The first Soviet sub. The first sub ever to reach the pole underwater was the USS Nautilus. The first to break though the ice at the pole was the USS Skate.
@@yoholmes273 You know history right? You know the military has been keeping records of the thickness for decades. How old are you? The North pole just started melting full for the first time recently. Read a book
@vmwindustries "Military records....for ice thickness" Are we ignorant of the oldest Ice core samples in Greenland which record history as far back as 180,000 years. Not to mention The Antarctica ice cores that date back much further. When at times in the past, during that history, it was proven , contrary to popular thought, it was much warmer than it is now. @@yoholmes273ah true the climate is always changing and climate change is indeed natural. Though in the modern day, when we are talking about climate change now we are referring to climate change that is being brought on by humans. It is being brought on by humans in numerous ways but most notable is the expulsion of carbon into our atmosphere through burning fossil fuels. This is causing climate change at an exponential rate. For example the temperatures are increasing at a higher rate than they are supposed to naturally. This can devastate many ecosystems because of this rapid change because organisms cannot adapt that fast. It can especially affect polar animals. Though the question is, is this of concern? Well yeah but it is solvable. Edit: I will also add because of this the ice is melting at an unnatural rate which is of concern. Mainly because ocean levels will rise and changes of the temperature within the ocean which can have effects on weather, and on marine life. It also is a huge threat to the wildlife inhabiting these icy regions. So yes ice melts but currently it is melting at a rapid rate that's not necessarily natural.
Nautilus 90 North was a good book about the voyage They had a leak in the feed water loop they could never find. The crew went ashore in Washington? and purchased a lot of Stop leak and the issue was cleared up
as a big usa fanboy an i do love to be that guy, “actually at times”. but these comments talking bout how usa was there first are so delusional lol. the video is about the nuke sub of the ussr not usa, it specifically states the first to reach the pole while fully submerged. not the claim of being the first sub ever or the first to ever surface an break the ice lol. get a grip over yourselves

Yes, the first submarine to reach the North Pole is SSN-571 USS Nautilus.
The first Soviet sub. The first sub ever to reach the pole underwater was the USS Nautilus. The first to break though the ice at the pole was the USS Skate.
The k3 did it for the first time "entirely underwater", you can't hear for shit, he literally said that
The interior looks exactly like I imagined an old Soviet sub to look
Wow, with the technology back then that is pretty amazing. Also a person couldn't say the sailors were not well trained.
Back when the North pole actually had ice.
You know ice.......melts. RIght?

@@yoholmes273 Yes from the submarines.
nah the Soviets were trying to see Santa
The crew illuminated in dark.
Okay so just some information being named Leninsky Komsomol isn’t being named after Lenin, but after the Soviet youth organisation KOMSOMOL
Dumped in the sea.."Decomissioned"
Rest for those who perished.
Uh, the USS Nautilus was the first sub to reach the North Pole in 1958, then the USS Skate was the first to surface at the pole in 1959.
Fully underwater without emerging is the keyword here and he meant by the Soviet Union :D

The soviet sub did iit ENTIRELY UNDER WATER....thats the context
@@vwpac so did the Nautilus, so that context is moot.
Oceangate shouldve just bought surplus soviet submarines
It’s a boat not a ship.
Yah it didn’t sink! That’s a pretty accomplished feat 😂😂
For the soviets yeah
Still better than the Scorpion hitting it self with a torpedo
@@JSkobaSoviet Subs. Great records. Sure buddy.
@@JSkoba or the Kursk, about 33 years “later” sinking itself the self same way, COMRADE.
It’s a shame it’s in such bad shape I would love to visit that sun one day
Widow Maker!
The K3 fire started in it's hydraulic systems. And then there was the other Russian sub, that committed suicide by peroxide. If you know, you know.
Submarines are called, "boats."
I guess everybody made sure you knew what the first submarine was. It reached the North Pole.
Machine narration?
