    I give Mick credit for saying the truth about the city of Oakland. Most of the media will not.

      Oakland is a crime-ridden liberal cesspool. It's dangerous to even be out at night there. But that's what they continue to vote for, so I don't have any sympathy. I don't blame the owner for abandoning it.

    He is 100% picking up the option after the season he had. No question ❓ he's not risking that much $$$. That shouldn't stop the Cubs from spending 💰 at all. If it does the Rickets needs to sell. Stop spending so much Cubs funds on politics

    Michael Busch has shown that he's an All-Star caliber 1B. Jed needs to make a deal with Seattle for an SP. That's one of maybe 3 teams that Suzuki might waive his NMC to join. 🎶Go Cubs Go 🎶

    Cody seems to get injured playing OF. Here's my idea. Play Cody full time at first and play Cassie in right. Trade Nico and Peredas. Then play Matt Shaw and Busch at second and third
    Just a thought

    You guys are funny, one day complaining Cubs not aiming to win, and one day you want give young guys chances! You think the young guys will be better than Cody next year? And if young people struggle like PCA this season, then you will say they did not get big bats to win! Cody is the most close thing you got to superstar level. I am not saying keeping Cody, what I try to say is if you want them develop young guys then if the team is not winning, don’t criticize them. You can’t have all your ways !!

    Bottom line is Jed Hoyer built a clunky roster, signed bad contracts and seems lost at the wheel. He’s also done some good to his credit like Imanaga (miracle). We’ll see if he can reel it in this offseason. Cubs are supposedly $900k over the luxury tax this year btw. Doh

    Belli 100x better than Dansby Heyward's contract. What a terrible mistake Jed made with Dan. Pray that Jed gets fire now! I rather NOT have Dansby (auto-out at Bat) and eat up his contract. Get rid of Nico the weakling who cannot hit homer consistently. Get rid of Happ too. And yes, get rid of Wisdom who can hit a ball. He hit one homer a year! Keep Suzuki as DH. M. Busch is still a question mark. He hits when no one is at base but make outs when there are runners on bases.

    • @DionysusAlS
      @DionysusAlS День назад

      The guy has an OPS of .800 the last 60 games. Maybe you should lay off him a little. He was playing injured most of the year and it affected him. Yeah, it wasn't smart to do that, but I salute his tenacity to tough it out and give the team whatever he had.

  • @retroextreme79
    @retroextreme79 2 дня назад +1

    He’s going to opt in. He didn’t play as well as he did the previous year. And one thing is for sure with Cody Bellinger you’re guaranteed one to two trips on the injured list each season. I’m sure he knows this as well. That’s why I think he’s going to opt in.

    • @DionysusAlS
      @DionysusAlS 2 дня назад

      I think he'll opt in for 2025, have a better season, then opt out for 2026. That works for the Cubs because by then, they'll need to let their young players sink or swim with the big league team. Either that, or trade them.

      I said he's done a good job of rebuilding the farm system. As far as his acquisitions go he's handcuffed. No way the Ricketies would have given him the green light on Trea Turner or Ohtani so in turn he has to settle for Dansby Swanson. I get that their contracts are ridiculous but so are the prices at the wrigley concession stands. I'd say find a way to move Happ and Parades. I dunno maybe they pulled the plug too soon on Morel. At least it seemed to me he was more passionate about being a Cub. The Happ situation: why the Cubs would give a guy showing a career .248 batting average so much leverage is beyond me! Maybe it's the President of Baseball Operations who needs to go first. 🤔
