Right on Chris, that is some excellent Salmon fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man this closure drive me nuts, I can't wait for it to be over, and hopefully the Salmon will have showed up at Bodega!!! Thanks brother for the excellent video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@ChrisPfish2, yes sir! July can be a challenge at first, just trying to locate them. I've always had pretty good luck with starting off Tomales point in 100' of water , and troll out west from there to 240'. Sometimes you get some biggies that are already starting to transition to the shallows. My p.b. was in end of June, 2005 in 180' of water off of Bird rock, and 45' on the wire using a RSK with Anchovy. It took me 45 mins. to get into the net, but it weighed in at 39lbs.
Sweet. That was a good day. Is your boat more of a hot rod boat that gets you to the fishing grounds a little quicker than the other boats that launch?
Chris thanks for your reply ,going to Half Moon Bay tomorrow u have a percentage for your trolling speed , I don't have that on my boat , can u tell me what MPR is 28 percent
@@ChrisPfish2 I look forward to that day my friend! In the meanwhile, do you know anyone REALLY good at Salmon fishing that you would recommend for my wife and I bro? Ty.
I dont think its illegal but Its not good practice to release "for sure" keeper salmon. You wouldnt want to release it if you net it and bring it into the boat. The release of 25" on the side of the boat is fine. Its something I thought about when I was out there, 26-27" is still pretty good size. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment
Nice Chris, i went to Half moon Bay today pretty nasty , this coming 3rd & 4th of July looks like 2 real good days at HMB , could u give me your opinion , would be grateful for your knowledgeable opinion
I would love to. I wouldnt know where to start thats why I havent tried bringing my boat down there. Maybe one day I will get the opportunity to learn from someone. Thanks for watching
Man just love watching your vids....Hey i want to pick your brain........buddies and I are going out for the first time in the bay in his boat....... we're a little scared but would love some insight and tips if possible. Keep up the with the vids our hole crew love watching them!!!!!
My tip would make sure the wind is low. If the wind starts picking up and your boat is under 24ft you should probably make your way towards the marina. Stay around other boats so if something bad happens others are around.
@@jwdupre6 when salmon opens june 23 thats outside the GGB from muir beach to stinson beach is pretty good. For halibut there are so many places, berkley is one of the most common.
Hey Chris, great catch before the closure. Which I troll system do you have and how much do they cost. I have an 18’ boulton but when trolling with the kicker I find that it is hard to adjust the speed and direction. I was thinking about an auto pilot but the run around $4k. Any thoughts. Thank s
That was an epic day! Furthest I've ever run offshore in my little Klamath. My brother's first time on my boat and we got him a fat salmon and then ran in for rockfish and crabs. ruclips.net/video/aFVQDvS89D8/видео.html
Humpback poo? Greenish goo can be macroalgae called "Sea lettuce" ulva Fenestrata which has 8 types. Believe it or not there is actually a recipe with chicken stock and sesame whee people eat this goo lol!!!
fishing wise might consider tying the flashier onto the downrigger cable then running a release clip 4 feet above where you run your line. This way the flasher stays out of your way when fighting the salmon. Saves a lot of fish particularly big salmon that thrash and pop off right at the boat as they double back on you spitting hooks.
Early limits is the best!
Thanks for the numbers. It helps getting early limits when you can make a bee line for the spot!
Both you and fisherman’s life are awesome. Just bought a crestliner 14’ deep v hull and I’m excited to get fishing
Nice work on the boat Tyler! Thanks for the support, never thought my name would be in the same sentence as fishermans life.

"Hearing some fish on the radio" fish are smart nowadays :P
The small bait fish you found in the stomach are juvenile shortbelly rockfish. Some years the salmon are full of them.

lol. like 2.5mph. if you think your speed is an issue try and match with a boat that is catching. Good luck
Are the krippled anchovies pre rigged or do you tie your own hooks? Nice job on the videos.
