Onboard a TUI Boeing 757-28A for this flight from Birmingham down to Skiathos on June 4th 2019. Filmed from seat 9A which was the perfect window seat for a view of the incredible Rolls Royce RB211 engines.
757's are my favourite single aisle aircraft because they each have their own traits. Each one sounds different and having been on several 757's over the years this is one of the best sounding ones I'd been on.
There is a Full Flight video from this flight which includes the landing into the beautiful Island of Skiathos. I've been having some technical issues getting that saved in full HD quality so I will have a look at it and get that online ASAP.
Thanks again for watching, hope you enjoyed this video!

Only the 757 with the RB211's can squish you into your seat during takeoff. It is magnificent. The power-to-weight ratio is insane.
There’s just something about the 757… so elegant in design, yet so powerful.

love how when those things power up they just drown out all other noises. Babies crying, people talking, all gone. All that's left in your ears is the calming, yet terrifyingly powerful rumbling of that machine
Beautiful Rb211 on 757 sound. Brings back many memories. Last flown Icelandair in 2018 . First 757 flight in 1987
We worked on the RB211 at Sinfin B Site in Derby and also on the Test beds at A site in the 70's.
The engine was a cracker once the LP1 fan was sorted. The B757 was a pocket rocket with the RB211 fitted.
Nothing sounds like those RR engines, like someone stuck a pencil in a desk fan!
@@MrGoneTroppo i know right.
It wants to get out of Birmingham the poor thing
😂😂😂😂
I thought this was America until I noticed people driving on the left instead of the right.
dumb prick
I live in birmingham and I agree
@@MicrowaveBakedPotato this looks nothing like bhm. also, DO TUI FLY TO BHM
757 will always be my fav aircraft!!!
One of the best 757 take offs for sound from the RB211s
personally, I don't like travell with airplanes... but those engines... damn! feel so powerful
Ikr
Airplanes are comfortable, fast, stable and more
I wish I'd taken a video of a take off I had from Edinburgh to Glasgow on the last shuttle of the day. Incredible climb with only a handful of passengers on board. "Hold on to your hats boys"
Nice sound!
Love your vids! 757s are my personal favourite!
Fantastic video man!
Love those Rolls Royce RB211 engines, the 757 amazing aircraft
Yeah it’s an epic aircraft. One of my favs
The first plane i ever got on was a 757, and i just remember the acceleration on take off. Loved it.
Wow, even better roar than the 777 with its ge90!
ofc!
Ah sounds like my RD125LC sounded in 1982 with the micron exhaust lol.lovely
Such a great sound.
Beautiful sound
I love how the 757 prefers to climb slowly at first, gaining speed under 5000 feet. Gives you more time to appreciate the view of the ground and the sensation of speed.
Those RB211's
Sounds amazing.
Why are the 757s so LOUD on take off ....engine screaming. I always wondered why only the 757 made that blender sound until its at cruising altitude.
757s either use RB211s (featured in the video) or PW2000s, the iconic ‘buzz saw’ sound is caused by the engine fan blades breaking the sound barrier. They really are some of the best sounding engines in existence.

@@757Superfan Hey! I just reread through the rest of the comments on this video... there certainly are a few imbeciles down there...
@@aviationlba747 i know
but the 757 is just blender noise at takeoff
I love that sound
WOW! Ab-so-lu-te-ly wonderful!👍✈
I felt my chair tip back👍
eat your heart out GE! I sure miss sitting in the jump seat at the 2L door on takeoff! Delta still has a few 757's flying ❤! Some still carry the TW registration..
This sound always makes feeling me save
The first time I heard this, with Icelandair, I thought there was a problem with the engine. But on the return flight, I couldn't wait for the roar :D
Man I miss blasting off on these so much
Beautiful
I like the engine sound. But honestly the best engine sound in my opinion is the Boeing 747 Rolls Royce engines(British Airways ones)
Yes that is more or less the same engine as the earlier ie pre neo A320 which we all like......
It’s the same engine (RB211)
it’s the exact same engine but a different variant
The roar is different than with a 747
Not all 747s have the RB211s. If some of them do, then it may sound different due to the throttle levels
That's because it's not a 747
@@andrew3084 exactly
It’s because the 747 that have rb211’s don’t go full full throttle to conserve fuel. What he means it’s that they are slightly lowered pitched around 6-8hz lower.
@@rainbowrailroadcrossing7798 Also, there are different variants of the RB211s.
The little rocket of Seattle!
*ryanair chilling in the taxiway*
The take off from BHX is longer and more gradual now the runways been extended. Before it was really short and steep!
exactly!
I might be going on one
Good memories
26th september am gonna fly with the 757-300 from condor can't wait😀
I’m flying in a Condor 757 on the 12th
From where you flyin and where you going?
Nobody:
My washer when we are eating dinner:
Is there fleet of 757’s still flying? I’d love to go on a RB powered 757
I just put United has a bunch
@@rainbowrailroadcrossing7798 Delta has 127 of them in their fleet, including several -300's
Yes TUI currently have 4 757’s still operating. (G-OOBB, G-OOBA, G-OOBN and G-OOBP)
What a big angry beast sound
Its to angry beast then like Car Sports
“Hue, play the good stuff”
what causes the high pitched vibrating noise at TO/GA throttle?
It’s caused by the engine fan blades which break the sound barrier
@@757Superfan ah man beat me too it😂, I think I see you on ever 757 vid😎
@@ethansaviation2672 lol 😂😂 as you can tell by my channel name, i’m a 757 superfan 😂😂
Are these CF6 engines?
I got it, the RB's
Haha. I would’ve been shocked if you thought they were cf lol
CF6s on a 757 😂
@@aviationlba747 😂😂😂
The new engines are coming even quiet 😢
That was a pretty long takeoff roll for a 757
I flew on a 757 back in 2004 lol
cool!
The engines are angry
i couldnt stick that racket on a flight sod that
Apparently a pilot friend of mine said all aircraft seem to take off better a Birmingham City Airport, not because of headwinds but because the airplanes can't wait to get out of that shithole of a city 😆
Am I the only one who wants to throw some fruit and milk in there and make an engine smoothie?
@PETER ZARI lol
I miss Thomson livery. I prefer it over TUI
Same
who else saw the ryanair plane at 2:06
noisy but powerful
90% of the aircraft in Manchester Airport are 757s
Not at all. Jet2 have maybe 3 a day. An occasionally Icelandair send one. That’s it now.
That's a whine and a loud humming/buzzing. Not a roar by any means
RB211 > GE90
I wish I never saw this commment
@@757Superfan Not of lot of people like you on the internet. Respect :)
@andrew ok
@@andrew3084 wdym??
oh sorry i just realised it’s the opposite. Sorry i was tired then and didn’t realise 😂 The RB211s are my favourites
Porn for my ears ❤️
Sorry but no ROAR at all, just a giant lawnmower, I think Rolls Royce engines make that sound, I believe P&W' really ROAR!
Tusen
Plane Sense you must be deaf
Only 757s sound like that. Ive never been on another commercial jet that sounded like a 57 does. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so frickin loud and annoying. To be honest the first time on a 57 the engine noise scared me a little bit cause I never heard a jet make that much racket.
LSX KING it’s an amazing aircraft. It is aging but it doesn’t mean it’s bad. Also, most people love the engine roar and spool of the engines but it is your opinion and others have opinions aswell.
I think you need a ear test mate.
As far as cabin layout the 757 absolutely suck.
no.
Just no.
I agree. Having sat on the seats before the exits with the people in front reclining.
What an awful sound, not a roar at all, just like some horrible buzzing electrical device.
What an awful comment. Why watch videos of this aircraft type which are famous for this sound 😂
