I worked with Simon McCorkindale in Casualty around 2003 to 2004. He was a charming and a genuinely nice man. Ever the proffessional and so talented. RIP Simon. So sad to hear the news.
Bonjour et merci pour cette vidéo. Ah...
Sadly Simon MacCorkindale had less than two years to live when he gave this interview. He was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2006, had emergency surgery to remove a section of his bowel, and was told he had gone into remission. Sadly doctors found the cancer had metastasised to his lungs the following year, 2007. Despite being told his prognosis was around five years, he kept working and did not announce his cancer was terminal until a year after this TV interview, in November 2009. He died aged 58 on 14 October 2010 at a London clinic, with his wife Susan George at his side. A short life, but one in which he enjoyed success in a very competitive career, and found the love of his life.
A real gem of a person. Wish I had met him. I am astounded that there aren't more video interviews of Simon, I couldn't find much and often I come back to this video.
Susan George never remarried. He was the love of her life. I'm glad they got to know each other. I hope they will be reunited one day. Simon, my favorite..."Falcon's Gold." I think every girl wanted to marry him. You were beautiful. You are missed. A very fine actor.
I read that his cancer was terminal ages ago, but only just today found out that he had died. So saddened :( i watched him in theatre in cheltenham a few years ago and he was a great actor, lovely genuine guy and will be greatly missed. RIP xxx
What a man!!! I saw him last weekend in Sound of Music very very fantastic. I hope he will do more theater then I´ll try to see it and fly to UK!! I loved him at Manimal I saw it there for the first time. He`s so cute!!!
Just herd of the sad death of simon macCorkindale on thursday night,i remember him in mannimal as a kid and jesus of nazereth, and of coruse casualty.i did not now he had been ill, very sad god bless simon R.I.P.
R I P mr mccorkindale , your handsome looks, grace and charm, flavoured with your stella acting graced our screens and touched our hearts god bless your family with strength at these difficult times.
Simon MacCorkindale was and is fine and good actor, handsome man with wonderful and hot voice. I'm so sad that Simon is not in this world with us anymore.
Just to think when this aired he had bowel cancer and not many people knew, also just two years after this aired he tragically passed away for me he was one of the biggest characters in the history of casualty, behind charlie and duffy, no doubt he if didnt die they would of bought harry harper back to casualty, RIP
Gosh I wish he would remake Manimal, it would be better appreciated in these times, providing they mature it a little bit with somewhat darker edge to the stories.
I'll always remember him from Manimal and Counterstrike. The character he played on Counterstrike was a lot like James Bond which makes me wonder why he never got the chance to play 007. He would have been a lot better than Timothy Dalton IMO.
@pf126p I meant the premise was promising, but the stories and presentation were cheesy. They need to remake it with some level of maturity. That's all.

RIP dear Simon, we'll never forget Harry Harper.
Just to think when this aired he had bowel cancer and not many people knew, also just two years after this aired he tragically passed away for me he was one of the biggest characters in the history of casualty, behind charlie and duffy, no doubt he if didnt die they would of bought harry harper back to casualty, RIP
Rip Simon - he played the part of Harry amazingly brilliant for 6 years.
He's so nice. I wish he would have talked bit more about Manimal, that's the first time I saw him on tv.
I'm a fan of all the 80's soaps, including Falcon Crest.

He would have been an incredible James Bond!
@@roberthill3045 Aye, have been...
sensy 01 Shame he's dead now
He definitely could have pulled it off back in the day. Wish he was still with us too.
My thoughts exactly! Ditto!
0:57 what's with the sarcastic round of applause from Dr Adam Trueman?
Gosh I wish he would remake Manimal, it would be better appreciated in these times, providing they mature it a little bit with somewhat darker edge to the stories.
RIP Simon MacCorkindale
@voon100 Never knew that film. He was Death on the Nile and Jaws 3, I remember him from. He'll be missed.

RIP Simon.
Yes, he was involved with Jordan Roberts during the abuse storyline.
just red about his death. Very sad especially as he didn't even smoke
The Last Guitar Hero
He died primarily of bowel cancer which spread to his lungs. Smoking didn't kill him.
i dont think this was in 2008
For some reason I’ve always thought he was Australian
RIP
RIP :'(
Bye bye, Si.
Johnathan Chase!R.I.P

Everyone outside the UK did since Falcon Crest.
Farewell Manimal...
