Wow I really enjoy this video brother, the leopard shark at the beginning just told you it was going to be a good day. Bunch of nice halibuts some good releases 👍🏾🤙🏾 salmon is allways good protein to stay healthy out there, and yes stays fresh on the sucbags 😂🤙🏾👍🏾 hopefully I can have an experience around Alcatraz one day 👍🏾🤙🏾👍🏾 new sub from palm springs bunch of good spots thanks for sharing I'm looking forward to making an reservation to go fish on your boat I'll do the 8 hour drive from palm springs 👍🏾🤙🏾
The indicator tube ( the pissing ) is only part of the cooling system to let you know the impeller is pushing water through motor to cool. In your case the impeller was properly working to cool the motor but you would have no way to tell . I sucked up debris through the impeller that clogged the indictor stream while out on the water that caused a bit of a panic. I motored home dependent on the "overheated alarm" to work. No alarm, no impeller problems just a clogged tube.
We have what’s referred to here in the foothills as “Mud Dobber” wasps they love putting their larva incased in a mud cocoon into small crevices. Tell tail is ideal for them. My solution is a small piece of painters masking tape. The blue kind doesn’t leave residue, is removed easily, and if you forget, the water from the engine forced through the tell tail will blow it out of the way. Ounce of prevention thing. Tight lines. Pyramid Lake in Nevada opens up in October I’ll be fishing it hard, want to go? Tight lines.
hey! we were in front of alcatraz this past sunday didnt get nothing moved to the flats and got some keepers we always look for ya when we on the bay if i see ya ill say hi love the vids bro!
Glad you got back on the water Chris! Always looking forward to your videos. Even thinking about trying to get some tuna next week if the winds iron out. Maybe I’ll see you out there again.
Hey Chris, great job! For that bug in the outboard indicator tube... I usually keep a piece of bailing wire in my boat glove box and when I'm warming up the engine at the dock, if it doesn't start peeing, then I stick the wire up there. Had to do this at Tomales and it saved the fishing trip!! Ended up getting 3 that day! :)
Yeah in the moment I thought something bad had happened. Was so glad it was a simple fix I could do on the phone with a mobile mechanic in ten minutes. But now because of that I learned how to troubleshoot and fix the issue. You live and you learn, I will know what to do now. Thanks for watching and the tip.
Sometimes it goes like that Chris u should know as long as you been fishing it’s amazing I hate when that happens to me everyone else catching but the captain o well it is what it is beautiful video brotha.
Chris do you run your bait tank off your starting batteries, or do you run a separate battery committed to it? If the starting batteries, ever have any trouble with drawing it down too much?
I have two batteries. Everything runs off those. I have a switch to be on battery 1, battery 2, battery 1 & 2, no battery. When crusing you want to be on 1 & 2 so it charges both. Then when not moving switch to 1 or 2. Then your using one and not both. Typical day fishing battery power isnt a concern though. I just have it on battery 1 and dont touch it through out the day. Then I plug in when i get home and charge both up again. Thanks for watching
yeah pump is next to transducer attached to back bottom of boat. Say pump is off. When on plane the tank would still fill up because the pressure of the water would push it in. I have a valve on the intake pipe i shut when I am not using it so I dont carry the extra weight. Hope that makes sense? Thanks for watching

Thanks for the video dude! Me and my little guy love the updates you put together! Has everyone moved away from the Rock Wall now a days? Thanks again dude 🎣 🇺🇸 🦅
Glad your liking the videos, thank you! Yeah rockwall (south bay) has really warm water this time of year. I am sure its in the 70's. There probably some halibut but the best bite will be by the GGB or central bay this time of year
Limit is three hooks in SF bay. Ocean has no limit. Certain species have there own restrictions. Example is rockfish is 2 hooks, sturgeon is 1 hook barbless. California halibut dont have restrictions besides 22" min and limit of 2. If i was in the ocean I could use 10 hooks on the rig if I wanted too. On a side note, people google "how many hooks can you use for halibut" and it says 2. If you look more into that its pacific halibut limit is 2, but cali hali dont have that restriction. Hope that helps you understand the rules a little.
Used to catch some big stripers there. That gaff will be perfect for big eyes Chris. I can't wait to see the fight of the big eye.
I'm tempted to say soupfin shark because of the smaller eye, but the tail shape is really steering me toward brown smooth-hound shark.
Lovin the intro music!!! Keep up the great work!!
That's awesome any day on the water fishing it's a good day...
Nice, congrats on your new NR Boat
Another awesome video Chris!!!! Nice halibut!!!
Cool area to fish Chris, 2 sharks and a keeper halibut at least kept you busy some.
good day for sure. Thanks for watching!
I used to do a lot of shark fishing around the area. So beautiful leopard sharks. Big 7 gills and 6 gills.

That was awesome bro. Love the scenery and of course when we're out on the water, can't really beat that either. 🌊 🛥️🎣

Are you guys still catching halibut in November?
Chris do you run your bait tank off your starting batteries, or do you run a separate battery committed to it? If the starting batteries, ever have any trouble with drawing it down too much?

That clog happened to me once with bee hive in an older Johnson motor
no fun, but you live and you learn. Now I know how to troubleshoot and fix that. Thanks for watching
Did you ever go north to fish out of Bragg either of the last two weekends?
video posting today from there :)
3 weeks ago we caught limits Hali off Alcatraz with my PB 38 1/2” 28.5 pound beast
hell ya! that is a beast.
Oh my gosh... did i just catch a fish.....love you guys....
How is the pump for that bait tank set up? Do you have a high speed pickup of some kind so it still pumps on plane?
yeah pump is next to transducer attached to back bottom of boat. Say pump is off. When on plane the tank would still fill up because the pressure of the water would push it in. @@ChrisPfish2 Thanks. I have a new boat on order and I'm looking for a removable bait tank setup just like that.

@@ChrisPfish2 Right on! Yeah we were hitting it hard a couple months ago and finally get to go out this coming Saturday. Stay tuned… 🤞
Question: Is it legal to use 3 hooks on 1 rod? I thought the limit was 2...(not even sure why I thought that but that was my understanding).
Limit is three hooks in SF bay. Ocean has no limit. Certain species have there own restrictions. Example is rockfish is 2 hooks, sturgeon is 1 hook barbless. Hey Chris! I got that Okuma reel and man I love it!!
Nice happy to hear you like it. It is great! Works well for so many species too.
Mud dobbers do the same thing, they go up vent lines any hole possible . .
Hey Chris what is your boat’s top speed and cruising speed?
My top speed is 35mph. I cruise at 28-30mph when its nice out. If its a little bumpy i cruise around 20mph. Thanks for watching
You will get your tuna soon lol great video
Chris, we're dreaming with you! We also have a brand new 6' gaff that we're hoping to use on a tuna.
right on... hopefully it happens for us soon!
What rig is that with the 3 hooks
something I made up myself.
Look like a soup then shark 😆
Dogfish/7 gill?
Dogfish don't have that second pelvic/anal fin, and 7 gill only have one dorsal fin, positioned much further back.
S hole city now used to be great
Hey Chris I was going to buy your Okuma Rod. Is there a link or creator code I can use to support you?
no not for that one. i do amazon links but that exact rod isnt on amazon. I appreciate you asking!
The only thing worse than getting skunked is catching a shark. They usually tear up something.
Mud Dauber wasp's are famous for that.
another reason to not like wasps!
supppppp
thanks for watching!
shark at the end was dog fish.
It's a school shark, aka soupfin shark. They're critically endangered.
Blablablabla no fckn fish
Thanks for watching, hope you get better
