I love how Anthony and Flea have evolved together. Flea, finding new textures and exploring playful patterns. AK, learning to adapt his voice to different sub genres and embracing the maturity of his voice with interesting vocal experiments. John and Chad have always been monster musicians.

The vocal melodies create rich, complex layers reminiscent of Stadium Arcadium. This has to be the kind of thing Rick was referring to in early interviews when he said that people who loved the SA sound were really gonna love what they hear this year. My ears are happy.
Yes!! Except the bass in the verses reminds me SO MUCH of BSSM in all the right ways. It’s a wonderful blend of many eras of Chili Peppers that lands perfectly.

Yeah, I love this song precisely because of these points. They're the representation of pure RHCP magic. The chorus also has such a nice melody, so soft and so gentle, contrasting quite a bit from the rest of the song.

Congratulations! Only concert i ever saw was rhcp, but in the window of no John, wasnt the same, great show no doubt, but still gotta see them again with all the members dear to my heart.
My guy, you're in for a treat. I'm pretty much on the same boat as you, but I got to see them for the first time at Miami in August this year. It was amazing to have John back, flea joking as usual and Chad killing it on the drums.

Same man, feels like a fever dream to see Frusicante back. Funny story, I live in Singapore and last year they hadn't declared any Singapore shows, so I decided to go to Australia to see them. 3 weeks after I booked my tickets, they announced the Singapore show 😅🤣 ended up seeing them twice in a week 🤷♂️😬🤣🤣

John says its 7/4 and they 'break' into 3/4 + 4/4 because is more familiar to the ear than 7/4
It's a compound rhythm of a 6/4 bar + 2 bars of 4/4 in the verses. You can notate it as 14/8 or 7/4 but it will seem confusing because of its asymmetric nature. A more typical (not compound) 7/4 rhythm is done in Ethiopia, you would instantly hear the difference

Bella, along with 'Peace and Love', has been added to my favourite love songs of all time. A free spirit story that is all about doing no harm and simply corresponding to the universe with complete love. The chorus is hauntingly beautiful but in the most warm and welcoming way :)
