Sweet ride. I bought the regular 323 mid 90's as a daily driver. It's been sitting for years now across the country from me. I went back to visit family and saw it sitting, with its straight body, little rust and got that itch. It's now at my mechanic's shop back there. Hopefully in two months it'll be ready to drive across country to its new home on the West Coast.
My first car probably the best small hatchback i ever had, I miss it made many cars look stupid, people don't know these cars they think they are your standard mazdas
I've never seen a lefthand drive I sadly sold mine 88 gtx with bp26 last year for $800 I blew my transfer case and couldn't find one I will forever regret it 😭
my dad used to have this car when i was a child, he always work with the car till he doubt there no one can fix the wiring of the car (which is custom-made as my dad told me), the car scare the shit out of me when i sat at the backseat. The B6 turbo is a monster. edit: my dad didn't remove the speed chime of the car which make the car kinda unique for my imo
Bro Im so jealous you have one of these. My brother had one when I was young and I learnt to drive in it. They seem to not exist anymore, especially in good condition. Great work! How much would one these be worth these days? Interested in buying one!
Thank-you! There are a few out there for sale, I recommend joining the Mazda 323 GTX Facebook group, that's the best forum to come across one for sale. Get one now, as time goes by less and less are available for sale.
I have a larger aluminum radiator and very efficient electric fan, so it does a great job of managing the engine temperature even when it is 100F outside (ambient).
@@slownrusty that’s good. But.... I think your engine would benefit from running closer to the factory operating temperature. I’m guessing it still has the standard ecu? Does your radiator fan ever come on?
The fan must be running all time or the thermostat is removed. Because the fan is blowing on a radiator, and the radiator is in use only after thermostat opens the big coolant circle. Might be even both.
I had a neighbour who also bought the digital cluster onEbay. Resold it for a profit later on. Perhaps Honda got its inspiration for the S2000 from the humble 323?
When the flip flops came off, I knew shit was about to get crazy!
hahaha!

The glorious days before Ford almost ran them to the ground. It looks and sounds wicked! Nice ride height.
Nice motor. I paid £500 for mine a decade ago. Needed a bit of work to e it back on the road. Probably worth at least 10x what i paid for it now.

I have the base model of this car and would love to ask some questions!
Super tidy car dude! Any idea why the temperature is so low on the gauge? It should sit just below half way.......
