First I tried to swab the dry ink from the cartridge with Q-tip and rubbing alcohol, but that didn't solve my problem. Printer was still missing ink on lines of the document from top of the page to the bottom. After watching your video I boiled a bit of water, poured a little under 1cm of it into a coffee cup and left the cartridge in there for 4 minutes. Wiped it dry as you describe and put it back into the printer. On the first document the print was perfect! Thank-you.
Mine were perfect for about two pages. Then each page was faded more and more
Need to soak a bit longer ?
You did it! Brand new cartridge wasn’t able to exchange. Tried this. And it worked. I was so relieved
Thank you. After buying a new printer altogether.... just saw your vid now, tried it..... And it worked 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much! My ink cartridge was full and I had no idea what to do as I didn’t want to buy another expensive cartridge. This worked out great 👍
I was ready to buy new ink until i watched your video and followed your instructions. It worked and it saved me lots of money. Thank you so much!
You just saved me like 80.00 with this information.. highly appreciated and thank you so much
Thank you so much. Your video came up just as I was going to buy a new cartridge. Worked PERFECTLY. I have subscribed and look forward to future videos.
I didn't have to buy a new cartridge because of your video. Thank you!
I'm going to try your method tomorrow and hopefully it will work for me. Thank you for sharing this tutorial video. Your explanation method is wonderful. So easy to follow and understand. Much appreciated. Wish me luck please.
Thank you for this video!! I was contemplating buying some new cartridges but you've saved me needing to now!
I appreciate you. Cause of ur method my printer starts working! Thank you.
It worked for a couple pages, and then I think I reached the next layer up of dried ink. Also, my ink indicator is now on last bar (1 out of 4 with 4 indicating full), so maybe I should just go buy a new cartridge. But, very helpful.
this method totally worked - perfect print on the first try after soaking for 5 min! thank you!!
Thank you so much. this video helped me get my cartridges working from being all dried out. 👍🙂
Made an improvement for me. I rarely use my printer but my black cartridge seems to create problems. I only soaked it for a couple of minutes but I think longer may even give better results.
If it's a dried ink issue, the chance of fixing varies by how long it's been sitting unused as well as how much ink left inside the cartridge. From my experience If it's been a year or more and still pretty much full it's worth trying but you will want to soak it and dab it dry and repeat that multiple times. I've had to do over 5 or 6 times before getting decent results and a final soaking one time I even boiled the water. Basically the ink dries from the bottom and works it's way up the longer it sits unused. So basically what your doing with each soak is getting a layer of ink wet again removing it when dabbing and then you repeat the process to soak that next dry layer of ink. So my opinion if you still can't fix it after 10 tries max is probably too far gone and better off just replacing that cartridge.
HP troubleshooter couldnot solve blank sheets.
Found this video. Followed the instruction and the method worked. Left cartridge in warm water for less than 5 minutes. Reinserted an hey presto printing page !!
The method works. Depending how often you use your printer, it may take very long time to soak in the water. I have some cartridge only needs sit on the water for 3 minutes. And one time I haven't used the printer for 4 months, it took 3 hours in the water to have the cartridge works again.
So it could be 3 minutes or 3 hours.

Brilliant. worked first time, saved my day!!
I actually tried it and it worked perfectly well.
thanks a lot. I tried it now for 652 tricolor cartridge and now it can print color. Before it was only printing black from the black cartridge
i used paper towel with super hot water and rubbed it on the silver ribbon and the ink started flowing. Thank you!
this actually helped, thank you so much. I was quite close to throwing out the printer as it had been problematic. My bad for not printing regularly too xD
Thanks for saving us all money!!!
I rubbed the metal area with isoproly rubbing alcohol and it worked great.
Worked like a charm thanks!

hot water and q tips worked great
My ink cartridge haven't been used since 2023 or only used once or twice since 2021! This method worked. After soaking for 10 mins in warm water. Nicely prints 🖨 👌
I would like to give you a big thanks for your video and it has really helpful to me.
God bless you abundancely ! ❤😊🙏
Thank you very much. This worked perfectly for me. It really helped. 🙏

OMG. This worked!!!! Thank you...
This worked for me, thanks!
Thank you - it worked!
This worked...like a lot thanks man
Thank you so much! Worked good as new
I like to hear that!
It worked, thank you 🙏
thank you! it really worked
Thank you Sr! …It worked ❤
dissamble it, remove the sponge inside, rinse inside with warm water until clear water comes out from the printheqd of the cartride, works everytime, I mean if the issue is dry printhead not lack of ink or issue with the electronics
I don't think you should disassemble it. It's too risky and can cause the cartridge to break
As a mechanic and knowing how things work, this is a great idea. What’s risky?! Breaking something already broken?! And you can always buy a recycled one for a fraction of the price!
😃👍 Thanks! Does this also work with hp deskjet 2600 cartridges?
worked.... thanks
Thank you 🤍
Thank you😍
It worked, Thanks
I usually just damp a kitchen towel with hot water give the bottom of cartridge and hold the towel on it give it a quick clean on th bottom the give the cartridge a vigorous shake that dose the trick chic the cartridge on your wet towel and it comes out with the three colours same with the black
very nice
Thanks.
Yo! This shit worked like a charm!!
Helpful.
Good , It depends of course if the cartidge is not out of ink !!
thank you so much i didn't know this was possible you saved me a lot of money!!
Did not work, no matter what i did to it following these methods. Basically this inkjet cartridges are scamm from.printer companies. I even installed brand new ones and still not working . Moved on to laser long time ago and throw away any inkjets
does the printer get affected if I don’t use it for long time or just the cartridges ?
Thanks man but how can I fix ink is low in printer after refilling it
hello. when i need thois i on;y saw blue and yellow. the red one doent want to come out
is this for missing lines and color fades?
I tried but if I haven't used my cartridge for a long time (like 3 years) it's over right ? I tried without success
Does this dilute the ink?
my colours magenta and blur work fine its just my yellow lol, I can't get it unclogged !!!
Thanks😘😘😘😘😘😘
I've used this method before on other printer cartridges and it worked. Unfortunately with my HP Deskjet that uses #65 cartridges, the black won't print and the color one prints very faint gray. I bought the printer new a few years ago and after printing a few test pages, never used it again until getting it out yesterday. Ink comes out after soaking and dabbing on paper but still won't print.
Darn, that sucks. They're to expensive to give up. I sure hope that you have found a solution & it's working for you. GOD Bless🕊️
What about printhead??do we have to clean them same way??with warm water??? I cannot find that at settings ??somebody told we have to do that as well..any idea??
They literally said in the video
This method only applied to the brands (like HP) that have the printer head build in on the cartridge side. For brands (like EPSON) that have printer head built in on the printer side, it doesn't work.
i tried this, but my magenta color is still missing even in the nozzle plate. How to solve this? :(
PS. I tried the blowing method and magenta color shows but still not printing and when I check magenta color, it is again missing
change colour brand.... i had issue with yellow colour...
I tried it and repeated it, but I keep getting an error that the cartridges are defective. I know it had to work bc everything worked like in the video. It's a brand new printer and I only used it twice. I think HP gives you just enough ink, and then you have to buy more.
my pins on cartridge some are black
Interesting how little information you get from official HP sources. It is already a ripoff. They should at least try to help out their customers. Thanks TTF!
How i know it.s ready
you just have to try it - make sure you dry it off well - then put it back in the printer and test it
When you tap the cartridge on the slightly wet paper towel and it shows three color.
Ano po yan mainit na tubig?
ito ay mainit na tubig - mula sa lababo
Did this and my print head is now defective (1 hr)
If it's your printer that is causing the problem, cleaning an ink cartridge is useless.
i have better method
Here is your cooki
What is it?

French kiss the cartridge. Use your tongue instead of paper towel.
Omg!! It worked!!! You save my printer… 🥳🥳🥳 Thank you 😃😃😃
Thank you! It worked perfectly!
Thanks. This worked for me. :)
Thank you so much - it worked for me! 😊
