The video I’ve been waiting for, Tuna blood on the new boat. I’m glad you got into the fish Chris makes the tow to Ft Bragg worth it. Congrats on getting the new boat bloody.
Living the dream Chris. I always look forward to watching your new videos! I've been really looking into those rod holder mounts, maybe someday I'll get myself a few.
I'd recommend making a ice slurry for your bleed bucket and bleed and cool the fish all at once. Once they are cold, put them into your kill bag with just ice. Water in your kill bag will make the ice melt faster.
The ice slurry in the bucket will help cool them down quicker and you’ll need less ice in your kill bag. We throw a couple of blocks in for better ice retention
i think it does help a ton. I actually didnt touch the steering wheel once. I can make perfect circles with it. when we hook up i go straight and all the lines stay perfect behind boat while going 2-3mph.
Bro Heading to Fort Bragg on the 20th of Sept...Maybe We'll see you there...Weather Permits..if Not We'll Head North to the Oregon area...Be Nice to Buddy Up with you in Fort Bragg if the Weather is good...
hey Chris.. looks like a great day of really fun fishing.. also your new boat is awesome.. Since u got your captains license I will be reaching out for a trip some time soon.. So for the Albacore it seems like trolling speed is about half of what we do for the Blue Fin if you could confirm that and also I'm not sure which lures to use.. and I hear there is a water temperature interface that we should look for ... and then one last question .. i assume i can use my Blue Fin rig for the albacore trolling... great video and any advice is appreciated... Thanks Phil
I was using some of my bft gear for albacore. Its just heavy to hold but of course works great to bring in the albacore. Yeah you want to look for temp breaks. 61-62 degree water is generally were you want to start. albacore trolling is probably about 60% of bft speed. Thanks for watching
I remember on good days we got so tired cranking them in nobody wanted to any more and after coming back to the dock, we were too tired to clean 40 fish!
Thats why we headed in at 2pm and the trip following this one I went in at 1pm. Too many fish lol. Yeah there the biggest pain to clean. Thanks for watching
If you idle the motor when you’re jigging you can actually get the jig to a good depth, 100-150 ft. Otherwise the boat moving will prevent you from getting down and getting a good presentation. Jigging is sooo fun, once you try it and get one you’ll be hooked.
Jigging, chunking, and casting are waaaay more fun than trolling. That cavalla is deff a more appropriate setup. The the mak 20s and 30s are overkill as fuck.
Are you usually out of Bodega? My family lives in Santa Rosa/Sebastapol and I'd love to book a trip when I'm up visiting. How far out are typical reservations? Thanks! Love all the videos.
Yeah i go from bodega too. Next tuna video is from there. Feel free to contact me from info in description and we can plan a trip. Thanks for watching, chris
Are those orange n blk rods 10' ugly sticks? Would be good rods for that I think, I use 8.5'sticks for king salmon n land many 20+ n up to 30+ lb fish, good rods
you study temp and chloro charts before going out. Go were the water changes temperature from high 50's to low 60's. then chloro charts show you were the blue water is. The fish move with the water. Thanks for watching
$450 per person. looks like everyone else is charging $500. I didnt try to undercut them. I just announced my pricing before I saw there's. I include everything besides your lunch. Tuna trips use about $400 in gas and 12 hours on the main motor.
I’ll say that I like watching your videos, it’s great that you teach as you go through the day. I’m taking notes for the albacore fishing. I hope to get a few this season
Man what a day. one of the best trips I’ve ever had. Thanks for the invite buddy it was too much fun. Great captain always finding the fish 🤟🏼 🎣
Thanks Ahmed! Fun times!
Chrispy! I've been following you since day 1 and can't believe how far you've come. Will be excited to get on board one of these days soon.
I appreciate the support for all the years! My contact info is in description, lets go fishing!

Nice video of tuna fishing, congratulations Cris
Great video Chris 👏
Great day of fishing Chris! Now the real work starts. Cleaning all them fish.

Good action👍Tripling up got to be exciting with expectations for increased action .
Cool video👏🎣😊
Living the dream Chris. I always look forward to watching your new videos! I've been really looking into those rod holder mounts, maybe someday I'll get myself a few.
@HitchByHitch I appreciate that. thanks for watching them. Yes the rod holders were a great addition to the boat!
Gotta love the chaos of double and triple action

isn't an ice slurry just ice with water?
the water in the bag is from ice melting. We put the fish in a bucket to bleed for about 2 minutes then throw them in the ice bag. Thanks for watching
The ice slurry in the bucket will help cool them down quicker and you’ll need less ice in your kill bag. We throw a couple of blocks in for better ice retention
For that size kill bag, add two boxes of kosher salt. It makes the ice last longer.
Ice slows the bleed, try both and see what you think, i have
Great video. I would love to come out there with. Maybe next year. Funds are tight this year
Strek beby tuna Mr 👍
Awesome fishing
The auto pilot make a difference in trolling for albacores and BFT. Great trip Chris.

I missed those days in San Diego 70S, 80S, when the long fins were here
Great day of Tuna fishing.

Nice video Chris 👍
@DDFishingCo I appreciate that, thank you!
I’d recommend against starting a charter business. It’s a good way to sour the enjoyment of the hobby. Just keep doing it for fun.
Good thing is I can do it at my own leisure. So far the experience has been very positive with the trips I have ran.
This is awesome!
Right on Chris
Nice job.
Nice catch 🎉
Good job buddy

I’m ready to go!
But will you target more bluefin in October? I’d be down for bluefin only.
yeah bft just arrived. Will start to focus on them very soon. Thanks for watching
@@ChrisPfish2 I will email you and book a trip!

Congrats on the Captain's license and a successful day tuna fishing. What apps or sites do you use to check yhe water temp before heading out?
app= satfish ($100). website= tempbreak.com (free). paying one is better but free one is good to get by

for sure, what i didnt show is me waiting for it to sink for 15-20sec before reeling. Thanks for the tip and watching the video

When you slow down have some one grab one of the rods start making large sweeping jigs alot of time you will hook another one
What LB Line are those plastic rod holders rated at?
Do you see the fish on the fish finder? -or is that type of fishing just area fishing on known spots?

It’s crazy how low your boat sits on the trailer. Do you know its weight?
I HAVE BEEN USING CEDAR PLUGS FOR OVER 35 YRS MY PB IS #40LB ON A CEDAR ...
If you slow your troll speed to 6 into and instantly slow to 4knt you will have a chance to load the other lines and be able to catch swimbait fish
Why no live bait chum to keep the school around?
because i didnt have live bait 🤷♂
what type of boat is that?
north river 25ft hardtop. Thanks for watching
What brand of boat?
North River
