If you live in the salt belt make sure you pull the tire down occasionally and spray the mechanism with Fluid Film to prevent them for rusting and sticking
Thank you very much for this. I have a '22 Pro4X, and I will make sure all the tools are there. Also, a good idea to check the pressure in the spare at a minimum of yearly!!!
Dropped the spare on my truck when I had a flat. The spare did not have enough air pressure to drive. Thankfully a good person stopped to help. The spare was only 2 years old.
I wish every manufacturer had this idea for their trucks or suvs from every year since instead of just the 2020+ vehicles, definitely comes in handy instead of struggling to remove the wheel from the bottom
Greetings from Australia. Thanks for the reminder on how to do this as it's been years since any of my 4x4s used that system, until just acquiring a 2024 Pro-4X the other day.
Thanks for the great detailed video. My wife just got herself a new 2023 and I hadn't yet gotten around to figuring the spare tire out. Unrelated question - are you able to tell me who you got your add on stickers from for the inlayed Frontier on the tailgate?
I got them off etsy. I believe most of them are made from the same place and just sold through different names. Just make sure to look for the 3d or raised letters. If not it will just be the flat vinyl.
For your information, you are talking about the four-door Nissan. I have a 2022 Frontier King cab, and the tire-changing kit is behind the front seats on the rear bed. I took out those stupid jump seats, which gave me plenty of room for groceries and other items.
Now I know to later get a 5th OEM rim for the spare for my soon to be mine Frontier, thanks for the quick guide 🙂 also its always best carry a "cross" lug nut breaker if you live in a very hot and humid area like I do in deep South Texas that can make those lug nuts a nightmare. Especially if you need to put your foot and body weight and the L shape ones will wear out like it did to my Sentra.
You mentioned you secured the chain under the spare as it hangs down. How did you do this successfully without it falling through the spare holes again?
I kinda wrapped the chain into itself then tightened the mechanism as much as it would go. The bracket on the end squished the chain up and tight enough it doesn't fall back down
Thanks you. It would be past the tailgate but the rod would hit the tailgate before it's able to lay flat since the opening is so close to the bottom of it.
"In and out, until you find the sweet spot".... great life lesson!
😂
I got a flat the other day in 10 degree weather. Your video was very useful! Thanks!

Yes. Every time I get my tires rotated I ask them to check the air pressure on the spare.

This fellow knows how to make a video!

My 2004 Ram has this system
My 2002 Trailblazer had this system too
My 2009 Silverado has this system
This works exactly the same as it did on my 2004 Frontier.
Great videos! Learned alot. Just picked up a boulder grey pro 4x. So happy with it.
I have a 2013 Nissan Titan.. This is exactly the same in the 2006-2015 Titans! Nice Nissan Frontier !
Thanks. It good to see so many vehicles have the option like this.

@@BelloBudo007 congrats on the new truck
Very helpful. It might be nice to invest in a bank of lights, or perhaps just a small LumeCube type light to help a little with the shadows.
They got the same mechanism on my 92 Nissan hardbody
This is a great video that will save people a lot of aggravation. Thank you so much 😊
Thanks for watching

@@CanadianCruisin Got the same ones off of eBay, but the orange outline on mine is reflective, and so are the ones for the front.
Very helpful. Thanks!
Good tips.😎

@@Fudgieguys i didn't even think of the king cab. Thanks for the info
Finally got a chance to watch bro … hopefully it does well for the channel
Thumbnail is on point 💪

Great explanation
Can you turn the spare over to store it with the inflation valve down so you can check the air pressure without lowering the spare?
YES
Canadian Cruising: I have the same truck and color as yours. Where did you get the Frontier lettering for the tail gate. I love the look!
It came from etsy.
Great informative video. Thanks!
Thanks for the tips- preciate ya
Thanks for watching
Thanks for the info!!!
Nice Vid. Do your new tire/wheel fit or are sticking with the original spare?
I'm not sure if they fit or not. It's on my list of things to check haha. Right now I have no spare
My 2004 Frontier has the same set up, it hasn't changed. Good luck if you have a flat at night, that slot isn't easy to find.
Luckily with the lift I can just look under and see it haha
You mentioned you secured the chain under the spare as it hangs down. How did you do this successfully without it falling through the spare holes again?
I kinda wrapped the chain into itself then tightened the mechanism as much as it would go. The bracket on the end squished the chain up and tight enough it doesn't fall back down
Would the extra rod extend it past the tailgate if you had it down? Good vid again.
Thanks you. It would be past the tailgate but the rod would hit the tailgate before it's able to lay flat since the opening is so close to the bottom of it.
It's exactly like it was on my 92 hardbody.
That is a nice truck . I got a white one😊
Thanks..
Preciate you
Really need to learn about lighting if continuing to make videos.
Having a bad day? Commenting negative on all the videos. Do better 👍
Can't see underneath. Too dark.
Thanks for the vid, but next time film in daylight. The video is too dark in the garage.
I got some new leds going in today 😊
My girl keeps saying the same thing. In and out until you find the sweet spot and get my finger in there if i need to
😂
This that bs
