As someone who started climbing around the same time as you, this channel has been my favorite climbing content by far. Nearly every video has me feeling emotional by the end because of how relatable your struggles and successes are. It's one thing to watch a crusher redpoint their 5.15 project. But it's another thing entirely to watch a fellow moderate climber struggle and push their way through the physical and mental cruxes that I am currently battling as well. The storytelling and editing do a great job of making me feel like im experiencing these climbs with you. Thanks!
I'm also a moderate climber. Sport mostly haven't tried trad yet. But same. Watching Mike's progression is really inspiring to me. I almost feel like a kind of kinship. Like we're all in this progression together.
So excited about the several RUclipsrs who got successful in one niche and then started making climbing videos because they enjoy it. One day it will be mainstream! 🤞
What do you mean? Climbing and especially bouldering have become mainstream already some years ago with gyms and mountains full of people. Somehow cool to get other people on board of this awesome activity. On the other hand I don't like that I'm part of some mainstream thing now.
@@tobimathi2941climbing as a hobby is not as niche as it used to be, but on RUclips climbing is not a very popular category so there is not a whole lot of hi quality content. Other than Magnus Mitbo, not many climbing channels have found the same kind of large following.

Just a heads up that Trad grading does include a number, as well as the letters. And that's what helps you differentiate between a bold but technically easy, and a technically hard but well protected route (VS 4B vs VS 5A).
