@antlerman7644 this man is in cahoots with Iron Mug. The only reason they spread misinformation and call the reports irritating is so Iron Mug and crew can continue their rampage of evil unreported on and therefore unhindered.
I come bearing frightening news: Iron Mugulis attempted to ambush me this morning. I went to take a sip of coffee and instead was met by its cold, murderous glare. I barely survived its signature move Half Full by using U-turn, switching places with an extremely unfortunate passerby who met their demise at the hands of this foul mechanical beast. Thankfully I was able to subscribe to Jimothy Cool before it found me again. Stay safe, everyone
Lucario will forever be iconic. TeraNormal Extremespeed mostly reduces its one weakness as an attacker, being a slow cleaner. Honestly, it might sound broken or busted, but it would have been amazing if Justified was replaced by it’s Mega ability, Adaptability. It would basically be a slower Mega Lucario but with just as high attacking power. And perhaps that could allow it to break past Iron Mugulis?
Knowing iron mugulis is out there scares me half to death. It’s hard to decide where to go from here knowing he’s out. I’ll make sure to buy the Jimothy Cool branded bunker to protect me from that behemoth
If Iron Mugulis attempts to hide in the PU tier, the powerful gen 4 Pokémon Luxray may be able to help locate Iron Mugulis due to its x-ray vision, as well as its powerful ability “guts” and move “facade” which will allow it to easily KO even the most bulky iron mugulis in two hits
I've always found the UU metagame more interesting than OU. The general vibe I get from most Pokemon in OU is that most of them have a really great combination of type, movepool, ability, offensive stats, defensive stats and speed. Either something excels in 2 and is at least OK in the other 3 aspects, or they're borderline busted in 1-2 and only really have 1 of the 6 aspects they're bad at. Like why use a Glass cannon when Dragonite is just as much of a cannon while also being made of reinforced dragonscales? In UU on the other hand, a Pokemon like Lucario can shine as a wallbreaker despite only really having good (but nowhere near busted) offensive stats, type combo and movepool. While having poor defensive stats to make up for its qualities.
I recently did a Pokemon Diamond run with a physical Lucario equipped with Close Combat and Swords Dance and let me tell you, it was so powerful. After giving it some speed IVs, I challenged Cynthia on my first run, used Swords Dance twice, and almost swept her team with Close Combat. Don't worry, I used Earthquake against her Spiritomb. Overall, Lucario was the goat in that playthrough and I'm glad to have him on my team for the first time. Seeing Lucario in Gen 9 UU made me feel relief. Also, great video as always Jim and let's hope that Mabosstiff tracks down Iron Mugulis. 👍
It should also be of note that; despite being better as, and primarily used as a physical attacker, Lucario is no slouch as a mixed or special attacker. Its move pool is more limited, but still has stab on Aura Sphere and Flash cannon (Or Steel Beam if you’re feeling spicy), along with not irrelevant coverage like Psychic or Shadow Ball.
@@swampertpokemon MORE limited; Lucario has lots of special moves, but not many that cover what you would want them to cover. They also have, in general, lower base power than the physical side.
I always felt it was the higher power of it's STABs and access to priority that made Lucario a better physical attacker than special. It also has more coverage options on the physical side as well, as while I can say that Shadow Ball is solid for it, I'm not sure what specifically you'd use psychic to cover
It seems odd that Lucario doesn’t have Mega Launcher as an ability, considering Aura Sphere is its (kinda) signature move (and it learns the other Pulse moves too)
Technically, Aura Sphere was never Lucario’s signature move since several other Pokémon (Togekiss, Mewtwo, the Creation trio) also got access to the move in Gen. 4 as well. But I get what you mean, it’s a move we most often associate with Lucario since it was the very first Pokémon shown using Aura Sphere (whether it be the games or in its titular movie back in 2006).

It would be fun to give Lucario an ability inspired by smash bros. Maybe an ability that boosts the power of it's attacks and/or special attack every time it gets hit.
since its a glass cannon, i doubt this ability would be as useful tbh. would be cool if it got some kind of signature ability that works around its aura powers probably, like powering up fighting type moves or something like that
Shill hard for the newest gen, Jimothy, and I'll watch your content regardless. I await the intermittent gen 3 upload. Keep amassing subscribers and pull the wool over their eyes at the last moment as you occasionally talk about Pokémon's peak, gen 3. Godspeed you brilliant, special young man, you.
There are 2 abilities in my opinion that would fit Lucario design-wise and competitively. Iron Fist would give it more power on punching moves like the Ice Punch or Meteor Mash. Tough Claws just boosts it's physical moves in general. You could also give it an Aerilate clone but for Fighting moves which could be called Aurilate or something. I feel like Tough Claws would be used more over Iron Fist unless they buff Iron Fist to 50% power boost ( like it should be ) if they don't give it something like the new ability I mentioned before.

So if you want to run Focus Sash sets, you can get knocked down to 1 HP and then start sweeping with x1.5 or x2 attack and special attack
Interesting fact I actually made some pretty solid success with Lucario in Gen 9 OU a while ago because I used it to help me deal with Chien Pao by switching into both its S.T.A.B. moves (especially switching into Crunch to activate Justified) and then outspeeding it’s Ice Shard with Extremespeed and OHKOing it.
