad movies of 2001. I was 14 or 15 at the time. Good times. That strange era pre-9.11.
