Onboard a TUI Boeing 757-28A for this flight from Birmingham down to Skiathos on June 4th 2019. Filmed from seat 9A which was the perfect window seat for a view of the incredible Rolls Royce RB211 engines.
757's are my favourite single aisle aircraft because they each have their own traits. Each one sounds different and having been on several 757's over the years this is one of the best sounding ones I'd been on.
There is a Full Flight video from this flight which includes the landing into the beautiful Island of Skiathos. I've been having some technical issues getting that saved in full HD quality so I will have a look at it and get that online ASAP.
Thanks again for watching, hope you enjoyed this video!

Only the 757 with the RB211's can squish you into your seat during takeoff. It is magnificent. The power-to-weight ratio is insane.

We worked on the RB211 at Sinfin B Site in Derby and also on the Test beds at A site in the 70's.
The engine was a cracker once the LP1 fan was sorted. The B757 was a pocket rocket with the RB211 fitted.

757s either use RB211s (featured in the video) or PW2000s, the iconic ‘buzz saw’ sound is caused by the engine fan blades breaking the sound barrier. They really are some of the best sounding engines in existence.
