Waltari is a Finnish crossover pioneer. They E.g. performed a Death Metal Opera with a symphonic orchestra in The Night of the Arts -festival in Helsinki in 1995. The song with Marco is from their 3rd Decade Anniversary album, on which they made versions of their songs with artists and bands from different genres. There's E.g. this version of their song "One Day" with a band called Eläkeläiset (The Pensioners), which makes Humppa praising versions of classic songs in Finnish: "Waltari & Eläkeläiset - Ehtoopuolella". Humppa combines Jazz and Foxtrot. Before that song there's a version with Bomfunk MC's, which is a Hip Hop group. Their song "Freestyler" charted number 1 in several countries in 2000 and was the highest-selling single in Europe that year. If you want to listen something (possibly) different and soothing, I recommend this one: "Waltari & Angelit - Step Outside". Waltari has collaborated several times with Angelit to have Sami Yolk on their songs. At some point Roope Latvala played in Waltari and with Marco in Sinergy. Latvala is regarded as a pioneering guitarist in Finnish Metal. If you want some Finnish Thrash on your plate: "Stone - Brain Damage". Roope Latvala did also the album cover art. Latvala played also in Children of Bodom with Alexi Laiho, who was also in Sinergy. Eläkeläiset has made a version of Children of Bodom's song, which Alexi Laiho then covered. so the circles are on the smaller side. A suggestion: "Children Of Bodom - Lookin' Out My Back Door".

Waltari is a Finnish band that has been around since 1986, but Marko isn’t a member of the band. This is just something he did with them. I think he sounds great on this. He just doesn’t know what to do with his hands when he’s not playing bass or guitar.

Loved that double neck acoustic guitar! Marko not only sings and plays bass, but also plays guitar and cello, writes songs, and produces his own and other bands' music. Great reaction! Not sure about Wolfman's advice at the end though. 😆 Stay safe and stay healthy! ~Mike H.

My fave part of this video is when the studio cat spits up the pink guitar pick! And how wonderfully awkward Marko is w his hands when he doesn't have a guitar!

Not my favourite Marco collaboration. Nice rhythmic complexity but Marco really is the standout here. What a great voice.
    The autobiography finished before 2021.
