Vettel and Hamilton achieved this earlier. Lewis had the second/third-fastest car from 2008-2013 (when he achieved this), just like Max from 2016-2020. Probably Lewis had the fastest car only in 2007.

hamilton had the help of mclaren which was a championship winning car and vettel had the redbull which was also a dominating car max hasnt had that except maybe this year (btw I checked vettel wouldve achieved it in the 6th race of 2013 so that most of the rb era)

Can't think of a better performance the last 8 years or so by any driver. There are some freak results but those are mostly down to luck. Verstappen in brazil did everything on merit

For reference, Alain Prost reached 50 podiums at age 32, Schumacher at 28, Hamilton at 28, Vettel at 25, and Räikkönen at 28. Max is only 23.

Difference is that they were already world champions by the time they reached 50 podiums, while Max still need to get his first championship. Still quite unbelievable Verstappen reached this milestone at the age of 23.

@@Danielskuse Red Bull wasn’t a top 2-3 car when Ferrari was still performing. And top 1-2 was always Mercedes so even then it wasn’t easy. Drivers like Verstappen, Lando and Hamilton outperform their car (gap to team mate)

It's hard to imagine how fast he shot from the 33rd podium "mechanic miracle" to 50th so quickly. This past year has been phenomenal.
Since 2020 with the exception of Istanbul, Monza, Mugello, Imola, Sakhir in 2020 & Baku this season (I hope I didn't forget any),, Max has finished on podium every single race

The impact that Max has already made in F1 as a sport should not be underestimated. He literally made the FIA change the rulebook. And it is because of his success that a whole new generation has been given a chance to flourish in F1, even within top teams like Ferrari.

The excellent attacks and defense on Lewis, the superb race restarts, the fastest pit stop world record. So many things were great about that race and they decided not to include that. I'm genuinely surprised.

It was pretty obvious from the very beginning. He has a star with him, he is a star and we are so lucky that we are about to witness much more greatness from him. My personal favorite driver. Only 5 drivers (Prost, Schumacher, Hamilton, Vettel and Räikkönen) have reached 100 podiums in F1. Will Max be the next driver to reach 100 podiums? With him only being 23 I think it is very likely. Unless the universe gives him the Alonso treatment. Seriously, Fernando has been 3 podiums off the magic number of 100 since 2014!

Since the start of 2020 season, apart from DNFs, he hasn't finished outside of the top 3 except Turkey 2020. That's pretty great if you ask me

@@QurttoRco i disagree, as it was pouring cats and dogs, and max went on the outside ( which is in normal conditions already a risky move ), and made it stick by showing 0 fear whatsoever. Just foot on the gass and pray there is enough grip which there was. 100% rosberg didnt even saw him coming.

This equates to being on the podium for every race over more than 2 full seasons. AT 23 YEARS OF AGE. Insane.
Random fun fact:
Max would have been tied most consecutive wins with Lewis (5) had he of not DNF'd in Baku meaning he would've been 4 off the all time record, at just 23 years old. He sits at 3 so still possible.
Edit: Turns out not many people can read, I'm saying he would've been 4 off the record being 9 (5+4 =9) never said he'd break it just saying he would've been close.

@@reallifehack4790 Of the last 7 races, Max has won every single one where he didn't get a tire puncture or he wasn't crashed into, he will take the title just watch. Mercedes can't keep crashing into him every weekend for all 12 of the remaining races.
If everything goes well for him in the future and RB stays competitive, he will shatter whatever podium record Hamilton ends up setting
Doubt red bull will make a competitive car in the up coming years, with Honda leaving and the regulations changing next year, anything could happen. Hamilton set a record too big.

The car was too close to the ground because of the wrong temperatures of the tires because of the safety car, resulting in the crash.
