    Romo was a good QB. At his peak, arguably Top 10. Yes, he didn't a SB, and he made some bonehead throws when it mattered most. But it doesn't negate a lot of the good he did. When the Cowboys needed him to throw 50 times a game was when he was at worst. 35 times a game kept the defense honest enough and that was when he was good. Yes, I can give you that he was like Danny White.... but He was also a good QB... but that is for another day...I wish Tony all the luck in his new endeavor.

      At his peak he was an all pro and robbed of an mvp even though playing half the season with two broken bones in his back. That was his final season and only season where he finally didn't have the worst oline. Because in 2015 he only played 3 and a half games and 2016 just 1 series. So at his peak he was top 1, top 2 at minimum.

    What's funny about this is that he's lecturing Romo on getting rid of the ball, apprently he never listened lol

    • @thecensoredmuscle563
      @thecensoredmuscle563 2 года назад

      Romo was the greatest escape artist of all time so he was able to afford to hold on to the ball to give the receivers time to get open. If he didn't do that than cowboys would barely ever win and be top 10 pick every year. Romo had extremely terrible olines, if holding on to the ball didn't work for him than he would have averaged like 60 sacks a season.

  • @michaelscott8768
    @michaelscott8768 7 лет назад +5

    I'm just sayin Romo as a QB has less playoff wins but he has broken and set so many more records in the Cowboys franchise than anyone else. Just sayin.

    If Romo were to ever go into the HOF it would be as a broadcaster if they even do that for broadcasters.

  • @alexmathewmendoza
    @alexmathewmendoza Год назад

    I remember when Romo took over for Bledsoe and Tony immediately got a target on his back. He was simultaneously the most talked-about QB and the most hated player in football. The playoff blunder in Seattle, his relationship with Jessica Simpson and the tabloid coverage of him and Witten on vacation before the playoffs all made for reality TV-style hate and gossip. It's funny how only now do people recognize his clutch plays, gunslinger throwing style and especially his oracular commentary as a broadcaster. He was never fully appreciated until after he hung up his cleats.

    Patrick Crayton, Laurent Robinson, Sam Hurd, Austin Miles are just a few WR he made look like pro bowlers. Austin and Robinson did. But when they wanted big money in Free agency they were terrible, why? because Romo made them look good. Terrance Williams and Dez. They were 1000 yd WR every year. The worst part is when he finally got an OL and a Defense he was one "No Catch" at GB from the Championship game. The next year is SB almost locked, and he gets hurt in pre season. Dez is still looking for a job, Romo made him a star.

      And it was not even 1, dropped another, then stuttered to not catch the game winner on 3rd down at the end of the game. Plus T.O. dropping a 50 yard bomb in the fourth. And the second string tight end dropping a td that hit him in the chest in the second half.
