    Hi There,
Do you know if there is a way to add a password to prevent other users from using the printer so that they have to give a specific password in order to print?
Our printer is a HP7740 Jet Pro. We would like to add a password to it to ensure only selected users have access to the printer?

Hi there, thanks for contacting HP Global Social Media Support!
I understand that you need to know about setting up password for your printer.
I will do my best to assist you.
Protect your HP printer against unwanted access and printouts by using a password-protected (secured) Wi-Fi connection, creating a unique printer display name, and limiting access to your printer as mentioned here: splr.io/6052YVIIp
      Regards,
      HP Support
