Another point about the exaggeration in sizes (like the tiles on the roof) is that the same thing is done with the way the "camera" functions. The supposed focal length of the lens is changing all the time to allow all the extreme angles and framings to be captured in a way that would never be possible with a real physical camera, especially with a singular lens shooting a continuous shot like this.

demon slayer takes the cake for me when it comes to fight scenes, for a long time this scene lived in my mind rent free and was then evicted and thrown out on the street when i watch tanjiro vs rui! but gooood forgot how much this scene KILLS IT!!
Meh. My son and I watched Demon Slayer to see what the hype was all about, and we were so disappointed that we stopped watching after a few episodes. I've never watched the Fate series, but my son tells me that it's far better than DS, animation wise.
Tbh this fight was 30 times better then ds. Not only cuz the dynamicness of the fight but the flow of the lines and like it getting thicker at certain points was just amazing. Like the interaction was fast but I can process all of it. Imo 2d is always better then 3d and thats why ds fights fail in comparison. They just throw special effects everywhere and call it a day
Honestly Wit studio came out of nowhere as a studio and have already become one of my/many others personal favourite studio. Yes they have struggled massively with production problems and almost went bankrupt after S1 of AOT. In fact even recently despite releasing banger after banger they made a loss as of 2021 of around $4.5 million dollars. Luckily they are owned by IG productions so it's not as bad as it could be. If you want suggestions for other amazingly animated scenes from Wit than take a look at Vivy. The fight scenes are amazing in that show. If you want some other studios works than Mob Psycho (Bones), One punch man (Madhouse), Mushou Tensei (Studio Bind) and Drifters (Hoods Drifter Studios). Anyway loved the video hope to see more anime in the future.
Wit Studio didn't come out of nowhere. As you mention, they are owned by IG productions, not because they bought them, but because it's IG that created Wit as a subsidiary. It's IG employees from IG production section 6 who started Wit. One of their last work for IG before Wit was PSYCHO-PASS.
I showed this scene to my animation professor in about December of 2021. I don't really remember what he said, but he questioned the thread like things "coming out of them". All I said was to think of it like Spiderman...but I probably should have expanded on it being a part of the gear they were wearing.
For me the best written characters in this entire show is Erwin and Kenny..thier character arc and development was insane eventho both died eventually 👌🔥

I think good examples of good animation is fog hill the five elements, hitori no shita, amd i think sword of the stranger's final fight. They all got excellent showcase of movement and just dynamicness of the fights.
I always saw this scene as being drawn as if it were from the view of a camera in a 3d environment...things going from left to right and right to left makes sense if a camera is following the action
Yeah I remember people making fun of the in-betweens. Which I guess I don't blame them. But it's not like it made the animation any less appealing. Also, there's things you can get away with when it comes to high octane action scenes like these. And as amazing as these look, I am just as amazed when I see great character animation. My jaw drops just as much when I see characters do mundane things animated beautifully. With these more subtle animation, it requires more perfection in each frame. It needs consistent anatomy and physiognomy. Like for me personally, I have more favorite character animations that stick to me than I have actions scenes.
when the guy talks about levi shooting the chair, to me it diddnt really look like a bullet sized item that came out, looked more like a baseball to me. but idk i only caught a glimpse

I didn't know the name of the studio until they changed it , but I'm never forgetting it again , I'm watching Ousama ranking and it's amazing to see how even an anime with a simple art Style can look so great when a good studio adapts it , anime should improve and enhance the source material with great voice acting , great animation and soundtracks and sometimes improve the art style if needed , thank you Wit for 3 amazing seasons i wish they let you finish but im grateful for what we could get Btw I'm not throwing shade at any other studio , while I'm not the biggest fan of how mappa did season 4 ( personal taste) , i still think mappa is a good studio and part 2 has shown some improvement , if you like what mappa did more that's fine this is just me
And then MAPPA got the production of AoT and they were never able to do anything close to this quality. I don't even care about the CGI Titans but the lack of dynamic action scenes with cool camera angles and nice shading is really sad, the scenes with the ODM gear (the few ones MAPPA did) are so stiff and simple, that's really sad. Even the best ODM gear sequence MAPPA did (in episode 22 of the 4th season) is not that good (especially because this scene of ep 22 is supposed to be nostalgic and epic). We can see that MAPPA doesn't do many of these scenes because they can't do it with the same quality we see in basically every single ODM scenes during the 1st - 3rd seasons.
@@simwin4494 yes you're right, it's the fault of the businessmen who screwed up everything. I would wait whatever it took to see this 4th season with the same quality as the previous seasons. But probably the investors got new animes to make money and just wanted to finish AoT as fast as they could to get the money now and not in half a decade. Watching the trailer of the Chainsaw Man we can see what Mappa is capable of, and how cool the 4th season would be if they had the proper amount of time and budget.
There are a lot of anime that has some insane animation but If I we're to recommend some to react to it's probably gonna be *Fate* and its best fight scene which is *Alter Saber vs Berserker* or *Demon slayer* and it's popular fight scene today which is *Uzui Vs Gyutaro*
On kinda the same note i think theres a lot of good animated fights on World Trigger season 3 , or even the fight in boruto when Naruto used Baryon Mode
If your looking for a cgi only anime to react to there is some beautiful scenes in land of the lustrous made by studio orange (same studio that did beastars)
Watching these students react on this animation is akin to surgery students analyzing the aftermath of a succesfull operation done by a veteran surgeon. They just described what they see, nothing adds to its value because the animation is already perfect. Hahaha
