- I attempted a playthrough of Pokemon Emerald using only TMs and HMs! To make things much more challenging, I added some rules:
1. Use level caps for major fights.
2. No items in battle.
3. Only catch 10 TOTAL Pokemon.
4. No broken Pokemon (e.g., Shedinja, Gyarados)
5. Play on Set Mode.
6. Team size must match opponent.
7. No using Surf in Battle.
(This is not a Nuzlocke, so Pokemon can faint and be used again.)

When I was a kid, I thought TM stood for "Teachable Move" and HM stood for "Helpful Move". I had no idea what "Technical Machines" or "Hidden Machines" (and their respective "Hidden Moves") were referring to.

This was absolutely fantastic! The music, the puns, and the challenge idea all made my day. It's not a pun, but I always name my Obstagoon after Pat Benatar when I play Sword/Shield!
My obstagoon is named KISS, male toxtricity is Slash female toxtricity is Ember (from Danny Phantom) and my Shiny Rillaboom is Travis (Barker)

7:25 Actually, Hyenas are felines. Whoever was designing these Pokemon got it wrong.
I usually use what I call my "Jojo Adjacent" naming scheme. When I got into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, I started naming my pokemon after characters, but I started running out of names. Since a lot of names in Jojo are music references, I started looking up songs related to the theme of my run and using the name of the band.

Personally, I would have picked Swampert as my 1st "signed artist" in this playthrough. my final moveset would've been > 1. Water pulse; 2. Ice beam; 3. Brick break; and 4. Earthquake
That's my typical starter and my favorite moves to have on it! Sceptile is a great pokemon but has such a difficult time with a good/flexible moveset during the mid-game in Gen-3!!
