This song adds to much variety to the album. It catches you right away, it combines so many elements of what makes the band great.
This and In The Snow are crazy good
Vocals and the catchy melody is first then you try to decipher the lyrics. Love rhcp, so many great songs.
It's like the Watchu' Thinkin' B-side. The shift in tone from pre-chorus to chorus is breathtaking.

This album is pretty much more experimental than the last one. A lot of hits in unlimited love, especially radio friendly ones, but this new album is what i think a lot of chili peppers’ fans where expecting in terms of bringing different references, including john’s solo career, and prospecting the directions the band may take from now on compared to what was left over when john left. Hope to see the band experimenting and freely composing even more, towards expanding their boundaries and affecting more people.
Makes you wonder how it might compare to say if The Beatles or Pink Floyd hadn't split up and continued creating.

The best thing about Chili Peppers is they never do the same thing but they never don’t sound like themselves. I might come under fire for this but that’s why I liked Klinghoffer stuff too- it’s not the RHCP I grew up on but that’s the point. I like how much they surprise and engage. They always have. But yes, god, it’s good to have Frusciante.
