- Wild Eagle was the first B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) wing coaster to open in the United States in 2012 and was voted as the best new ride of that year. Did you know that although it stands some 210 feet (64m) tall, it actually has a 135 foot (41m) drop due to its location on top of the hill behind Mystery Mine?

This is the smoothest, quietest coaster. You can carry on a conversation at normal volume. It's exciting and yet so serene.

Wild Eagle is the quietest coaster I have ever been on. Almost unbelievably quiet.
That's extra gut wrenching for the seat being off the centre! Brilliant but ugh! 😂

@@jojo_hendriks The only thing special about it was the car layout and sitting to the side of the track. Other than that, Eagle is pretty cookie-cutter imo. Mystery Mine and Lightning Rod were far more thrilling for me.

This was the first rollercoaster i ever road with an inversion, first tall rollercoaster ive ever road too. I was terrified getting on but i immediately wanted to ride it again afterwards. This will always be a favorite. Im going to dollywood again in a few days and ill definitely be riding this rollercoaster again, its been 3 years since ive been to Dollywood wood and im excited to ride my favorites. TN tornado, wild eagle, thunderhead and lighting rod are some of my favorite rides of all time

If you are scared to do this one, it’s like 2 seconds of drop time and then pure fun. Trust me, it’s worth it

@Maninyourwalls that one is so scary but a baby ride! It’s so fun and you will want to do it again when ur done. When I came to Dollywood, I was so scared of roller coasters but I did mystery mine and then I did wild eagle and then I did lightning rod and they’re all just so fun you have to do big bear if you go there great coaster

Having been on it multiple times, I can confirm, it's FANTASTIC.

When I first rode it I was terrified then I rode it 14 times later

Today I am going on the wild eagle and I am super excited. This is for like vacation and I’m gonna be on it with my cousin and he keeps telling me that it’s not scary and that it’s the smoothest and quite are used to be scared of it, but I haven’t rolled it yet, but now I’m super excited

I have been on this ride and looking back at the video it looks smooth but I have no doubt in my mind I will never do it again!!! It was a once in a lifetime thing for me! At some point I kept my eyes closed the entire time. But I totally did that! 😌
I do encourage you to ride it though.
Is the drop bad? I have no fear of heights, but it’s that funny feeling in my stomach that really prevents me from riding a lot of fun looking coasters.
@@kain393 I know this is a very late reply, but I'll tell you something, if you ride it, you won't regret it. I've always feared that sensation in my stomach while going down a huge drop off. If you ride this for the first time, it might be sorta bad, but it's REALLY fun. Once you're used to it though, it gets better. I rode in the back, so the speed is going to be different depending on if you're in the back or front. The back is faster, but the front gives a better view of things. I totally recommend if you want to overcome the feeling.
@@kain393I'm late too but adding on to what the other person said, it'll also be over fast if you decide you hate it, but when you ride tall coasters like this a lot you also start to get used to it, I recently visited six flags over Georgia and I rode Goliath 5 times and not once did my stomach not drop on the first drop but by the 5th time I was totally used to the feeling.

I believe that the left side is the strong side for Wild Eagle. Seems to be more feet choppers on the left than the right.

I totally agree, and tbh B&M vest restraints suck so sacrificing the "i'm off the side of the track" parts would probably be worth it for lots more hangtime. It could've honestly used another inversion, a simple in-line twist as it just kind of meanders around for too long when it has all the room to do so.

I road lightning rod with a 165 foot drop and I’m still scared to ride wild eagle and it has a 135 foot drop.

I think the ride was smooth fun but scary for me I also got over my fear and did it anyway because the first time I went with a worker it was awesome I said after the ride that. was the best ride ever at Dollywood and the fire chaser express was amazing but hot and the hot chocolate was the best Dollywood has cool gift shop ever so yea true fact

If not a hyper coast it’s close. The drop is the scariest part. The rest is smooth as butter and serene. I wanted to ride this more times but I had a splitting headache after riding Thunderhead.
I couldn’t even make it to the point of the ride moving and I puked. I did have pizza and went on tcups and ie as nervous because I had never rode this ride before.
