    HAPPY CRACKMAS!! - This is the festival edit from one of our most popular series.

    I love seeing this series again, especially because Toby has such a great mindset. Sometimes I kinda put people like Toby, a world-class parkour athlete, up on a pedestal because it seems like the stunts he does makes him seem fearless. But it's the exact opposite and it's really humanizing to hear him express how fearful he is on the wall, but despite that he just continues to move, slowly and methodically.

      For a lot of people the word Fear is equated to unable to do something (Frozen with fear)..... but for some people its a tool you can use to focus..... it keeps them alert and in the moment, which is needed in those situations (its actually WHY we experience fear)

      The Storror guys are really good at assessing their stunts and drilling them in safer conditions before going for it. It's confidence, I think, not fearlessness. I think it seems kind of counterintuitive, but I reckon Toby has got to do a lot more improvisation on these climbs than in most of his parkour work.
      Same goes for Pete, of course, in the reverse. He's a seasoned climber so he has a lot of confidence on these walls, but then he's more hesitant in street parkour because he hasn't got the years of confidence building in that environment that Toby has. Even though he and everyone on their teams knows that Pete has the technical competence to do the parkour stunts that he did, it's still new to him.
      Anything and everything they do together is just fascinating.

    Toby is my favorite regular on this channel. I found Storror because of this series and I love them too, and also when Pete goes on their channel to do parkour 🔥

    Tobi is one of the people I look up to most in life
    I’m not the biggest fan of parkour
    It’s just the mindset

    From an editors stand point, i felt the little comments from both the boys now and again, helped to vreate a vibe, that filled in the gaps from the non shown footage. I for one loved this video its delivery and unique story style for story telling

    It's always a special treat when Pete's taking Toby on an adventure. Toby get's even more psyched as the challenges get harder ;) The helmet cameras enhanced the goosebump feeling while watching this great team on the wall. Beautifully filmed, edited with 👌music.

    Its nice to see the difference between tobi and mike (from another video) on the same Route! Reminds you that being a pro athlete at any sport ist more about mastering the mind than the body!

  • @pauljepson1249
    @pauljepson1249 6 месяцев назад +1

    It's hard to get a feel for how hard the routes really are with those head cams fisheyeing. I know the FA got E4; what were the pitch breakdowns UK tech-wise (approx)? Toby looked a bit runout sometimes! But there's runout on 4b and there's runout on 6a... second question- Pete, did you retrospectively feel a bit bad/like you got away with one after seeing some of the footage back, or were you always confident in Toby? If I took someone newish out and sent them off on that traverse, I'd feel a bit sick thinking about what would have happened if they had come off! Call it hypothetical guilt.

    i feel like crack climbers are some of the least arachnophobic people out there, i don't consider myself extremely afraid of spiders but i don't go out sticking my hands in their homes, maybe thats just an Australian thing.
    also out of curiosity can somebody tell me how heavy a belt full of those clamps is. im guessing it changes with the size of a climb but on average how much extra weight are you carrying in gear.
    also big up Toby And Storror,

    Those were large distances between clips. A fall from the top would have been 20-40ft. Pete should have trained him to have more frequent clips. Recklessly unsafe
