I soo love your tutorials because i have barely any eye sight left so i can listen and crochet along. Then when i blow the picture up and compare I'm usually dead on. Every now and then 1 or 2 might be off in the whole row. Last week i convinced my 10 yr old granddaughter she could mosaic with your help. She started with your heart pattern and nailed it. Don't stop making videos
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘💙 thank you so much!!!!! I don't even have words for how wonderful you have made me feel. It means the world to me that you and your granddaughter can both follow along with me. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for sharing this with me, you are truly an inspiration and exactly who i hoped i could reach doing these videos 💙
@@FiberFoxStudios do you have a video that can talk me through how to do mosaic in the round? Having a hard time understand it. Do i still start and stop on each row? I'm at the stage where the Dr tell your family it's time to make while she can still remember. So i want to make my oldest 2 grandkids backpack in mosaic stitch. You help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
I have a diamond and a Greek key tutorial, both in the round that you may find helpful, here is the playlist that had those videos, the first 2 are the tutorials ruclips.net/p/PLU_G451k47sG6ko8GpuOzSGO2cbFAQVFc You are joining the round with a slip stitch rather than stopping, binding off and clipping yarn. When you slip stitch you are changing your color using the new color to pull up the loop that will start the next row/round and we carry our yarn up. If these videos do no explain it well enough so you can get the concept please let me know so I can film something that will help you and answer any questions you still have. 😊 once you understand how to work in the round you can use any of the designs to make the backpacks. Leave me a comment on either one of the in the round tutorials and let me know if it helped or what questions you still have. I'll get a video out for you next week if needed. 😘😘😘
@@FiberFoxStudios ok I'll listen to them today. Thanks so much for responding back and all your help. The grandkids are turned up, their doing the happy dance saying Grannie you got this. Enjoy your weekend
Thank you!! 😘😘😘😘 42 times a day ..I don't even hear it unless I'm filming 😅😅 I try to pause to not have it through the entire video but the train wins the battle at least once per pattern 🤣🤣🤣
Aweeee I'm so happy they love the gift you made!!!! That is such an amazing feeling and I am so honored you chose one of my patterns for it ❤️ Thank you so much and thank you for coming bsck to share this with me. I really appreciate it!
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO. I JUST FOUND YOUR U TUBE AND I LOVE IT ! I do not know of anybody else that contributes as much to Mosaic as you do. Thank you again for all the great patterns. Pat E.
YAY!!! Another Mosaic Monday! This pattern is sooo beautiful Courtney! I like the look of the solid butterflies. Looking forward to the next half butterflies, so we can combine the two. Have a wonderful week. Thanks for the pattern. Margie
Hey Court I'm trying my hand for a 3rd time at this mosiac crochet. I swooney it makes my head bust but I can't stand the thoughts of something whooping me, and this is how I feel. I only got 1 color of #4 weight yarn. That pink you gave me. The Anniversary cake that is gigantic is a bulky 5 or 6 one. I'm trying to get some yarn if you have scraps that I can use rip out and practice again the same pattern, I would appreciate a few scraps no longer than 200 yds, just fun-ing you. Less than 70 yds would be so helpful. I tried with a sport wt and had a mess of 🪢 knots worse than a boy scout on crack! Ok enjoy what ever you & Charlie Baby gonna do this weekend. Peace ✌️ Out, char
Little advice for those doing this pattern. Count your stitches at the end of row 26. You should have 169 single crochets (this is the stitch count for the throw blanket only). That DON'T include the 2 regular sc at either end of the rows. Plus for any beginners: place a stitch marker at the end of the first stitches(before you start the repeat). It works great for references. 😊 Btw, I LOVE THIS PATTERN!!!
Awe thank you so much! I dont have a cat design but I do know of one, Rosina Plane (Rosina Crochets) has a super cute paid pattern featuring cats in Mosaic Crochet. You can fine her on Ravelry im pretty sure. Maybe Etsy too.
Hi Courtney i want to try mosaic how do i slow it down and what size hook are you using for this video 📹 i want to know and i want to try different things with crochet and what yarn do you used with your mosaic project
Hi!!! The hook info is down in the description box, along with yarn info, what size hook to use with the different size yarns. There are 3 dots on screen when you are watching the video. You tap the dots and an option menu will pop up. Playback speed is what you will select and you can choose the speed faster or slower. If you are on a desktop/laptop you may need to click show more instead of the dots I'm describing. Hope this helps and I hope you enjoy working your first mosaic!!
@Fiber Fox Studios Is the Sc count for row 1 suppose to be 51? I keep having issues with row 2 and 3 not turning out. I think it is my count. I am just doing a starting chain of 52 like yours. I am making blocks then will stitch them together. Just need to know the SC count for the first and second row. Thank you so much. I absolutely love this pattern.
Yes 51 working stitches at the end of Row 1 is correct for a 2 repeat swatch like mine. The most likely issue is you may be skipping stitches is you are coming up short on the repeat on row 3. If you are ending and having extra stitches at your row end then you are likely are placing a dc and sc or 2 dc into the same front loop of the same stitch. Either will throw you off. Check behind each dc to make sure it takes up only 1 stitch on row 3. Hope this helps you, if not please let me know more detail on your issue and I will help you figure it out! 😊 😘😘and thank you so much!! 💙💓 we can get you on track!
Where are you at to have trains come through? Growing up we lived right in front of the tracks and it used to shake the trailer we lived in but they are non existent now they have even removed the tracks in most places.
I'm in the deep south, they run through constantly out here in the Okefenokee Swamp where i live. Because it's all sloping prehistoric ocean floor thats covered in wetlands and woods and soooooooo quiet I can hear them like I live right I front of the tracks 🤣🤣 I'm originally from Florida and I actually lived a lot closer to the tracks there but never heard the trains because it was a heavily populated area with lots of buildings and homes between my home and the tracks. Now I'm in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by silence and hear trains 40+ times a day 🤣🤣
You cannot carry your yarn, you do not turn your work in overlay Mosaic so I'm not sure how you could carry the yarn along the side. Inset Mosaic I believe does carry yarn and the design is 2 sided. I believe Marly Bird has some good videos on inset Mosaic. I only have overlay Mosaic. 😁❤

Thank you, I don't have it graphed out in reverse to flip it upside down 🥺
