With all their adversities, some self inflicted, Cubs still have a chance to split the series against the Division leader on the road. Need a big outing by Taillon and some rekindled early season offensive production to get the win today and regroup at home.
I Can take a loss much better if I see good baseball played. But all these base running blunders and balls not caught and leaving runners on base by whiffing at everything won’t do it. It’s getting very boring not to say frustrating. 😡
Killian, Hillian, and Horton. We only talk about 1 and all 3 are decent. Where is the other Little? LH 1st Rd pick. He's in Trip A, Not sure how he's been. Js, May be time to give so these guys a look in the Mlb Bullpen.
Well what’s the problem with him needing rest in the first place? I get it and the rotation does have the luxury to be able to do this, but I hope he gets back to a more steady schedule. Horton going down with the back stinks for sure because what an embarrassment of riches for the Cubbies with the pitching lately! Question… what has Porter Hodge been doing in the minors before his callup? He a strictly reliever only?
Shota not locating. It's going to happen at some point. Horton going down with a back issue is better than an arm. Johnson and Ryan had back issues throughout their career. Hope it means his mechanics are good. Swanson has never been good with the bat and is the Jason Heyward of shortstops. Completely fleeced the Cubs. This is the problem when you listen to fans. Demanded Happ, Bellinger, and a "big 3" shortstop. Now we have a bunch of below average nice personalities who are blocking guys who probably need a shot at the big roster. Hope with warm weather come hot bats, but they're playing like team who'll miss the playoffs by a game or four.
How much longer do we have to put up with Gomes hitting .158. This dude raked last year and now couldn't get a hit off a Little Leaguer. Hey, Jed why don't you contact the Houston Cheaters and see if they'd part with Victor Caratini?
Can the front office and the team sit down and binge watch the 2016 team in the regular season. I’m so frustrated with this team playing to not lose. 2016 didn’t care about losing, they played with wreck less abandon and just loved the game. I want that team back. This team did that the last half last year but they have forgotten how to love the game.
Cubs need to fire all these strength and conditioning trainers they have. It is unbelievable how many players Majors & Minors they have that have had to spend on the IL this year!
As a fan I am sick to my stomach watching our highest paid offensive players not hitting, running. Counsell needs to start managing each game like it was a playoff game. The team struggled and Ross almost got us to the playoffs. Counsell is more worried about what's going to happen 2 years from now. It's nuts!
I don’t think it’s a young man game.. it’s a velocity man’s game. Verlander is old and was killing it. Hendricks doesn’t have the velocity. Also what’s with always pointing the finger at Suzuki? Happ, Hoerner (whom is one of my favorite players), Tauchman, all suck right and aren’t playing all that well.. but yet they get nothing?
I know I shouldn't say this but the Bewers are a better team except for cf. I've been paying attention to them for weeks and they bounce back very well. I still don't think Armstrong is the answer but I think they should have him lead off against righties and just bunt if he can. Steal!!!
This is the first game I hang the loss squarely on counsel. You don't sit shota 2 weeks, you don't pinch hit wisdom for my 9 year old grandson, and you don't keep running Swanson out stinking up the place
This is the first time in my over 50 years watching baseball that they single out a pitcher and give him special treatment. I think it backfired on them. Why take him out of the groove? 😡
I have an interesting idea, how about you score some runs win a few games before you do that stupid Spider-Man celebration on first or second after reaching just saying
Yes, we’re banged up, but we also are just not as good as the Brewers right now, which is incredibly frustrating. We need to be better and our star players need to play better.
That ball was not hit softly. .Baseball instincts will tell you to run on that play as it looked like it was ticketed for left field. You guys takes have been nick picky lately.
Back to scoring a few runs and imanaga is human. Didn't get the win but this team is getting back to where it needs to be. Been a pretty good series all in all. Let's get the w today and keep grinding
I’m very discouraged with the every move with the team management/ the approach , the no urgency, it’s important that they get this straightened out immediately before we’re completely done!
Kyle Hendricks made his debut on July 10, 2014. If I'm not mistaken, he has to stay on the team until July 10th of this year to get his pension. Maybe that's why they're keeping him around. Kaplan mentioned that.
Let’s trade one of our young pitchers from Wicks; Hayden; Assad; Keegan; Brown(really hesitate though) for a star closer like Cleveland’s Clase , A’s Miller; Washington’s Finnegan. Get closer set and then the rest 6-7-8th inning guys will be fall into places nicely. Hitting wise just have to wait for them to get better and the young guys to be ready. Look at Reds, young players need time to develop.
Not very smart to take a pitcher out of his rhythm. What were Cubs thinking? Or were they thinking at all?
It didn’t have to be like this. He could’ve started on Monday.
Nelson Velázquez hitting homers in KC and what do we have? An anemic offense and defense. And his arm.
We have Cuas for Velazquez. Hoyer must be fired soon, Ricketts, you don’t have to wait ‘til offseason.
Where's Owen Cassie
Hey the cubs are desperate. PCA is back. lol lol lol lol lol lol lol llol lol ll lol lol

Brewers have been struggling and they have more injuries than the Cubs.
This year the pitching is way ahead of the hitting. Team average is .240 , lowest since the Gibson Era. Hope they come back to career average
Thanks for the show Mick and Ant! LET'S GO CUBS!!! ⚾️✌️💙🐻
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shota missed his start and that threw him off.

maybe they need to bring Ross back
Several valid points in this video guys. However, we have to quit letting Dansby Heyward off the hook.

I agree with you on Madrigal and PCA, Mick.
Amaya is terrible Gomes not much better bring Vasquez up barely use him need PCA sit Susuki sit Morel let Vazquez try third.

Why doesn’t anybody mention the reliever we DFA and is doing great, with the Padres, Jeremiah Estrada?

I had a feeling that too much rest wasn't a good idea for Shota.
Hey mick. What a game Thursday. Gonna be under .500
Pittsburg did same thing w Skynes took out with no hitter
I’m very discouraged with the every move with the team management/ the approach , the no urgency, it’s important that they get this straightened out immediately before we’re completely done!
Imanaga is not human. He’s Shota human.
100 more years 😂😂😂😂
If Kyle really wants to help the club he needs to retire and not worsen his lifetime stats.
who's he?

Yes he is. It’s all negociated already.
BINGO
Wait till next year
Good morning from Daytona Beach
Thanks for tuning in.

By the recent trades Jed have made, I am afraid of any trade he does. He always get fleeced.

@@Beatlesbec Sorry!
Go Cubs!
Jed and Carter are both notorious at sitting on your hands and doing nothing answering questions without answering questions. I’m tired of it.
