    Ran this in my 4 runner for 10 years , purchased with a bad gasket un knowingly. Anyway a month after purchasing i realized its a gasket and not hose rafiatir or water pump. Put a bottle of k seal in and it lasted 10 years and almost 200k miles. Now if you drive your car hard it will blow the k seal out i did end up adding a second bottle 2 years later due to being impatient and passing a line of alow semis. That lasted me another 8 years 360k miles on the odometer and i was on it hard again one evening on my way home and it finaly gave out on me vapor locked the engine. So i need a rebuild now. But 10 years and 260k miles i would highly reccomend it to anyone for a minor gasket leak that doesnt have the time or money for a rebuild at the time. I was lucky and got 10 years out of it.

      I got an 05 impala too with 290+ miles that was said the head gasket was blown. Car smoking from tail pipe but not overheating. Also dipstick still has oil color with a little milky tint to it. Would K seal be ideal for a temporary fix?

      I tried the K seal it slowed up tremendously from smoking. Only thing I didn’t do was pour coolant in radiator. Plan on doing this once car cools down. Outside trying to be the jack of all trades at 8 months pregnant with desperate need for my car right now.

    Just bought this for my 8th gen civic fd. My radiator had small bubbles and pressure every time I took it for a spin (possible pinhole leak in the head gasket). Tried it today, drained some coolant first and put some directly to the top radiator hose then mixed some to the coolant I returned. I only used maybe 3/4 of the bottle since my cooling system only has 5.5 liters of coolant. And wow! the results are very positive! No more pressure and bubbles on the radiator. And the car felt smoother and responsive after using it for 20mins. This is a real game changer! Super impressed with this K-seal. Will observe it more for a couple of days, but the initial results are promising! Excellent product!

    I actually just did a HG job on my 1997 Talon. Head was sent to the machine shop for a complete overhaul. Head was resurfaced. Dropped in a MLS gasket. Was super close on using a copper spray on the HG but machine shop notified me not to, so I didn't. Everything was put together yesterday. Now has a slow leak coming from the corner of the head. The block did have some warpage, but it was within spec. Shop told me I'd be fine. I should've sprayed that copper stuff. I don't want to tear it all down again, I don't have the time. Debating on trying a pour-in type of head/block leak fix.

    It works well. Used it in my old bugeye to get me through until I had time to change my headgaskets. Ended up working nonstop for about 2 months 7 12s. The k seal held up the entire time and didn't plug up my heater core. I was driving about 130 miles a day to and from work for those 2 months and had 0 issues. When I put it in my car it was billowing smoke out of the exhaust and over a 15 minute period of time the smoke slowed then completely stopped. I flushed the coolent system after I changed my headgaskets and everything was fine.

    I'm glad this works for you. I bought my bottle of kseal in the winter for my 96 LeSabre 3800 motor. I just got around to changing the coolant from that ass nasty dexcool, rinsed it out, added a nice universal coolant a few days ago. I'm gonna add my kseal in there and hopefully it will solve my steam problem.
    By the way, that aint smoke.
    It's steam.
    According to the Buick 3800 forum, it aint always the head gaskets. With the 3800 it's possibly the intake manifold gasket. So I'll be crossing my fingers after I go to cycle it hot and cold a few times. 🤞

    A few months ago I had an issue with a leaking heater core leaking into the interior of my high-mileage 2003 Chevy Impala on the passenger side. I've had hit-or-miss results with stop leak products in the past but researched and decided to try the *K-Seal ST5501* (not the K-Seal Ultimate) for under $10 at a local Walmart. The instructions claim that it works within minutes and IT DID! Some stop leak products e.g. Steel Seal instruct to remove the thermostat to allow the product to flow uninhibited in order to take effect properly. I can't do that because my Impala's thermostat is buried under a crossover pipe and prohibitively inaccessible. K-Seal does NOT instruct to remove the thermostat, but I ran the engine as warm as possible with the radiator cap removed to allow the thermostat to open as fully as possible before adding the K-Seal (after having extracted some coolant from the radiator to make room for it while leaving the radiator core submerged and also with the heater turned ON to highest setting as instructed). The interior heater core drip disappeared virtually IMMEDIATELY and I ran the car for the specified time to ensure the expected result. To date, the heater core hasn't leaked and the coolant level has remained to top level.
    I did have a side issue with the repair such that there's been a lingering smell of coolant in the passenger compartment and more so when I accelerate which causes the coolant to flow more forcefully through the heater core. Then the smell dissipates and everything normalizes. I suspect that the heater core may be weeping coolant but slowly enough to allow the fan to dry the liquid before it has a chance to develop a drip. My Impala's heater has always worked incredibly well, and my concern with using coolant stop leak is that it may clog the heater core and the of course, no heat.
    Just a few days ago I saw that my coolant temperature gauge behaved erratically and I recognized the sign of a blown head gasket as I've had that issue with same Impala several years ago before I replaced the engine with a 70,000-mile salvage engine for $1200. The following morning I used my Lisle Spill-Free Funnel to purge the air from the cooling system and sure enough air did escape although not as much as when I had the previous blown head gasket issue. So air is getting into coolant and the only logical conclusion is a blown head gasket. Since 3 days ago, the coolant temperature gauge is again behaving erratically - rising higher once the engine warms up, the fluctuating before finally normalizing. Tomorrow morning I'll use my homemade coolant leaker tester and fluid to confirm, and I'd try K the K-Seal Ultimate but my concern with it is clogging the heater core. But if the K-Seal doesn't work again this time and a blown head gasket persists, the car is toast and I'd need to junk it. Thank you.

    My daily an 00 sunfire 2.2 I was one the freeway when a hose decided to detach I pulled over and tuned it off but I think even in that short time the aluminum head warped just a fraction and coolant started leaking into my cylinder 4 just a tiny bit used some k seal because it just a beater over 200k and it seemed to do the job. I put a thousand miles a week on it and I've lost zero coolant so it seems to be doing its job I did use a garden hose and flush out the system after a month and topped it off with dex cool and yeah zero problems

    I have a 2019 Infiniti Q50 3.0t. I’m seeing light white smoke coming from my tailpipe when i accelerate. I see the trail of smoke when I’m driving off then it goes away. I don’t see any visible leaks, checked the oil stick to see if i see anything (milky). I did smell a light sweet scent from the exhaust. Do you suggest K seal or could it possibly be something else?

    • @bought2build
      @bought2build  Год назад +5

      Honestly with something that new and being a nice car I personally wouldn’t. I mean would it work? I think it probably would but in my opinion k seal is something I would use on an old like “beater” vehicle that you are just trying to get a little longer out of. I personally wouldn’t use it on a nice newer car like the Q50 personally I would perform a leak down test and a compression test and go from there and have it professionally diagnosed if you can’t find anything and have it fixed properly. Thanks for checking out the video! 🤟🤟

No visible leaks, no coolant oil mix, and no smoke outta tail pipe. Changed thermostat, radiator, radiator cap. Still slowly over heated. So I’m gonna get it compression test tomorrow and verify. Will k seal be good for 2005 dodge neons? I really can’t afford a new car rn or fix it 😭 I need it to last me for rest of this year at least. And has anybody driven it across country with sealer ?
