In my school a seminar was organised to educate girls how shoul they dress , behave and sit with boys . When we returned to class and I asked some boys that did they have any seminar . And they said no .
At that point I understand the hypocrisy of this society which always teach girl but never teach boys.

I am a well educated girl. I was born and brought up in India. Despite of being "well educated", I used to think it is a cultural difference between west and east. Indian men are not trying to harm women and it is the way they express their love. I watched a few Hollywood movies and songs, and I used to justify see even there men grope women. But, then I had the opportunity to work in UK for 1.5 years. I felt so ashamed of what I used to think. Men treat women with so much respect there (by respect I don't mean just smiling and offering seats and opening doors ). The western culture values a women's opinion, praises and promotes them for their work, gives them opportunities to grow mentally, make them independent and above all allows them to take pride in who they are. Women all over the world are struggling, even in West women are subjected to gender discrimination. But, I realised in India people are not even aware when and how they are discriminating against women. Actions are dictated by what we think, and we have a long way to go. I hope your video reaches wider audience.

Why the heck no one talks about sexual consent and sexuality of women? No one teaches people not even women themselves that they have a choice to say yes or no. And women's sexuality has been ignored literally forever except in porn movies. Or else every other women is declared as slut if she expresses herself in any way sexually. There's a rape allegation currently rocking the whole Australian Parliament. And many cases don't come to limelight like in India, so don't idealize any country. One good thing about India is that, everything gets sensationalized, information spreads like Wildfire, people come to roads, protests picks up, whole world gives attention to India, though we get villified, All Indian men get termed as predetors, but still people speak up, that's a healthy trait for a progressive society, though still we're far away from destination. I am really blessed to have a family where I am treated like a princess even after having a younger brother. Actually, my Baba loves me a little bit more than my brother even ( Because I am the Eldest) and Ma treats both of us equally. I really wish everyone gets a family like mine where there is no discrimination on the basis of gender. I never understood in my childhood that in most parts of India girls are given less preference. In our family nobody talks of a girls marriage instead talks of higher education and to fulfill one's dream. Even my parents don't boast of treating me equally rather takes it very naturally.
