    I love these videos so much. Not only do you two have such a brilliant dynamic, with both the desire to teach and to learn. But also god damn the editing is really good. It's nice to have it all so snappy, especially when you're obviously pouring hours and hours in to the climb. Not to say I wouldn't watch it uncut lmao.
    We NEED more Pete parkour, I cannot wait for the 5 day of parkour training honestly. And since I'll be late to the next video because of work. I shall pray now that after it releases we get a storror reaction to all 5 days of training along with Toby's final thoughts.

    1:30 Not even on the wall and doing sketchy things.
    3:00 "40 meter, sort of more wandery pitch [...] a bit of route finding involved, which sometimes is actually the hardest part of these things--picking the easiest way up."
    Nice way to put a positive spin on "Dirty, overgrown, follows no obvious aesthetic feature".
    5:40 This one's for Toby: if you learn the sizes of the cams in relation to your hand, you can test the size of the crack with your hand first instead of pulling pieces off your harness individually. That #2 yellow you said was "Way too big" was probably perfect size for a little lower: the reason I know that is that you were hand jamming, and for most people, hand jam = #2.
    7:10 Noooooo don't grab that horrible bush.
    12:10 Pete: Yes, we do call it the European Death Knot, but that doesn't stop us from trusting our lives to it--I don't think I've actually ever seen anyone connect ropes for rappel any other way.

    • @tobysegar

      @LoveAndClimbing 2 года назад

      @@tobysegar Yeah, it takes some time to learn the jam/color correspondences, and then you climb with someone who has a different rack and the colors are different sizes. 😢
