My cell carrier forced me off of my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Aura glow. They kicked it off the network as too old! I had to get the 24 Ultra +. I refused to trade in the Note 10 +. It's sitting on the end table right next to me as I type this. I loved that phone and still use it on wifi!
I'm currently trying to decide between refurbished versions of these two phones! Can I ask whether you notice significant differences in batter life or camera quality, those are the main things I'm concerned about.
@katrinaxharhus3747 Personally I'm not a heavy user but yes there are differences especially night shots between the Note 10 and 20. If you're an average user like myself then you'd be happy with the Note 10. Reason I went with the Note 20 coz I dropped the Note 10 and it has a minor scuff at the bottom right of the phone and I'm fussy so I gave my wife the Note 10 as her second phone and I got the Note 20. Battery life the Note 20 is better but not significantly. But then again, it depends on the user. I could go on the whole day with Note 20 as well as I could with the Note 10. Where as my wife needs to charge hers during the day. By the way she leaves her phone on 24/7 and she installs apps that could affect the battery life in the background. For peace of mind, I think you should go with the Note 20.
There are people that can say why not get s23 24 etc... I don't need those extra touches of features. I'm very content with the Note 20. I won't be upgrading anytime soon, it does the job and I'm satisfied with it.
Note10+was such a good phone, i traded it off for s22u, but doesnt feel much different. Now I m using this z fold5, and the excitement starts afresh. I think the new age will belong to foldable, rollable or something even more radical

This phone isnt really that way off from features in today's phones that makes me still want to upgrade. and for my money it is a beast of a phone.....even 5 years on!

Note 10+ is the best phone I've ever used. Best designed Samsung phone IMO, especially the Aura Glow color. I had the black one. The 12GB of RAM, along with 256GB of internal storage, SD card support, build and the display made for one fantastic device. Note 10+/S10+ was peak Samsung IMO.
It's my favorite color that I had. I wish I never upgraded it to the S22 ultra. Right now, I'm considering purchasing a factory sealed note 10 plus since I lost my S22 ultra Sunday night
As someone who is a predominant iPhone user. When I made the switch from the iPhone to the galaxy S8 plus I always felt like something was missing then I went back to iPhone, then the galaxy note 10+ was released and that was my favorite phone release from Samsung ever. Fast-forward from 2019 to 2023 I have been in love with my galaxy S 23 ultra like crazy. I honestly miss the microSD card slot and the s pen on the right side like every day.
The issue with old flagships aside from old software is battery life. I used to buy old flagships to save money, but now I just buy solid midrange phones like the A52 and later on the A55.
android 12 on note 10plus was the most stable version. it has a lot of great features no random restart no freezing. note10plus beats newer iphone plus models with 60hz displays
Good video! The Note 9 and S9 Plus cameras with the variable aperture lenses are still good as well. No extra wide camera or extensive zoom capabilities, but they still get the job done.

Took some comparison pictures between my S9+, Note 10+, and S23 Ultra. The S9 definitely aged but still produced pretty good looking pictures. Note 10+ and S23 Ultra pictures look different in colors, with the Note producing much deeper blues in the sky and greener grass and the Ultre looking more natural, quality was better on the S23 Ultra especially in ultrawide, and of course zoom is better though i found specifically 2x zoom looks better on the Note with slightly less detail but far less oversharpening. Note 10+ holds up very well.
I had this, and then the Note 20 Ultra a couple years later, and now the iPhone 14 Pro. I got this back out of the drawer a couple days ago and am seriously considering going back to it. Hey good video and the other day I powered up my Galaxy S9 and I've been using it for the last 2 days just to check it out you know what it's still a really good phone yeah it's not a zippy as the newer phones and I think the camera is actually still pretty decent The speakers are definitely still good I have to say I really like the design and my S9 now with curves on both sides it's kind of sweet looking with the purple back. I get 4 hours of screen time out of it so I don't know you could literally use this phone now maybe banking apps are the only thing that wouldn't work cuz it's on Android 10 but besides that it's it's a nice phone what 6 years later.
I agree, good video on a classic device. The Note 9 and S9 Plus cameras are good as well. The introduction to the variable aperture was not a gimmick. No extra wide camera but still decent nevertheless.
I visited my brother for thanksgiving up in north Texas from south Texas. Had a few things in storage at his house, Note 10+ and iPhone 12 Pro Max. I brought them back with me. Both are still great devices, but the Note 10+ is actually the one that’s still very amazing. Miss the S-Pen on my S24+, so I’ve been using that more around the house, especially for Penup and Samsung Notes. Great quality builds from both.
I still got my Note 4 that i bought in April 2015. Even after 9 and a half years it's still working fine and i use it as my work phone. The other phone i own is the S22 Ultra that i bought in September 2022.
You said it got its last security patch in August. I'm impressed that Samsung went beyond their promise and gave it an extra year of security patch. Even though the version of Android its running is older, it's not really missing out on much, as most of the core One UI stuff are still the same. For the AI stuff, you can fill that gap with Chat GPT, Copilot, and Gemini. For magic eraser, I also have it in the premium version of Google photos.
Came back to mine around a month ago when my laptop died . Been using it as a pc replacement using dex. Works great for most things aside from the one mobile game i play Yugioh Master Duel. Manily use it for RUclips and emulation.
Coming from a current A12, I'm most looking at this for the storage upgrades. My current phone has just 3gb ram and 32gb of storage. I really can't have ANY apps on it anymore. So I'm drooling over the storage personally. As far as updates, I mean I guess that's annoying. But honestly, is it really THAT important? Like, what are people missing out on with no updates? Because I have one of these in my cart waiting to hit the buy button.
Had my note 10 plus for a couple years and it's a great phone. Unfortunately between over charging and maxing the storage out over the years has done a toll to overall performance. That being said still great phone and I still got a note 3 I'll put a sim into and rock it for a couple months just to switch it up that is a solid phone to this day.
I have a question ⁉️🤔 Now it's 2024, is the battery 🔋 life still good now? Or does it need a battery 🔋 replacement? I know the system is outdated, but the important thing to me is the battery 🔋 life 😅
I'm still using my Note10 plus aura glow until Friday when I switch to the Iphone16PM. I've had it since it's birth Aug 2019. I'm switching to try something new and to FaceTime my family particularly my grandma. I'll still be keeping my Note10 plus as a back-up phone. She's still running great but doesn't get anymore updates. Also the battery life isn't that great.
Mind if I ask the biggest differences you notice between the note 10 plus and note 20 ultra? I'm looking at refurbished phones and I'm wondering about battery life and camera quality mostly
All cellphones are still usable as long as they continue to get software / security updates, 5 years later I still rock my S9+ even though Samsung quit support 10 months after I bought it. STuck with Android 10 and No updates and no security updates for more than 3 years. Just bought a brand new S21 fe factory unlocked and boxed for $210us It supposed to get updates for another 2 years
I traded mine in towards the S24U earlier this year. Admittedly I had upgraded to the zfold4 18 months prior, so was sitting in a draw gathering dust. So traded in Note10+ and sold zfold privately Design wise it was ahead of it's time IMO and like you say holds up to modern smartphone devices. Shame it only got 4 years OS and Security updates. Loved the phone, S24U doesn't feel much different by comparison, just more utd hardware (processors/ ram etc) and software
If I remember right it was the Snapdragon 845 and the 855 those two chip sets are the ones that made the huge leap in speed and processing power for the flagships they still hold their own today
The biggest problem with Note 10+ is the screen which is 60 Hz, unfortunately. Back in the 2019 - OP7 Pro got 90Hz screen which makes it more future proof. Anyway, N10+ is still great phone due to good processor, still fast UFS 3.0 memory and really small bezels around the screen
Thanks for making us all happy with this one Steve :) Of course I still have mu Aura White Note 10 Plus. I will never let it go. Best phone I think I ever owned or used. With as a close second the S21 Ultra...
Still using the Note9. Aftet the Note9, Samsung avoided to make the Phone that end consumers want. Hopefully Huawei will change their philosophy. I am stuck to Samsung because of the Note lines and their S-Pen. Otherwise...
this is nice! so glad I found this video! btw, does it have an image text recognition? like when you can copy the texts from a picture or document that you took? thanks in advance!
Just replaced my old battery and refuse to let this phone die--the S23 and S24 Ultras are just too expensive still for me to bother with at this point in time and I am solidly married to the S Pen for loads of things. Having that micro SD for more storage is an absolute game changer.
Bro how.. I just got done using my pixel 2 xl for two months as a throwback and it is definitely struggling. It has a custom ROM and everything but it's noticably slower than my 5a, which feels brand new after using my 2 xl for that long. It sucks because I like the screen and body of the 2 xl more and it just reminds me of the lg v30 I used to have and loved, but it's a struggle to use it
@@AzureRT456 just put the custom ROM on it a few months ago. Its not laggy like how Samsung's used to be back in the day, UI and home screen and normal single app usage is more than fine, but I like to use RUclips PIP and Google maps while doing other things and it hangs for a while when first starting up maps and slows down a bit when multitasking like that
A high end device....really love the Note 10+ way back ...but had to upgrade to the 20 Ultra for its incredible display, powerful performance and the flexibility of the S Pen. The phone makes multitasking so smooth and the camera quality captures every detail beautifully. It’s like having a mini-computer with me all the time..
I got my Note 10 Plus in July and it's been serving me so well. It's my daily driver. My Note 10+ is still putting up decent performance, gives me 7-8 hours SOT, and takes really good pictures. I'll continue using this phone until I can afford Samsung S23 Ultra.
Maybe not Note but had my S10e with 6GB ram till last month, released in 2019, and still sold it for nearly £100, cause it looked like new, whole time kept in case and with screen protector. Battery replaced once, small phone 5.8 inch small battery, great photos, I'm not a phone gamer, but for photos, emails, yt, news and communictors it was brilliant. Unfortunately security patches end up in March 2023, so I had to change for newer.
Still using Note 10+ as my daily driver. As with all Samsung phones I've owned the hardware still works flawlessly. The only issues are ones Samsung has introduced with OTA updates which have broken compatibility with many of the devices I previously used it with such as thermal cameras, microscopes, telescopes, etc. Breaking compatibility with perfectly working hardware is the bane of my existence...but original battery still working absolutely great. I never charge above 85% and never let it drop below 15% except in an absolute emergency. The only thing that will make me a buy a newer phone is when all my apps stop working with older versions of Android. Most still do, but I do have a few apps that refuse to work on the Note 10+. Forced obsolescence is super frustrating.
@@katrinaxharhus3747 If you just use standard, current apps, social media, etc you wont have any issues. I have quite a few apps I use in my work that connect to proprietary heavy equipment, tools, etc. The apps are old, no longer updated, and the people that made them are not even in the industry any longer. It's super frustrating when a forced update renders older apps unusable. I didn't find out until I was on a job doing a thermal inspection of undergroud piping and all these types apps refused to open and Android just says they are no longer compatible, with zero workarounds I always keep 2 or 3 older phones where I've blocked updates around, but eventually those will die and I'll have tens of thoussnds of dollars of equipment that will be unusable purely because they won't be allowed to run on any current Android devices available. I'm sure I'll be able to pay a developer to get something working when that happens...but it's still frustrating. I'm still using a few Note 4's in the field...and that's my favorite phone in the whole Note lineup.
I bought the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year. I also signed a 6 year contract with the Army National Guard. I'm hoping to keep this phone until my contract is up.
Still using mine. Replaced the water damaged lcd myself. Fast enough for what I use it for. Mine doesn't have 5G so theres that. Also battery does not last as long, after 5 years. Outstanding quality phone.
I'm using my husband's note 10 plus when he upgraded to s22 ultra. So basically 2nd user here! Battery life is still okay but if you want it to last the whole day while using the internet, have a battery case... I'm using the zero lemon batery case for it 10000mah and he also added 1tb sd card alongside the 512gb internal ... Gaming wise it's able to handle genshin etc. ,screen is great cause it's amoled 😊
I still use my 12/512GB issue daily. Battery lasts me all day. Camera is still great and apps are never laggy. I don't play games, so gaming speed is not an issue for me. Biggest issue is that the camera lens seems to attract dirt much more than it used to and needs cleaning more often.
It is my daily phone.I mean look at the specs -4 k video recording -256gb internally ,12 gm ram +sdcard storage .Are you kidding?I think about to change the rom to a newer one (android 15 )but i will lose knox feature .Still thinking

I get 4 hours of screen time out of it so I don't know you could literally use this phone now maybe banking apps are the only thing that wouldn't work cuz it's on Android 10 but besides that it's it's a nice phone what 6 years later.
Definitely, we've lost a little something with the newer designs.
I am watching this on my Samsung Note 10 Plus Auro Glow❤, i bought it on December 2019.
I still got my Note 4 that i bought in April 2015. Even after 9 and a half years it's still working fine and i use it as my work phone. The other phone i own is the S22 Ultra that i bought in September 2022.
I always wanted this edition of Note 10 plus
My S10e is still pushing strong. The 10 series was peak galaxy imo.
In my opinion you should hold onto your old flagship for as long as you can
I have a question ⁉️🤔
Now it's 2024, is the battery 🔋 life still good now? Or does it need a battery 🔋 replacement? I know the system is outdated, but the important thing to me is the battery 🔋 life 😅
I'm still using my Note10 plus aura glow until Friday when I switch to the Iphone16PM. I've had it since it's birth Aug 2019. I'm switching to try something new and to FaceTime my family particularly my grandma. I'll still be keeping my Note10 plus as a back-up phone. She's still running great but doesn't get anymore updates. Also the battery life isn't that great.
I have Note10 plus, Note 20 ultra, S23ultra and now the S24 ultra. I love them all. Still using them all.
Mind if I ask the biggest differences you notice between the note 10 plus and note 20 ultra? I'm looking at refurbished phones and I'm wondering about battery life and camera quality mostly
This is my favorite note. it's perfect no major issues like green lines or screen flickering, aside from not having a headphone jack.
Mine is still Mint condition. Works just as well as it did on release day
All cellphones are still usable as long as they continue to get software / security updates, 5 years later I still rock my S9+ even though Samsung quit support 10 months after I bought it.
So traded in Note10+ and sold zfold privately
Design wise it was ahead of it's time IMO and like you say holds up to modern smartphone devices. Shame it only got 4 years OS and Security updates. Loved the phone, S24U doesn't feel much different by comparison, just more utd hardware (processors/ ram etc) and software
If I remember right it was the Snapdragon 845 and the 855 those two chip sets are the ones that made the huge leap in speed and processing power for the flagships they still hold their own today
i still have my note 10plus,i also got goodlock, goodlock is a must for all Samsung phones,i got home screen 7x7 ,pop up folder is just like the pixel
Nice bring backs memories this was my first 5G phone, and my first introduction to Samsung Dex
4.5 hours of screen time is wild in comparison to my S22. I might not be able to hold onto it for 5 to 6 years like my previous Mate 10 Lite.
Same here, Note 9!! Got the wife a Note 10 plus when she dropped her Note 9 in water and fried it! The Note 10 is amazing!!
Well said. Unfortunately my lumia 950 didn't hold up as well, though it still works.
I bought this for my dad's birthday brand new when it first released and he won't trade it in he loves it still
The force is definitely with this phone.
Still using it...really love the design. Feels amazing compared to what we have today.
@@StevealiciousTech it was a great phone!
this is nice! so glad I found this video! btw, does it have an image text recognition? like when you can copy the texts from a picture or document that you took? thanks in advance!
Just replaced my old battery and refuse to let this phone die--the S23 and S24 Ultras are just too expensive still for me to bother with at this point in time and I am solidly married to the S Pen for loads of things. Having that micro SD for more storage is an absolute game changer.
where'd you replace your battery friend?
Still upset I wasn't able to get this edition on launch
I am STILL USING MINE NOW AND LOVE IT.
Typing from my s9+ ....
3 month ago changed the battery with a new one , and backup is better now ...
..I will still upgrade to s25ultra
Still using one today! Works like a champ!
Miss new software updates though! 😢
Yeah, been over a year now. Sad.
I love my Note 10 plus
Still using my Galaxy A71 which I purchased in 2020!! Still holding up!! 💪💪💪
Typing from my Pixel 3. Still works great after 6 years.
@@Andor1980 oh... the great bath tub phone. I know people raved about the Pixel 2 camera but I thought the 3 had SUCH good cameras!
Bro how.. I just got done using my pixel 2 xl for two months as a throwback and it is definitely struggling. It has a custom ROM and everything but it's noticably slower than my 5a, which feels brand new after using my 2 xl for that long. It sucks because I like the screen and body of the 2 xl more and it just reminds me of the lg v30 I used to have and loved, but it's a struggle to use it
@@Apathy474have you tried a factory reset?
@@AzureRT456 just put the custom ROM on it a few months ago. Its not laggy like how Samsung's used to be back in the day, UI and home screen and normal single app usage is more than fine, but I like to use RUclips PIP and Google maps while doing other things and it hangs for a while when first starting up maps and slows down a bit when multitasking like that
@@jebaker2pixel 2 and 3 had the same camera.
WOW ! currently using S24 Ultra - will see how this one holds up down the line !
How updated is the security is it safe to use after 2024
I got my Note 10 Plus in July and it's been serving me so well. It's my daily driver.
My Note 10+ is still putting up decent performance, gives me 7-8 hours SOT, and takes really good pictures.
I'll continue using this phone until I can afford Samsung S23 Ultra.
S23 Ultra > S24 Ultra IMHO
So the battry is good ?
@@ucbeki
Yeah, the battery is average now... it gives me around 6 hours SOT with moderate use.
@@oluwaseunbernald7698thanks brother
Maybe not Note but had my S10e with 6GB ram till last month, released in 2019, and still sold it for nearly £100, cause it looked like new, whole time kept in case and with screen protector. Battery replaced once, small phone 5.8 inch small battery, great photos, I'm not a phone gamer, but for photos, emails, yt, news and communictors it was brilliant. Unfortunately security patches end up in March 2023, so I had to change for newer.
any screen burning issue ? especially on gesture pill bar and statusbar?
I have Action Launcher on mine.
Are there any other launchers i should check out?
Note 10 plus could have easily gotten One UI 6.1 even without the AI features
I have the snapdragon cpu I can't find a way to upgrade 🦍
Damn beautiful phone ❤❤❤
Please can the Samsung note 10 plus switch users?
@@OmotaraEmmanuel You joined RUclips 2 weeks ago just to write a comment that makes absolutely no sense?
@@PowerScissor I just asked a question
What apps are not compatible with the note 10+?
I have a s20+, and works like a charm. Not planning to waste money in a phone until this one blows up… love the microSD expansion card and DEX too.
I'm still in love with my aura glow "small" Note 10. This Size combined with the S Pen =
Please can the Samsung note 10 plus switch users?
I agree, I'm so obsessed with the look of the phone too.
If it weren't for an unfortunate run in with some very unforgiving marble flooring last year, I'd still be rocking mine.
I still have mines. I don't use it but it was The best phone I ever had a pound for pound. I jump from the Note 10 to the fold four
I still use the Note 10 plus today....
Can you do reviews of a few LG phones?
I lost mine after 5 years, don’t really have the budget for a flagship now, i'm considering re-buying a note 10+
Yep. Still carry my Note 10+ daily. The battery doesn't last as long as I would like anymore, but it is still perfectly functional.
My S10 never skipped a beat. Typing on it. Updates just ruined camera quality though, which was great to being with.
