This is very similar to what happened to me three days ago! I had never been diagnosed with acid reflux and my lungs are good, but somehow I started to feel some small pressure in my upper chest and some 'sore throat' in my lower throat, with some dry cough (started gradually about a week ago)... and I thought it was coronavirus, so I freaked out! After having pizza with lots of tomato sauce after dinner... an hour after that, I started to realize to feel that it's even harder and harder to breathe so I started to panic a bit. And few minutes later... I thought I was having a panic attack, while probably (I assume) in reality was an asthma attack, where I couldn't take a breath... went into panic mode! Had to call an ambulance... even though they didn't take me because of coronavirus "serious" cases only policy... jeez! Until this incident, I never had any symptoms like burning feeling in the chest or anything like that... this came to me out of nowhere and now that the coronavirus is a major thing... I went nuts! Terrible time for anyone to have Acid Reflux / GERD mistakenly diagnosed as Asthma!
@Neo Ssk it's because herd causes reflux sometimes it makes it to your throat and mouth, then that can sometimes get in your lungs and cause breathing issues
Gluten free diet got rid of my GERD. 10 years and docs couldn't figure out why i was experiencing so much reflux and offered no solutions other than surgery which i refused. One day my 13 year old son strongly suggested i consider a gluten free diet and he made me a gluten free chocolate cake to prove that it wouldn't trigger my acid reflux. I tried it and was in shock. For years i avoided chocolate cake like the plague because a few bites was enough to send me to the ER. But when I had zero reaction to this gluten free cake i was convinced. Went on a gluten free diet and my GERD disappeared. For the 1st time in 10 years i felt normal again. Its no been 15 years and i haven't had severe episodes. The only time i get very MILD reflux is when i eat foods with GLUTEN. which I try to avoid and only indulge occasionally.

One strange thing, when i have gass in stomac, it make wheezing voice in chest during allergy time, but when gass is out, voice goes away too. its very strange an dont know which doctor should go anymore.

I have the same symptoms that started a few months back, i used to have a lot of junk and have terrible sleep schedule, so around a month & a half back i started getting throat pain, sour taste in mouth and burning sensation ( constant) on the left side below the breast bone, the problem comes that when i eat i feel like i have to take a deep sigh to catch my breath and it becomes such a pain to even eat something. I have been diagnosed with gerd and i am making life style changes now but i am scared to eat as i feel i wont be able to breathe i also have constipation sometimes and the feeling that i ll throw up which doesnt happen. Has anyone else experienced this ? Is there a cure for it ? Currently i am modifying diet and exercising as i am overweight but i havent taken any medication as yet, i also suffer from anxiety since the last 5 years for which i take 1 tablet of clonazapam 0.5 mg once a day. Anyone had similar problem, this gets worse for me at night :( any help would be appreciated !!
there gavascon and lonsopel it does help me if I remember to take them. also if I run out of them a full glass of milk get rid of reflux semi skined milk not full milk. for night i got another problem if it not reflux it sleep apena. and the Coronavirus doesn’t help my anxiety and depression. that also cause shallow breathing.

Bro try cut off coffee if you drink some, I had severe breathing problems and they told me I got asthma but inhalators aind did shit I chabged my diet to very healthy full of vegetables and no pizza coffee milk and all went off after sporting ang eating all good without sugar drinks only water and then I started to fall back into my bad habits and shortness of breath came back..

I've had 2 chest x-rays all clear and now going for a CT scan. Been telling the doctors for months it could be gerd so tried a week of omeprazole but it didn't work. I am convinced I have gerd and need either an operation or some kind of medication as it's the only other explanation

Hope your surgery was a success. I’m going to a surgeon for a consult to decide on surgery. I understand there are 3 options, ( Nissen, TIF, and Linux). Which one did you have?
@@soniayoung3544 I got the Nissen and it really helped with my acid reflux but later on they realized I had COPD so if yours is more breathing problems I would get that tested because the surgery only did so much for me sadly. But everyone case is different.

@@2331-z4j I stopped eating after 9 pm. I stopped drinking sparkling water and sparkling sodas. I stopped tomatoes and chocolate and garlic and onion. Also I reduced my coffee. Now its kind of okay. Also in the beginning, I gurgled with baking soda and took 3 sips, that helped the most.

I have that. This is been going on for years and never knew I had a silent reflux. It’s gotten worse over time. I have chronic gastritis now. Ugh!
