Unbelievable amount of money for an Epiphone

Standard epi 335 $600 US, hard shell case $130, pair or burst bucker pickups $300, upgraded wiring $75-100, plus artist premium/royalty for name attached $150-200. All in all let’s say $1,150-1,200. And we’re paying $1,299 for this guitar. No I don’t think $1,299 is unreasonable for what we’re getting. If this were a standard Epiphone 335 this would be unreasonable but it’s not a standard epiphone 335. It’s had several upgrades
Maybe look up the specs and hardware before making stupid comments.
@@BrutusLongfellow the specs and hardware are extremely middling for a guitar that costs more than, for example, a used Gibson SG Standard.
It’s maple/poplar/maple-just like the Gibson version.

Over a grand for a very average sounding Epiphone. Seriously? You'd have to be a right mug to pay that much money for this guitar.
Know what you mean - only exception I give is that it has USA burstbuckers so that will be a few hundred so it’s really a sub-£1k with a hard case - agree it’s still too much for a China (?) made guitar though
@@lewismcnicholas2631yea thats point it made in usa it 5x more, when it come to china, and asian imports in general the standard has improved, also it cheaper then least 3 other epiphone signature guitars/Epiphone firebirds so it not even most priced epiphone i get the "epiphones getting more expensive.." thank gibson you know them £1700 range usa gibson standards/SG/les paul studios etc? I been informed late last year, in a year or so they wont exist anymore ALL usa built gibson will be 2k plus as INDUSTRY STANDARD and epiphones are to fill the "erm Budget friendly 😅" area, so high end epiphones be £1200 to £1800 is gibson plan epiphones in this range moving forward, these china guitars not going anywhere
I thought the same thing but in today's market it's about right for 100% Gibson hardware+electronics that also carries an artist's name - where they failed is the color is wrong 😳🤦♂️

That’s not the point, you buy a Pelham blue 335 DG sig for a reason, not because it’s the best bang for the buck… guitars like motorcycles are subjective. You buy what stirs the soul
