quick level up: metal king slimes for training my team. minimum requirements for mid to high leveled legacy boss: get your team all around lvl 70+. must have 2 damage dealers, 1 supporter and 1 healer (priest is the best). must carry an armamentalist's album, put 100 points into shield in order to get omnishield master so whole team can equip the shields. carry yggdrasil leafs for revival, support the main damage dealer which means if gladiator dies you MUST revive him on the next turn.
I bet during that battle, Estark was saying to himself: "Why can't I kill this little bastard?!" Amazing job, by the way. I can't even defeat Baramos, Level 1. xD
@TatsujaTakamotsu k, for alchemiracle purpose, you can pin point either the red or blue box(table). one table BEFORE the red or blue. search the matching table (make sure go for the green seeds), if you used heal 4 times, and if your target table is No7, 4 plus (7-1) 6=10. therefore, you need to heal 10 more times. Then use the krak pot. It will be 100% alchemiracle. and don't carry the "thief's theory" or any revocational medal or any other medal. Wearing these items results in bad reading.
thank you. here is the quick way to level up: hunt metal slimes/liquid metal slimes. metal slime family are great for level grinding. if you are playing the post game, grind at the Tower of Nod, you can find the metal king slimes ( just look for the killing machines, MKS appears with them). keep in mind that the stronger types that give more experience are also more rare, so you may not see too many of them over a period of time.
@TatsujaTakamotsu thanks! lololz, the hoimi table is 100%. it's magical. i couldn't help it, because i had been wasting AOEs and orbs. i couldn't shake off the little devil on my shoulder so i gave way to the temptation xD i probably couldn't make it without the dire critical fan against estark lv99. because i did the exact same challenge with over critical fan and failed. so, yeah, i love the fan!!!

also malroth is weak to wind, use gale force. he uses breath attack a lot so use Reverse Cycle to blow back malroth' breath attacks. if you bring a paladin, Knight's Watch helps a lot too. good luck
I wish you could put in monsters from DQMJ2 into DQ IX for your character to fight. i'd have one hell of a time fighting that king metal slime I had with about 230 hp XD
The guy who said uber falcon blade does more damage..well your wrong it simply cuts the damage in half the hyper nova sword can sap an enemy making it easier to deal damage etc but yeah I prefer the über falcon blade

it all depends. it randomly comes, for me mostly after critical hits. + dire critical fan + combat action medal helps as well.
hypernova sword's special effect: chance to sap (weaken) a target.

agree. disruptive wave is the most annoying action in this game. as u can see, only the Knight Watch blocks everything including disruptive wave.
