Lynx gas grills are on the most expensive grills on the market today. The question is, are they worth the extra money or not? I have always gone back and forth on if its worth the kind of money that lynx tries to charge. Which is a pretty crazy dollar amount for a gas grill. I mean you can buy a car for this price! Of course when you look at the grill, its obvious that it is expensive, and its an absolutely beautiful grill and will look amazing in your outdoor kitchen. and the materials used in the grill are of the highest standard here. So you are definitely getting a premium product. The question is, even though it looks nice is it worth double the price? Some other brands like Blaze, Napoleon, and Weber make some pretty outstanding grills that are honestly going to cook about the same quality. So the question I ask myself when looking at grills that cost this much money. Is does the grill improve my cooking experience? If the answer is no, to me its not worth the extra money. Lets look at what's under the hood in the lynx to determine if it is in fact worth the money or not. So Rotisserie kit, interior lighting and solid 304 stainless cooking grates make up nice features in this grill. However lets get to the meat of this grill to see what really sets it apart. And that is going to be the burners. There are multiple ways to configure this grill, with either a standard burner with ceramic briquettes or all trident infrared. To me there really is no option here. Go with the infrared every time! The reason why, is in my opinion the ceramic creates grease fires, and they do not work very well. And usually the problem with infrared is it simply gets too hot. So this is where Lynx is super unique. Its unique in the sense that they are the only company that offers infrared technology that doest get too hot. The grill can turn down all the way to 300 degrees. This really makes it a no brainer. So in my opinion if you go with the all infrared its worth the extra money. As long as you have money to burn and you want the very best. Go with a lynx. Hope this video helps you make a decision.

How deep does that countertop end up being in order for the grill not hitting the wall? More than 24”?

Would like to know more about the trident burners. Are they as durable as the cast iron burners or the ceramic? What about maintenance?

Under what circumstances would one opt for a ceramic burner versus an infrared burner?

How it works if you have something on rotisserie, and fat is dripping over Trident infrared burner that is Off, and cold? Wouldn't Trident burner get clogged? As main advice for them in Instructions is not to put food on grates until they are properly working as they would get clogged ..?

not really, they are solid ceramic. so that shouldn't be an issue

Embers Fireplaces & Outdoor Living great, thx for you comment
Since they offer different burner configurations, all ceramic, all trident and 2+1, is there any reason not to go All Trident?

Will the trident burners last15-20 years like the ceramic burners in your opinion? That is my only hesitation to go all trident.

@@embersliving Follow up - all trident vs all ceramic - I'm not into flare ups and uneven cooking - you still recommend the all trident 1000%? I would be happy if there are only slight flareups, and slight uneven cooking.

Absolutely not. Received a new Lynx in November 2019 that did not work from day one. Customer service was horrible! All they wanted to do was place blame anywhere but on Lynx. After 3 months of jumping through hoops for Lynx, it ended up being a quality control issue on their part. Not worth it!!! By the way, my all infrared Lynx grill gets to a whopping 575 degrees on a 60 degree weather day. Less than half the 1200 degrees this guy mentions. What a joke! Don’t believe the hype.
