How much will this drone? 🤔
Am I going to be disappointed by the 1/2" sensor?
Will the remote controller fit an iPad mini 5 in the clamp/mount where u put ur phone??
Is there any kind of obstacle avoidance and if so how does it compare to the higher-end models
Are you guys coming out with an anamorphic lens for this drone?
I got an email from the dji website saying that the mavic air 2 was released and I immediately looked for a review and I am so glad that you made one already
I got the email while watching this video

Great channel .always on point w content
I congratulate you. You go to the point, talk fast but clear and don't try to be a clown to try and personalize your evaluation. Keep it brief, to the point and highlight the features and potential of the drone (and don't just show off your videos). You do that. Keep to it. You are the best!
Makes me excited for what they're going to come up with for the Mavic 3. This tech is evolving stupid fast.
Ugghh but when?!! haha
100% thinking the same thing after reviewing this!
My guess would be 8k sensors, software upgrades and maybe an electronics overhaul for more flight time
@@giantasparagus I feel like the M3 is going to come out late this year, probably like November/December
Once the 3 comes out ill get the 2 pro 😎 👌
When it comes to any photo or video gear, I really like watching Moment reviews, it’s not like other channels that do it for the 10 min. mark only. This reviews are really informative. Thanks moment team!
Means a lot!! Thanks so much
You’re welcome moment team! Just waiting for the quarantine laws to be lifted so that my aunt can bring the gear that I ordered from your shop. I’m from the Philippines 🇵🇭 by the way 😊 kinda expensive but I think it’s worth it. Can’t wait to make videos using the anamorphic lens 🤤
Thank you so much for this excellent analysis and review. I just bought one!
Finally! Ive been waiting new contents from Mike Dewey. Its been so long.
Thank you!
I just bought the Mavic mini a couple of weeks ago, and today I saw they announced this. So I returned my Mavic mini to Best Buy a couple hours ago and told them it had gimbal issues. Cant wait to get my Mavic Air 2 now. lol
TwistTheWrist The mini is more like a kid’s toy.
@@minglnie4801 when it first came out it wasn't. It really packed a punch for its price and size. Yeah the tech is outdated now, but isn't all tech? That's like saying the Samsung Galaxy s9 or the IPhone 10 is a kids toy.
LoyalModding I mean the size and what it can do is more like a kid’s toy compare to other mavic😂
@@minglnie4801 Yeah that's true. I guess it's really you get what you pay for.
Thank you for addressing the old Mavic Air's issue with high-pitch prop whine... glad it's not so annoying now :)
haha glad you caught that :)
I've seen many reviews of this drone on YT. But this one is the best. It really shows what it can do in the field, instead of just sitting behind a desk and doing a talking head while talking boring specs. Nice!
THANKS now I know exactly what ill be purchasing
Me: I'm Broke
Dji: wait a minute
wait a minute, we got sth 4 u.
Fire 🔥💯
The shots at this location were absolutely gorgeous. Dope review.
Dope - thanks for the review!
Looks like an epic upgrade from the Mavic Air - which I've been using on the road since it launched! Stoked to get some epic slow mo aerial footage on my adventures 🎉
It's a great upgrade from the original Air
@@moment the downsides I can see are the jump in weight and the size of the controller though. What are you thoughts?
I've got the Air as well and thinking about this upgrade. Especially for the improved tracking and longer battery life.
It has 4k 60 fps and 34 mins flying time, which are even better than the much more expensive and bigger Mavic 2 Pro. From my point of view, this is the best DJI drone for average people like me.
Saying "48MP is amazing, way better than any other drones in the DJI lineup" without any discussion of sensor size or image quality seems pretty deliberately deceitful or ignorant coming from a photography company... Other reviews of the actual image quality have said the 48MP mode is JPG only and the stills are way softer than 12MP DNG.
Great honest review, I just ordered mine. Upgraded from the Mavic Air
Awesome review. Thanks for the insight.
Pretty cool product. I still think I prefer the Mavic 2 Pro but really good value for sure and the range is insane!! Plus the new controller looks nice. Can't wait to see what they come up with for the Mavic 3 Pro :).
Great hands on. Shots look awesome
Thanks Lex!
@@moment Whats the video location ?
Thanks for the video sections, it helped a lot
Thanks for the reviews, awesome video. Just order mines.
Hey! Thanks for the review. Just a few questions for you please:
- How's the noise? I remember the mavic air 1 was horrible compared to the mavic pro 1...
- Do you still have those issues where it asks you to calibrate the drone every time you take it out?
I noticed the Fly more package comes with nd filters! That right there alone made the fly more package more appealing for me!
Wasnt fly more pack always more appealing?
Houston International Media, totally agree!
Love this channel.
Great review man, thx!
Understand - as of 28 Apr 2020 - the ‘other flying things’ detect and warning feature has not made it into the Air 2 shipping into Europe. Apparently it will be added, later. The virus outbreak has affected production. (I saw this this morning on a BBC UK tech article)
I’m interested to buy myself a drone, so found this review very informative. Loved the analysis, and particularly the comparison with upper and lower spec drones in the range from Mavic.
‘ND filter’ term might puzzle new viewers not into photography. It is a Neutral Density filter. Looks grey. Cuts the light entering the camera lens by a fixed amount, and you can buy different ND filters, cutting the light by different amounts.
So what?
You would use one in very bright conditions - particularly as this review mentions the lens aperture (size of the hole in the lens on the drone’s camera) cannot be changed for this drone model. This will increase the camera’s exposure time, which can improve how a movement in a scene looks.
Right ... off to look at the Mavic Mini and Pro reviews ...
Thanks for the explanation. This entire time I didn’t know what ND meant or the Aperture
Would you be willing to teach me a little more about things if I ever have questions?
"I'm going pretty fast" *standing still*
Great video. That place is epic. The rock formation beautiful.
GREAT REVIEW! Thank You!
This is a perfect upgrade from phantom 3 standard. Liked air too but short range and fly time
This is the air 2. Do you mean "air too"?
u can buy like a $60 that does same stuff as mavic mini on amazon...
@@elmalloc lol yes
Thank you, I’m going to buy this drone tomorrow
Did u
Merc puktun I sure did. Releasing another video with it in a few days.
@@marcanthonystorm can I ask u another question ? Because I dont know where you are...are you allowed to fly this anywhere in canada or America? I travel to both countries back and forth...
@@marcanthonystorm okay will check your video
Merc puktun I’m in America
Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Excellent review.
I just ordered the Fly more combo. My first drone. Can't wait.
from our website? 😜
Cool should be a awesome drone i think i might order one dunno yet
i ordered the same
don't fly indoor. just don't.
Enjoy Man! Safe flights!
Great video. Now the question is if DJI will release a firmware for the Mavic 2 pro to allow the 4K 60 fps.
Even if they can, I don't think so. I feel like it will come with the Mavic 3 pro.
@@brianverga3074 Sure TF hope not. They need to go ahead n do whats right.
Brian Verga Does Anyone know when the Mavic 3 Pro is coming out?
Thanks mate!
Impressive presentation...Thanks
You need to upload in 60 fps, the video looks choppy when you have a fast-moving drone/target. 24 fps is more cinematic but only for slower shots. 5:39 may have been taken in 4K 60fps but you uploaded it in 30 or 24.
60fps put into a 30fps timeline and slowed down by 50% will not look choppy.... 24fps timeline yes.
10:38 - 10:59 wow that 4K is jumpy! Look at the mountains behind. Is this frame dropping? Due to slow microSD? or 4K60 only? Or can it be fixed with a slow shutter + ND filter?
I think he’s shooting in 24fps so that’s probably why. 60fps is super smooth
Because he was shooting in 24fps, i think quickshots don't support 4k60
I'm havin trouble with choppy footage, it seems like your movements have to be super slow otherwise the footage gets choppy very easily.
Excellent review! Subscribed!
Amazing little drone.!!
So I wonder when mavic pro 3 is gonna come out. What's there usual release cycle?
I’m waiting for the same☝️
My Pro is awesome but I’m looking for a mixture of both Pro/Zoom
AWESOME VIDEO! Subscribed for sure! As well as sent to my buddies... So, I just purchased the Mavic 2 Zoom + Fly More Kit two weeks ago. I can still return it. I am curious if I should return the Zoom and purchase this Air 2? I am a backpacker / hiker and portability is huge for me... However, it's not like the Zoom is THAT big anyway. I am curious if you believe the air 2 is an UPGRADE to the Zoom even though its CHEAPER?! Would love your take.
Shane Moffo Well what did you end up doing? I had a chance on getting a used zoom with the fly more package, for the same price of the basic kit MA2. Ended up going with the MA2 due to the new hardware. Should be here in 2 days!
Welcome to the middle of freakin' nowhere! LOVE IT!! Thanks for the detailed review!
Happy to have screen back on top. This May be next gift to self
Is this all new footage from the Mavic Air 2?
Couldn't help but notice the Mavic 2 Pro cameo at 11:07 (side sensors & huge hasselblad silver gimble)..... so hence the question.
Hi! Thank you for this great first test! Actually, I have one important concern about this new Mavic Air 2, which is about Active Track function. I got the Mavic Air 1 and I have tried a few times to use it while skiing and use the Active Track function. The problem is that the active track does not want to follow you down, and the drone is staying at the same altitude, which is as the end completely useless. So my question is, will this new drone and this new Active Track 3.0 be improved to finally make the job while using it with Active Track on an activity where the subject is changing its level up or down ?! I have not seen that in your video, since you were using the active track but moving on a flat ground. This big improvment would actually surely makes me go for this new drone! Thanks for your reply!
While the Active track is not near perfect yet, it is much better that the Air 1. It locks onto your subject much better and it keeps it in shot much better, and with APAS 3.0 it avoids obstacles much better. Still, I would not completely rely on the Active Track and sensors
Had a Mavic mini for a few weeks. Sent it back. Very excited for this drone. Arrives tomorrow.
great video. thanks
Perfect price and specs compared to Mavic Pro
What is that location? Those rock mountains are gorgeous.
I think it might be, and I’m not at all certain, but I think it might be out in the middle of nowhere...
Probably California
@@Mrtweet81 you are correct, he states in the begin he is in the middle of nowhere.
drew sandoval that would be the middle of nowhere.
To me, it looks like Alabama Hills... Which is actually in CA.
Superb 🔥🔥
my last drone is Inspire 1 bought in 2015.its truly amazing how fast drone technology grows in just 5 years.
I don't own a Drone, but want to get this one. How is the learning curve on this drone?
Easier than a RC car
If you know up from down and left from right, then your an expert. Oh and a little common sense.
45 Auto 🙌🏻😀👍🏻
45 Auto agree..haha...
Learning to fly it is easy. What you need though is a license to fly.
Location: Middle of freaking nowhere
Temperature: Hotter than crap
Looks amazing tho
really great review!
in the middle of nowhere with an orange stool... Thank you for your time & review.. making me think about which drone(s) best fit my needs. Not mentioned here but I heard the smart controller from the Mavic 2 pro can also be used on the new Mavic Air 2.. which is awesome... Love the location you're in... Looks like an Ancient ruin....
I'm in love! I've been thinking about buying the Mini as my first drone since it came out but I do think the extra cost for this one is totally worth it. The footage at 5:39 looked a bit choppy, is that because of high shutter rate to keep exposure down or something else?
Yep, ND filters will fix that.
@@huntstyle Are those available yet? Pretty important since fixed aperture.
ND filters come with the Fly More package.
The Mavic Mini actually is much better than when it first came out. It now has manual aperture controls and white balance with the last two updates and throw an ND filter on there and it looks pretty damn good. I use the hell out of mine. I use it for indoor overhead shots because of it size.
@@BrandonTalbot Yeah I saw that like 30 minutes after writing my comment! Thats an awesome addition to the value of the Mini. Somewhat strange this (Air 2) doesn't have manual shutter but if the Mini got it, maybe this will one day too :)
Imagine 10 years later what this drone will be capable of.

I know right
Thanks for the review. I just pre-ordered one!
Thanks!
can you tell me if the drone during the active track mode follow you even if you're going downhill for example when you're skiing? the last mavic had the problem that the drone was staying all the time at the initial altitude and didn't follow the subject that was decreasing his elevation, the drone followed the subject only in the case he increase the elevation. Does mavic air 2 overcome this problem??
Thank a lot

You are very talented. Thanks for the information.
Here is my latest music video shot with the Mavic Air 2:
ruclips.net/video/Q_pXyOVSuwc/видео.html
Can you lock the exposure setting? It looked like exposure may have shifted in some shots. Thanks.
I guess it was in auto mode like sth
Of course you can lock exposure
At that price I would say yes
@@TryllHDTv Knowing DJI why would you say "of course"? They're known for leaving off features. Better to have a definitive answer.
whacked42 he’s shooting on auto LOL.
When i can buy it?!

Did you order one already?
11:23 I love the music you have here, the drone is fly Cinema. Thanks heaps for your review. Very helpful
CINEMATIC VIEW
Very impressive! 👏👍
Cool features but man that footage was rather choppy and not smooth at all.
I guess its because he used very high shutter speed
@@saromontes No - he was using 24 fps in the choppy video. Makes me wonder what speed card he had.
@@JonSmith-fc2mm I still think he used High shutter speed like 1/8000 or so, when he should have 1/48 ( in conjuction with 24 fps video ) to make the video "smoother" (Hight shutter speed = less blur, lower shutter speed = more blur) But i could be wrong :)
@@saromontes Correct :) Need ND Filters!! Once I get my hands on one I'll do a follow up!
I think it's actually from all the different framerates mixed within the video. It's typically referred to as "Fame Interpolation" and this is something that has to be addressed in whatever software you're using for editing the video and is something that seems to be often missed. For example if you take a 24FPS video and turn it into a 30FPS video, without proper frame interpolation it's going to be choppy because now the frames don't match up
I've always wanted a dji drone but college life can't let it happen 😓
patience . you got this
You mean college life WILL make it happen!
Wait till you have kids
@@BambiCorroIII lol
You can do it! Im living the college life too and im on my 2nd drone thx to uber and pizzas lol
Great review!!!
Thanks for the excellent review.
Best Mavic Air 2 review I have come by.....bar none!
The shots are beautiful, but 24fps hurt my eyes! But still a good video :)
4K 60 footage looks choppy as heck. Why is that?
Dropped frames? Hmmmm, he probably had a slow microSD card?
Love the esthetics in the video! Great review!
Thanks for the review - just ordered bro
Litterally just paid for it
Did you just order the mavic air 2 or the mavic air 2 fly more combo?
I just got it as well with the fly more combo

why 4k 24 fps is lagging? rolling shutter is also looks very bad ...

Me too! I live in Loveland and just ordered mine last night!
THANKS !!!
Very cool video , love the format . New subscriber Cheers 👍🇨🇦
Very cool. I have all the Mavic series except for this one. Might have to add it to my fleet . Nice video!
Thank you, that was really helpful!
Thanks for this video!
I was so on the fence with this and the pro. I'm a professional photographer on a budget, but really wanted the ability to adjust the aperture.
Knowing that the camera on the Air 2 can accept ND and CPL filters, I'll be buying the Air 2 with the confidence it'll give me what I'm looking for.
I love taking landscapes around Kentucky, and am really looking forward to seeing a new dimension in my photo & video work with the use of a drone.
Nice work y'all!

Your reviews was very detailed 👍👍
Thanks for the video lad 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
I like your color grading. Feels and looks timeless.
Thank you for the review!
Just got one from my birthday, I will test it out today and let’s see... I had spark before and now air 2
I just picked this up today
Even as a hobbyist flyer I don’t see getting rid of my Mavic Pro, but the Air 2 adds a lot of fun and at $799 it’s a game- changer. I can see using Rocket a lot, especially in the mountains. Thanks for pumping me up, brother. An old guy in Colorado.
