I wish I had started sooner. I like number 3, invest within your means and don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle. We are all on different paths!
You exhibit great common-sense for someone so young and clearly speak from experience which is the source of all knowledge. Excellent video.
Only a Canadian can give you the most safe, sound, unbias advice. Thanks for the content bro, i hope your channel blows up! Keep it up💪🏾🙏🏾
Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. Calm, unemotional, solid and logical advice. No BS. If you want that, the Excited States of America awaits!

Long video, can't believe I watched it without getting bored.
Wow I felt like #3 was made just for me, great video Brandon. I love the quality of the info, editing and background here
Wow. Thanks for the advice. I just started investing this year. Going really slow. Just $50 a week. And trying not to get too greedy and believing I can catch the next big thing 😄
My stocks that I bought from Bandon and ( Canadian in a t shirt Adrian )suggestions are all in green.
hi what are you using to invest
hey man. i just turned 18 and i decided i would take better care of my money and see long term! i found one of your video and the way you explain it is extremely nice and...appeasing ? i love it. youre better than those extreme and loud investing advisors on every goddamn youtube ad. Thansk for that.
Amazing tips. I just started investing in April. Took advantage of the market crash to invest in different companies. All your points are right on. I've learned so much in this short period of time. I've seen a couple of your videos and I like your take on investing and helping other new and experienced investors any way you can. Just subscribed! Good job 😄
From my own experience in investing over several decades, I think your advice is spot-on. I found myself nodding in agreement with each and every new point you made.
Appreciate that StackAndPrepper
Great video, I am a beginner to investing, I'm 18 and instantly I found your channel, went back in time to your first videos and started learning. Thank you for all your advice and support AND book recommendations! look forward to every video you post, keep it up!!
Awesome video! I was so sad when he didn't include "palantir" with the magic 8 ball and crystal balls that people think the experts have
I will be starting to do investments. As a newcomer, I realized I have a lot information to absorb. Your videos are giving me the learnings I need to get. Hope to watch more videos from you. Thank you
Keep it up! Love these stock videos
Thank you for very informative video as I was about to chase previous performance !! Excellent wake up call !!
thanks for sharing your exp Brandon very helpful, great for young people also looking to do something worthwhile
Thanks so much - I’m very grateful you share with us. I’m very new and so excited to learn and grow
Awesome job Brandon! You have a great voice and presentation. When you spoke about you experience about selling your RRSP, don’t forget to mention that you’re also taxed on your withdrawal. Keep up the great work!!! I look forward to watching your other videos.
I like your point about not needing to wait to break even. A lot of people do that, but sometimes you have to cut your losses. By taking the loss, you can put that money into something more likely to grow so you come out ahead. Thanks for this great video.
True
Always consider the opportunity cost.
Dropping that knowledge komrad! 🙌
Great advice!! #4 was a typical case of dunning-kruger effect's first peak!!! Cheers!!
So young and yet so matured! Subbed!
wow I'm 18 and so eager to invest that I've been putting over 75% of my income into my portfolio, your comment on the consequence of pulling money out of the rrsp saved me because I was considering selling my 150 AC stocks in the near future....11/10 video.
I like this type of presentation. Fresh and genuine! Kudos!!!
Thanks Francis. Cheers!
I started watching your videos and liking more and more, you’re more mature than your age. Excellent Presentations over and over, keep it up.
#4 and #5 is also great advice in all of society, not just investing 😁
An anchor in a choppy sea. Worth seeing more than once.
I LOVE when you say stock market crashes are once in a decade opportunities ! I started investing at the peak in august 2019 and it started going down and I wanted so bad to sell but I didn’t end up doing but I also did not buy more .. And then it went back up and I realised I had missed an opportunity. So glad I realised that a year ago ! When it started going down in february this year, I started investing a lot .. So glad I learned that life lesson a year ago and was able to do some dollar cost averaging during the current situation :) great video BTW 😊
You are a very wise young man. Thanks for the great advice.
Thanks for the video truly enjoy and value your opinion...keep up the good work lots of love from Ontario
Cheers Chuck. Appreciate the comment :)
great insight for current times esp!!!
Great videos my brotha I'm glad you got a channel going on financial matters
Thank You for guidance
Thank you so much sharing your knowledge. I really like the example of soup. A friend told me that it was good to make a notes of all the positive things that you see in the stocks you buy and that when you feel like selling. Read your notes and remember all the benefits that you studied and therefore bought those stocks.
Your videos are amazing, well explained each part, every time time I have a question you literally answer it in the video the next second really good video for a beginner like me thank you
That was great video! Its very important for beginners specially and kind of refresher for those who are already into this business.
Very informative Brandon! Love your channel.
Thank you for this amazing tips. I have only been investing for 1 week now. I am so excited to learn the smart and more valuable knowledge.
Great Video! Thanks for sharing your insights, it's definitely very helpful to many. Really inspires many to invest intelligently. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing. Best to avoid is CNBC.
obviously great advice for a new investor, thanks! some great tips in here
Your content is so useful. Keep posting such valuable videos. Also can you put some light of topics like futures, options and commodity trading.Thank you
Thanks Brandon, this is awesome
Great video!
Very resourceful content here... Cheers👍🏼
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Good content.
I did all of these things... bang on!
Great Video. Thanks Brandon
Awesome video, Brandon! Greetings from Montreal, new subscriber but long time viewer of your content! On the topic of #4 "Never trusting Media headlines", it is absolutely true. Remember, everyone in the financial world has some interest and agenda. If someone tells you a certain stock will skyrocket, they're trying to make you buy stock, which will increase its price on the stock market. The opposite, a statement that 'judgement day' is coming and a stock or a sector will come down crashing targets easily spooked shareholders that will panic and sell their positions, which will drive the price down and make the hedge fund that shorted that stock millions. I am sticking to ETFs. I am a financial pussy, afraid to take much of a risk, and I like the passive approach.
This is excellent, thank you!
Hey Brandon, thank you very much for your videos I’m very interested in investing on the side and your RUclips channels are amazing to listen to in the morning when I’m doing my treadmill. Thank you again and hope to see more of your videos keep up the great work for all Canadians
this book intelligent investor is a hefty book but actually so plainly laid out across so many pages, it becomes very clear, soon after reading, just how useful it was to have gone over the material within.
That said I appreciate a lot of the bullet points in this, I am currently looking at recovering gains, am not really technically down contributions only down profit. I won on international trucks and AMD last year. +33% overall. Considering cutting losses.
One thingI personally do is leave the profit in a stock, the equivalent gains stay within and i move my contribution into a new area. Worked last year and I mean this year just keeping money still, and dollar cost averaging.
your humility is refreshing
All true. I knew all these but I was not able to articulate them as he did here.
Great points for the beginner.Thx
New to Canada.. love your channel.
Thanks for great video Brandon
excellent advice bro Thank you!
I really appreciated this video; thanks, man!
Thank you! Very helpful hints
This was absolutely fantastic advice!
Every video I've seen so far mentions that Intelligent Investor book it sucks because I truly hate reading but I'm pretty fascinated by this whole investment and stocks journey I've embarked on so maybe it'll get me to finally start reading. Thanks for the video Brandon, great job.
Awesome video. How anyone could down vote it is beyond me 🙄

Buy the dip works only in current limitless print system. We have to watch out for system swap coz if paradigm change fleecing will occur.
Great video, man.

Well it's the first time in my life that I have that much money in my account (I'm a student and my part time job is well paid) so I'm thinking about investing it because I have way too much money sitting in my account and I'm glad to have found this channel. + 1 sub
New investor here from January, an scary roller custer to start investing but I survived picking some good companies and being patient. The most I learnt is don't believe the headlines and the short time issues. I am ready to buy more good companies in next correction.
Great content, keep it up!
subscribed. Another fellow Vancouverite here.
Great video👍👍👍👍.
Really like your explanation 👍
Awesome video Brandon! The only thing I wish I knew before I started investing is why i didn't learn how to invest earlier! 😃✅🙏🏻
Great content! Quick question: What are the repercussions of switching to a different ETF portfolio as you grow closer to retirement and may want a lower risk asset allocation? I'm thinking about every 10-15 years switching to a lower risk ETF portfolio.
