Some of the older trucks had the Def tank on the passenger side so they have to go through the fuel island backwards.
I have seen guys do it to air up a tire also.
Yeah for some unknown reason the 2013 peterbuilts were on the passenger side lol
Wiley Sanders trucks with the coffin sleeper mostly have def tank on right side. It is a pain.
Our brand new KWs have them on the passenger side.

I don’t understand the sitting in your truck watching a bonehead tear up someone else’s truck. I would want somebody to get out and say something before mine was tore up.
They'd rather make a video trying to be cool, calling other people names instead of actually helping someone. Ike has done well making a huge channel but the drawback is all the assholes come out of the woodwork with a smartphone.... trucking has changed..and not for the better.

@@mays9185 it's like that on foreign box trucks. Drove one for a few months delivering plumbing supplies and it was on the passenger side.
Some DEF tanks are driver's side, some are on the passenger side and a few are under the hood for filling.
Remebe guys!!!! When parking in crowded truck stops always blind side back in, and never I mean NEVER get out and look. 😮

I know there are professional truckers all over the US right now who would never make it on Bonehead Truckers. I feel for you guys, not only putting up with us 4 wheelers, who are always going somewhere more important than the rest of us, but putting up with these yahoos driving a big rig. Just know we appreciate all you real truckers.

The first one could be because his DEF tank is on the passenger side. I've seen trucks like that. I always give a driver the benefit of a doubt because everyone else thinks we're all dummies
Exactly. My DEF tank is on the wrong side and there are times going through backward is neccessary. Could'nt tell on this one, but not the end of the world like the filmer is trying to portray. He is a sad little man with nothing better to do.

I drove a 2022 peterbuilt day cab and the def tank was on the passenger side next to the cab and the def hose aint long enough to reach so I had pull in the wrong way to fill it at the fuel island that maybe what that fella was up to the rest of them r just bn stooopid big twime trwuk driwers... thanx for the vid have a good Easter Sunday

The reason for nose in parking is to have privacy. But I only do it when I can back straight out.
Also prevent Swift from hitting your tractor when you're sleeping.
I had a 2012 KW T660, the DEF tank was on the right side of truck. I had to pull in the wrong way to fill the DEF.
Pete's and kenworth it's a $1000 option to put it on drivers side

ever since I started my own trucking business, I don't even fuel, get food or even visit the big-name truck stops, I go to mid-tier, low-tier & no name mom & pop truck stops

@ChumleyChumchizer A lot of them are on state highways. Before Interstates got popular and became the main source of transportation that's where trucks went. The ones that have managed to stay afloat anyway.
Pepe's Towing had a great rescue of a Bonehead who drove over a mile behind industrial buildings next to a RR track. Never ending stories from truck stops, this site will continue forever.
So the last clip, the guy recording was the actual bonehead. He was just go watch and was hoping that guy hit another driver. Screw you man!

During CDL school, we took a lunch at a Dennys inside a truck stop. (I brought my lunch with, so I sat outside at a picnic table)
I saw a trucker park his doubles in a spot, disconnect, bobtail to the spot beside the island (no pump) just so that he was parked AS CLOSE TO THE STORE AS POSSIBLE. 30 mins later, he got back in his truck, hooked back up, and left.
His trailers were literally 60 yards away from the store, I guess that was just TOO far away.
Was he one of them big boys?
Sounds like he worked way harder just to park closer to the store than if he had just gotten out and walked a few yards. God forbid!

Though I would never pull into a space forward, I don't see anything wrong with the last clip. The driver backed out of the space without causing any damage. Kudos to him.
To be fair, there's only one type of driver I've ever seen with a legitimate reason to pull into a slot nose-first: auto haulers. I can see why, too: if they back into a slot while loaded then (1) they run the risk of backing into a truck behind them, damaging both the truck they ran into AND the car hanging off the end; and (2) the truck that backs into the space behind them may misjudge the distance between his own rig nd the car on the back of the trailer.
I've parked at a few "pin ball" yards over the years, you know, where you can see them hitting each other as you are pulling in.
In those cases, I've nosed in, so if they tagged me, it would be my trailer and NOT my tractor!

So true Jim Lee. I am an autohauler and we are over 90 feet long, so the majority of the time when you see us at truck stops sometimes we have to take up 2 spots, but If I'm parking at a truck stop which I rarely do, I try to fine spots with the single spaces

Why don't they just use bottled DEF?

That must make for one serious inconvenience if you have to do that every time you need fuel. What if the truck stop is busy? Guess you could get in line ass backwards and back up to the pump when it’s your turn. 🤷🏻♂️
@@MikeDCWeld because bottled DEF is many times more expensive than DEF at the pump. Up until recently, I drove a 2013 Peterbilt 389 Heavy Haul Truck, and I often had to pull in from the wrong direction to be able to get DEF. At the time, PACCAR tried to set the standard as to where the DEF tanks would be located. However the Fueling industry laughed at them and refused to play along.
DEF at the Pump average: $4.20 per Gallon
DEF in the box Average: $18.99 per 2.3 Gallons
Hope that helps you to see why.
It only took 1 time of pulling straight into a parking spot and having to spend 20 minutes trying to back out of it like the guy in the last clip to learn not to do that again

Drove for 4 companies in 13 years, 3 out of the 4 were ltl terminals with their own fuel pumps, which was super convienient in avoiding some of those cluster f'd chaotic truck stops. I hadn't set foot on a truck stop since I drove OTR starting out in 2006.
Im so glad im retired from trucking the driver of today have no respect for themselves much less for anyone else its really sad
I think that's most Americans in general. See it in the way they drive wether it's a Pete or a Prius.

DEF boxes will not fit in the trash can. If they do, the can gets filled and now there is other trash on the ground. There was probably a dumpster the driver could've taken these boxes.

So let me introduce myself I'm a former bodybuilder and trucker I stopped driving otr in June of 2020 due to bodybuilding injuries and after 17yrs of driving my body couldn't take it anymore, surgery after surgery has ended both careers. So now I work at a flying j state I'll keep silent city as well. Someone actually told me about this channel and boy do I have some banger material I'll be sharing with you guys video and some yeah I'm in the perfect position not that I didn't experience dumb drivers in my 17yrs of driving but getting a front row view of the nasty , wreck less self centered entitled bs. That many truckers are infected by .. we put up no parking signs and yellow sprayed no parking only for them to park there but only to run in and get a scale ticket or whatever while they block everyone else and I got videos of piss bottles like gallons being thrown out , u name we got all in video stay tuned boys and girls. In the first clip, he was likely pulled in the wrong way because some trucks come with the def tank on the passenger side of the truck and all truck stops have the fill nozzle on the driver's side.

To the Karen all upset at a guy parking in a "no parking" zone. There is no better way to tell me that you have only been driving about 15 minutes than to act so affronted because a truck parked in a "no parking zone".
After 30 years of driving, I cannot tell you how many times I have done this. Sometimes, there is literally nowhere else to park, and sometimes it just makes more sense to do so, take care of your business and be on your way.

I have definitely pulled into the pump the wrong way like in the first clip. Many times. When other bone heads have them blocked because they went inside and there was a bobtail fueling they pulled behind and got out. Just pull around the other way and then you can look at him when he gets back.

The Wiley Sanders in backward might have a Def tank on the passenger side. No Def available except on driver side. I had a Kenworth like that. Pain in the fkn ass.

Wiley Sanders def tank is on passengers side, that's why he xame in fuel island that way. When Def was new, in the beginning, they were putting Def tanks on the passenger side. You see this every once in a while.

1. I wish I had a lot of money to purchase like 10 of each size for Swing Wide It’s a Friggin Trailer t-shirts to hand out to Swift drivers at truck stops.
2. I would rather see empty DEF boxes on the ground than piss bottles. Plus not all truck stops empty or check the trash cans unless it’s absolutely necessary.

All these fuel lines video reporters do is helping starting fights at truck stops.
Drivers take their 30 minutes break, while fueling, pissing, grabbing an invoice at the kiosk, buying some coffee, buying a well deserved meal (cheeseburger), cleaning the windows with the squeegee and going for a # 2 dump. Can they do it quicker ? 30 min. seeems reasonable if they wait a bit, FUEL, then move forward for the next guy: all this during the 30 min break ! Now if some cranky bozo pushes in the back to rush to do the exact same things in 5 minutes, while running everywhere filming everyone at fault, well... Good for this Bonehead !
