Big respect to the big man. This felt very open and honest from Toby, I'd expect nothing less from him.
100% this was incredibly open. loved it
Toby is a type of guy who speaks volumes without talking alot. Lowkey, humble and a mastermind. Never change mate. Cheers.
Toby Segar is one of those athletes that is so influential to me in the sport of parkour that I can sometimes forget that he is human. It has been pretty insightful to see him on the podcast along with this 10 questions vid speaking from such a candid perspective.
What a legend for opening up on that first question. Not an easy thing to do
As someone struggling to give up weed, it was inspiring to hear someone that seems to be so ahead in life also facing the same struggle.
fr, been smoking everyday for years now i get panick attacks everyday and cant even sleep, because i cant even just lay there with my eyes closed, did shrooms a couple weeks ago and was panicking the whole time, time to quit smoking and nicotine frl
like when im not high i want to smoke but when im high i just dont want to be high anymore
@@staza02 I smoked 2g a day for 2 years from July 2019 to June 2021 and the best thing I did for myself was quit cold turkey on the 16th of June 2021 (I’d tried to quit multiple times before but they only lasted a couple days) when I first started smoking I always told myself I wasn’t addicted to it and I’d just keep it as a weekend thing then it very quickly became an every day routine, meet up with the boys and smoke then go home 7 days a week, it turned me into a completely different person instead of chilling me out it made me angry, killed my motivation to do anything and ultimately was the reason for my last relationship and family relationship breaking down, I had to cut off those people I was smoking with in order to take my life down a different path and I wouldn’t change anything now, I hope you can do the same bro it is 100% possible once you get past the first 4/5 days you’ll be fine, I now no longer think about smoking and looking back I can’t believe I used to live my life like that.
@@ross4164 hell yeah bro, we all just chasing a feeling i guess lol, gotta grow up sometime though
Toby is extraordinary human being!
Man...
I relate a bit too much to the "putting walls up" because something else is already 'your thing' and you almost feel like you are not allowed to have something beside that...
Probably a little different still but for me it was to a point where I felt like I would be absolutely completely worthless if I didn't pursue art. Used to be my happy place, something I did just for me. But then people kept telling me and telling me how I had to make something out of it and all that. Felt like it was the only thing I was good for and good at. Whenever something artsy had to be done it was "oh yeah ask Kry she'll do it".
It came to a point where picking up a pencil gave me panic and anxiety so severe that I couldn't even manage a straight line anymore. Because failing scared me so much, disappointing people by not making something 'good enough' was my personal hell and expectations were so god damn high. I had tremors trying to do the simplest lineart, all squiggly and ugly. But going for anything other than art felt impossible. Because I was the art kid of the family right? so what's left if I am not that anymore..? Nothing. That's what it felt like. It still does when I have bad days... but recently I got back into drawing portraits after years of not doing it at all.
Now I allow myself to write. Sometimes sing. But it still comes with this guilty feeling. Am I really allowed to be something more? Should I 'waste' my time on something I am not good at (yet)?
So coming from that background... I say "Fuck yes that IS an achievement, to find something else you love". And allowing yourself to be more than just that one thing. It can be so hard to do that. So big respect. It's a massive achievement and I am so happy for him, that he found climbing.
To all you people reading, i wish you all nothing but the best. I hope you all find your places in life where you can feel happy and at peace.
Just wanted to say I loved reading this comment. I hope you've recovered your joy in art and have been able to branch out and find new things too.
What may seem like anxiety, can become the biggest confidence boost of your life, embrace yourself and your true feelings and it will always guide you to where you want to go. Hah cheesy but I find the cheesiest things to have the most obvious truths.
This right here is unfiltered and pure. I love seeing someone share my perspective on life. Rare to find.
Toby is brilliant! What a legend.
Also thanks for this format, it's so enjoyabale and interesting to get to know the big characters of the Parkour world a little bit better!
Finding climbing is 100% an achivement. I feel the same. Paintball was my sport, everything evolved around it. And then I found climbing a couple years ago and it's not a huge part of me already.
Also, Toby, you're a goddamn inspiration!
Genuinely amazed at how Toby answered the purpose question. Never really thought about it that way... we might not have a purpose, but we can give purpose to our life and surroundings. Amazing POV!
if you look up chimps you realize chimps don't have a purpose either. Evolutionary joke.
You could say the only real reason we're on this planet is to find our own individual purpose...and that in itself is our one true purpose in life. That's the way I've always thought about it anyway
@@deviateedits true!! Its just such a profound question to think about and that comes and goes to me every now and then and somehow my answer always shifts a bit. Nevertheless deep down I believe that there is no reason at all for us being alive. Just happened and thats it lol
Pete whittaker and Toby segar are my biggest inspirations in climbing and parkour. I got goosebumps when Toby said petes his biggest inspiration too
It takes some courage to open up on social media, especially about personal issues. It is always good to share messages of success (re: parkour, business, addiction...). These stories inspire people to reach their own goals. Well done, Toby & Motus!
What he said about weed resonated with me as an ex weed addict!
It’s a horribly addictive and mind altering substance!
Segar is what I’d describe as a quiet genius.
He’s at least 50% of the brains behind the success, promotion and management of Storror!
such an incredible athlete and person
Toby really is just so down to earth, unbelievable...
I think Toby is my fave Storror boy (No disrespect gents!). Amazing to see him so candid.
He's such a sound and open guy you can't help but like him for it
toby one of the absolute realest out there.
This vulnerability and honesty is super moving and inspiring 👍❤️
As a climbing nut it was really cool to hear toby talk about climbing and give credit to Pete. I could watching climbing videos with those two all day.
Legend!
This show is so great and the little extra effort to make it hight quality, the multiple angles the little colored paper, really make it that next level of production value
I had no idea that Toby had a problem with weed, as someone going through the same thing this was good to hear. Thanks Motus.
Thank you Toby for sharing your experience with mj addiction, makes it easier for me to cope with mine as well knowing that someone as rad as Toby struggled with the same thing I am❤
Fully agree that Beau Miles is a real inspiration, surprised you mentioned him!
One of the Parkour greats. Thanks Bob.
really honest and open, and telling that he thinks of others and not his own achievements when it comes to questioning purpose in life. Impressive.
Always loved Toby, never knew he smoked weed, answer to first two questions gave me shivers
Such an inspirational guy, who’s living his life! but this shows how Normal ! Genuine and modest he is , long live Storror!!! and all the cogs in it !!! 🤗
Didn't think id hear Beau Miles name here, holy! I love how open Toby is, its amazing to watch
yeah its terribly sad that theres most likely nothing when we die. But laughing and being with the ones we love, creating more memories and good times is what its all about. Finding a significant other is important but finding friends like the Storror crew to create those absolutely hilarious and fun moments are what life is really about to me. On another note, smoking can make some peoples anxiety even worse, which is the case for me at times. Smoking when youre doing fine in life, and you arent too miserably depressed is okay. but ive found that smoking when youre crippled with depression really only drives you further down that dark path. Toby is one of those guys that i only wish i went to school with and became good pals with
Shows the confidence and integrity of the man that he can answer every question truthfully, including those he has never really considered before.
Toby is an absolute legend One of the all time greats! Can't wait to see you back on Storror we miss you! Ps. Congrats on passing your driving test 👏
Definitely agree Pete Whittaker truly gives 110 percent effort, even if you're not into crack climbing Wideboyz videos are great.
Gotta love Toby
Oh Toby, this made me want to BE ABLE TO GET TO KNOW YOU PERSONALLY, as a friend - and beyond just admiring your athletic abilities.
new to Toby, and the parkour sport but have known of parkour. one day i saw a storror video and have been hooked on anything this amazing human is involved in. a true professional, and along with the storror team, they are stand up chaps!
jeez swags! wasn't expecting this, laid it bare, fair play. keep going.
Best of the series in my eyes, love toby, great human
Great interview! I've always loved seeing toby in Storror and other channels, but I never realized I'd relate to him this much. And the Beau shout out!
I did not think I could respect Toby anymore than I did but after this my respect & like of the young fella has shot up, he is such a humble & genuine person & I really liked his answers, especially number nine.
the first two questions right of the bat were deep, no easing in to them :D
As a guy who's recently given up pot after at least 15 years of daily use. I can relate.
Awesome to hear Toby speak about Beau! Love his videos.
this video instantly made him 100x more interesting.
Toby and the publishers crushed it. What a legit piece of journalism. The prompt suggests pessimism at times, but I think it really accentuates Toby's personality and mental fortitude. I respect anyone who lives a life like dying is just death. I don't even drink Dos Equis, but should they need a new spokesperson, Toby Segar has got to be a contender for the most interesting man in the world.
swaggerrr bob flames the goat himself Toby Segar
Big-up Toby, thanks for sharing this mate.
Been watching Storror for almost 6 years and I always felt like I knew Toby somehow (not trying to be presumptuous) I just felt like he is a kindred spirit in a a way. This confirms it. Every single thing he said is my same feeling and outlook.
I had been smoking pot every day for almost 20 years just recently decided enough is enough and I wanted to chase the things I love instead. I have never practiced parkour myself, but have always loved movement and always wanted to. Now I am using it everyday as motivation to not go back to my old habits. So I am now a 35 yo man, trying to learn the very basics of parkour and trying to find myself again.
Beau Miles has been instrumental for my mental health the last 3 years, his outlook is infinitely special and more of us should think the way he does.
Good luck bro
@@diegoindia2294 Thanks man! I hope you are well.
He's such a great human being
Right on Bob 🙌
Toby Segar the legend!
Great interview questions and even greater answers.
TY Toby for your honesty.
We love you Bob.
Never knew toby was on the lettuce while jumping off buildings, kinda makes sense now.
That was honest, thanks for sharing.
I've never resonated more with someone than my boy Toby x
Just about to start but I love Toby so much and just the whole storror boys and army! Recently found them and have definitely grown into a soldier in the army of what is the STORROR ARMY! Already can tell this is about to be a great vid as Toby is just a great human and individual! Big ups and mad respect from a bruv in Vancouver BC! Hopefully get to London one day too just roam around trying to spot y’all! Would definitely attempt something for the boys if I think it’s possible!
Go on Toby lad!!! Sick guy, sick athlete!

We appreciate an honest man though!
Shout to Beau who is making some of the best content on the internet.
What a fantastic person
I love that this has 100 000 views
Bro we have sop much more in common than I ever thought so rad. Makes a lot of sense why I dig your energy so much!
Thanks for the openness, Toby. My experience with mariuhuana is also anything but positive. Thought you'd be the tee total guy of the gang, but hey, still waters run deep
As a boxer trainee, Storror has been my inspiration to keep pushing myself to that 110% that I know I can provide. Toby has influenced me so much. This interview felt almost like talking to him. Thank you so much!
Brilliant
i am deeply in love with toby, he's the best kind of human in every facet. love this
Swaggy is a Beau Miles fan ... my day is made
Nice dude really sympathetic
I'm new to this channel, however I wouldn't mind if some music track was playing lightly in the background. Also putting transitions between each question just to break away a bit. Amazing interview questions for an extremely talented individual, few editing changes would make it even better!
Noted!
@@TheMotusProjects No please
this was awesome! thx toby
Toby is the bomb
The Beau miles love man! He is a genius and such an inspiration same as you are to many many people bro. 🙏🏼
"Embrace the moment" Storror x Motus merch coming soon?
Love the shout-out to Beau Miles. :)
What an honest and meaningful interview. I marvel at the things that man is capable of a very intelligent and pleasant person with depths beyond .... the worms are going to love it Toby 😊
Watched a lot of you T. I watch Storror every Mon. It’s so sad you don’t have a purpose… or that you have to think so hard to find one. Purpose is everything. No purpose… no hope. Especially what you put your purpose in. Jesus is my purpose. Gives me a reason to grow. Gives me hope for life after death. Gives me something bigger than myself to strive toward. If you want to know him/hear more, feel free to reach out.
I had the same relationship with weed too! I’m a little over a year and half sober now :). Hearing him talking about that similar experience was really encouraging to hear
Toby!
Great interview!
Toby is such a cool guy. Enjoyed this interview a lot👍🏻
What a great bloke and lovely person Toby is!
I didn't know about his back injury, can anyone point me the way to find out more about that?
Such a cool bloke is Toby.
beau miles is an amazing film maker and also highly recommend that channel.

I'm just getting back outside after a 9 month stint indoors with my back so i can absolutely relate to how hard it is....back injuries are absolutely brutal.
