I felt bad for you at the start knowing what would happen to Daisy. That being said, what happened to Daisy puts everyone on board for the entire rest of the movie and no matter what John did was justified. All time classic movie and personally no one else could have done what Keanu did with this role. That nobody is "John Wick". Great reaction and be well. 😄

OMG yes, I watch so many john wick 1 reactions, and every time I'm like, oh noooo they don't realize what's gonna happen to innocent Daisy, it's such a traumatic scene, but I do love how everyone just roots so hard for john wick after that, the motivation is so crystal clear

While I love all the Wick chapters, I only watch this one for the reaction of the puppy. Because I've seen all of them so many times. But the reactions to the puppy are priceless.

Good observation on when John picks up the gun, you noticed what many overlook. On the bedside table is Daisy's collar and a bracelet that has Daisy flowers on it. This was John's wife favorite flower.

Stealth Adaptation Fact: The security guard who waves Wick (Keanu Reeves) onto the airport runway is reading the 1970s thriller novel "Shibumi" by Rod Whitaker, under the pen name Trevanian, also about a retired master assassin dragged back into the game. The story Viggo (Michael Nyqvist) tells about how Wick once killed three men "with a pencil" is describing a crucial scene from the same novel.

I have a 7 year old beagle named Mabel and she looked very similar to Daisy at that age! After the home invasion scene, I wanted to hug her. Wish I could show you pictures. Beagles never fail to entertain

@XenabReacts yeah Wick retiring left the assassins in that world free to grow accumulate and succeed simply bc John Wick was no longer in the game. And the cop was also made aware of "if he says he's retired, he means it. Don't bother him, and don't give him a reason to come out of retirement." He was THAT prolific.

Baba Yaga,
Babayka is a night spirit (Bogeyman) in Slavic folklore. According to beliefs, he abducts children who do not sleep at night or behave badly. He is rarely described, so that children can imagine him in the form most terrible for them.
At night, he wanders through the streets and puts into his bag those who meet him on the way. Walking near houses, Babayka stands close to the windows and watches the children. If they are awake, he starts to make scary noises, such as rustling, gritting and knocking on the window. Also, Babayka can sometimes hide under the child's bed, and he may take them if they get up.

Yes, many cultures have something similar... In Russia and several other Slavic countries it's Baba Yaga, I believe the Russian version is a withered old witch who steals bad children away - the US version is more of a scary male figure, but the same idea... Behave or the Boogeyman/Baba Yaga will come and take you away as punishment.

-I was late getting into this franchise. I missed Chapters One and Two in the theatres. However, someone I followed on Twitter was huge into them. I decided to check them out before Chapter 3 came out and loved them. I saw Chapter 3 twice in the theatre and Chapter 4 three times. The best part is, when Chapter Four came out, a friend of mine issued an apology to me because he never had any interest in them when I talked them up huge. After he watched them, he was beyond impressed.
-I truly believe that John Wick is one of, if not THE, greatest action movie franchise ever especially when you look at how hard it was to get a movie where the director was a stuntman green lit by a major studio. Every film is top notch. In my order of favorites, Chapter Two comes in last but it’s still such a great movie. Definitely check out Chapters Two and Three before Chapter Four’s home release.
-When it comes to Daisy being the impetus for John’s revenge, it is PERFECT. There are so many clichés to use that have been overdone. The end of Viggo’s speech to Iosef and John’s explanation in the church lays it out perfectly.
-I loved how they let Marcus go out fighting rather than just killing him.
-One of my favorite parts is how, if you watch the chase scene in the SUV and before the attack on John’s house, you realize that Viggo has missed John or, more importantly, “Baba Yaga.” Watch as he says “Baba Yaga” after he finishes the lullaby he was singing and the smile on his face. Then, in the SUV, he’s clearly enjoying the chase.

I started with Chapter 3 as well. My brother has been a fan of the series since the beginning, and he took me to the cinema to see Chapter 3. I thought that one was self-explanatory, so I've been totally hooked since then. I got my dad into the series afterwards, and just took him to the cinema to see Chapter 4. It was crazy.
@@oliverconway6960 Chapter Three was the 1st one I saw in the theaters. I checked out the first 2 on DVD. As for Chapter 4, I’ve seen in 3 times and I’m still blown away especially, to not give spoilers, the big shootout near the end because of the music they used.
To explain how invested in the franchise I’m in, someone put out a scenario on Twitter that I thought was fun. Then, I thought about and I have a story where Bill and Ted fail their history report which sees Ted go to a military academy and ends up becoming John Wick. I used Grosse Pointe Blank as my inspiration.

@@oliverconway6960 I would LOVE to at least put something down on paper. I’m good at coming up with ideas if a concept is interesting enough. However, I would need someone to help me flesh out the story to make it work. I pretty much know the main characters I’d have. I know at least one character that would be referenced. I know the situations involved. I know it would involve “the impossible task” as well as a major focal point of Chapter 2(Not gonna risk a spoiler). I’m pretty sure I know what the main location would be. I know that the template would be Grosse Pointe Blank. I know the direction of the tone I’d want for the story. I have a bunch of details. The problem is, as someone with a somewhat overactive brain(This isn’t a brag. It’s been a reason for my bouts of depression.), I’d overthink it and miss details.

Female and foreign reactors never grasp the fact that Marcus is John's unwavering friend. Marcus had no intention of killing John, he took the contract as a ploy so he could protect him. His loyalty to John cost him his own life. Also that John could not kill Perkins on Continental grounds, rules are rules, till later... I wish people would pay attention when they watch movies, she is enthralled by John to the point where she misses many plot points.
It is so sad that you have a bias about female reactors. I did get the relationship dynamic between marcus and John and did enjoy it, and that's why I was super sad when he died. I also did catch why he didn't kill on the hotel premises but was frustrated that why John had to follow the rule when she clearly did. But i get it. I don't say everything out loud. @@xenabreacts Nope. Don't even try to pull that whiny, woke B.S with me. I said nothing "biased" against anyone. I love the John Wick franchise and I watch every reaction that I can find. I was stating what my experience has shown me. Non-Americans, and non-males tend to miss the points I mentioned until the film reveals all. This was not bias, I simply reported what I have observed.

It's hard for me to answer "what is a bogeyman?" without better knowing your cultural background. If you had something of an evil spirit that comes for bad children in your literature, that would roughly equate to the bogeyman, what Russians call Baba Yaga (a witch that comes for bad children? Help me out here Russians).

The hotel owner said very clearly when he talked to John wick that no buisness can be done in the area means no killing or assaults in the hotel n the assassin girl who attacked John she knew but still did it by killing the friend of John wick with the pillow over his face n shooting him that was her mistake n that's y John wick didn't kill the assassin girl he knocked her out instead
