Do You Really Need a Preamp?

This is one of the most inspiring and important tools I've bought after getting all of my essentials. If you are looking for a thing to add some spice to your recordings, I whole heartedly recommend looking into a preamp.
Recorded with the JHS Colourbox V2, among other things.

Just ordered a colourbox. I have two JHS crayons that I use as preamps for the extra inputs on my interface but I’ve wanted the colourbox for far too long, your video pushed me over the edge! My next album will feature this pedal heavily.

2 things - not sure if taping up the gutter of that EV RE10 is messing with the polar pattern. and the second is that the "audix d-clip" fits these EV mics (and many other different sized pencil mics) perfectly.

Fala Rodrigo, tudo bem? Eu tenho esse pedal (Colourbox V2) e eu uso para gravação em home studio. Ele é ótimo! Principalmente por ter XLR de entrada e saída; é um ótimo preamp e equalizador. Costumo usar antes de entrar na interface.
