As an banglorean i can tell the prices are so inflated in Bangalore due to Demand , I let you know my story😂 I had purchased 2017 swift dzire Zdi with festival offers i got it for 9.2L , cut to chase i sold it in 2021 for 7l ,where i had multiple buyer's for this price😅 At present i have hyundai i20 bought in 2021 and will sell in year end Overall its best to buy new and sell it within 5 yrs in Bangalore, maths does math here 😂

I simply love this series. Now I'm planning to own used Honda City after watching your last episode but I want clarity on how to manage finances for owning a car I'm a newbie and don't have any financial knowledge. Started earning recently. Please do guide, we genuinely need a car for my family to frequently go to hospitals for check up
@@pranayk37 sure thing. Shall I go with maruti that I can easily afford. Mostly I'll be using this in the city. I want a car for long term. Just currently confused shall I go with my choice that is city, or go what my pocket allows me considering car is something which I look as a long term investment
Bangalore registration tax is almost double compared to few other states in India therefore used cars tend to be more expensive in Bangalore and also the weather is fantastic for a Vehicles overall long term use.
Hi Pranay We have good weather 😝 but unfortunately not good roads and used car market. Can you please do an episode on where and how to look for demo care and how evaluate them and get a good deal.
Can we have an episode regarding bank repo cars as well? I see many ads about eauction website but am not sure as to how should one approach these listings.
And i will give you an extra piece on information on the Captur... That is being sold from precarmart which offers one year warranty and they check well the service history before buying and also buy cars that have done lesser kms.. Only thing is to negotiate well as I could have got 50k less for my Octavia that I bought from them. Their service is all good except that for insurance transfer you need to pay and also go through the hassle. Only RC transfer is taken cate by them
sellers are keeping scope for negotiation , as Indian buyers love to negotiate. if the car is worth 5 lakhs, and the seller lists the price at 5 lakhs then the buyers for sure expects to buy it at 4.25 to 4.50 lakhs. the seller doesn't want to lose money in this trade. maybe this could be a possible reason for this exorbitant over pricing.
The best thing a buyer can do is to quote a price to the seller that he thinks is fair and then just leave. Don't negotiate or talk much with the seller. Just tell them this is your price, if interested call you back. A seller who is in a lill hurry to sell his car will be ready to get his price down
Maybe that’s why used car market has increasing unsold car numbers especially when coupled with higher interest rates for used car loans ultimately the overall gap in price is not wide enough and the idea to save for another few months and buy a new one, at a cheaper loan without any fear of frauds of faulty car, meter-back, creeps in.
Quick addition: The Jazz did not share its engine with the City in India. Globally it comes with the same engine as the city, but here in India it shares its engine with Amaze and Brio i.e the 1.2 i-vtec.
Hey Pranay love the series, keep it coming! If you could do this on other websites which sell 2nd hand cars like spinny or cars24 it would be interesting.
There is no restrictions in the age of cars in Bangalore. Post 15 years, you’ve to get an FC done every 5 years which will renew your registration. You can do this till a maximum of 40 years so effectively, after that you have to register your vehicle as a vintage car. So technically you can drive a car for 40 years here. the 33 percent initial depreciation estimate technically shouldn’t be considered here right? I know it won’t make much of a difference but suppose we were to consider the above fact. What estimates should we go for? 5 percent per year?
Nope. Its horrible don’t buy first hand. Dealers are giving like 50-60% price for a 2 yr old ev that im trying to sell. For a used buyer though, its a great market 😅
I think we can do a formula to calculate the price. 4% for every year of ownership and 4% for every 10,000 kms. And then additional depreciation if car is a 2nd owner car.
Need a video on under 15L for Bangalore. Not finding great deals 😢 should I just come to Delhi and buy used car and get it registered in Bangalore? Looking for Škoda or Volkswagen which is less than 3-4 years old automatic ones? What should I do?
Love the video! Would it be possible to automate finding these deals? Maybe by scraping car listings from websites and using a filter to identify those that fit the framework. Then we could quickly scan the most promising options!
lol, In Bangalore 2012 Alto K10 is being sold for 2.5 lakhs as 1st owner, 70K driven. The original price then was 4.1 lakhs . Although it’s BS4 , still costs you that price.
I had 2019 Renault Capture Diesel Platine Dual Tone Top spec which I sold in 2021, but I regret my decision as the build quality of car rock solid, handling was excellent, throttle response was punchy and suspensions were so soothing, Goa trip never felt tiring I really really repent selling Capture and now even if I try, I am unable to find it in used market

Do keep in mind that the road tax in West Bengal is paid in intervals of 5 years. That's a big reason the cars seem to be much better priced because in intervals of 5 years, you need to keep paying the road tax, etc. on the car again, which in case of states like Delhi or Haryana is a one time payment for the full life of 15 years
@@siddhantmittal6790 I am not sure about that. I think you can choose to pay one time up to 5 to 15 years. I would still consider Kolkata to be a better place to own a pre owned vehicle. It’s just add more value. Once you are looking out to own a pre owned vehicle consider these things and you will still get a great deal. A lot of luxury pre owned segment has also come up. I have owned 2 pre owned vehicles in Kolkata till date (i10 and grand). The experience has been decent. The only cost I had to bear is to change the clutch plate but then again I got good condition i10 era 2010 model in just 1.5 lakhs

Don't we need to take Inflation in account when calculating prices?
When we compare prices of the new car, it's taking inflation into account
Since the older cars do not have the new modern features that the new cars are having, it's safe to negate the inflation factor for this.
