Man you gotta keep making these. I know they don't get the views they deserve, but I'm learning so much from watching you and honestly they're really therapeutic for the old anxiety. Bout to join twitch just to see more
Jon, I've really been struggling to keep at the music lately. Just a lot of trouble between financials and being in a new place. I just wanted to let you know I really appreciate these videos. Seeing you enjoying yourself making some fresh tunes is so infectious and it really keeps me going creatively through the lows sometimes. Stay blessed, man. :)
It can always be tough when life throws you curveballs. Luckily, there's music making tools for every occasion. Even stuff on the phone get the job done, now. Dont force yourself but when you're ready to do something, use whatever you can.
I recently decided to box up all my synths and samplers and go back into the box with Reason 12. This video just made me pull the Octatrack back out. Sick beat man!
Never tried really getting into sampling but man.. your channel is really inspiring me to challenge myself to try and get out of the daw. Amazing lessons and your connection to music is really raw 💪🏽
🔥l 🔥i 🔥t 🔥 just got my OT two days ago after lurking on it for a few years and really happy to see this new wave of OT hip hop emerging :) thanks for the great vibes here
Can’t say thanks enough for sharing your knowledge and skills. Only a month into figuring out the OT and have learned more from your videos than the damn manual or anybody else by far!
dude i always love seeing you cook up - been watching since those old 2017ish streams w zeroh and devonwho and them! love seein the vids here since im not on twitch as much anymore haha
Great beat and video! Would you consider bringing the s950 in a video again. It would be nice to see and hear a bit about your process with that and the octatrack.
Love your videos bro! I was wondering if you had any tips for pops and clicks when slicing samples in octatrack. i always here pops and clicks even when i use zero crossing
This is the shit. Now then. I work in GB and Logic, but love Shadow, Dilla and all that. Never gone dawless since the old four-track days when I was in a guitar band. Do I go Octatrack or Polyend Tracker?
Jon you need a Bandcamp page to release all this heat you have been cooking up on the octa….first beat tape name should be something like “Octane”😅 🔥🔥🔥
Hey Jon your amazing! Can I ask if you still have the Analog Rhythm. Im an Octatrack user but cant decide whether to get one and leave the Octatrack for drums? I watched your video on the two together and amazing stuff. Love your studio set up.
Inspiring. I’ve had the OT for 10 years and I’m sitting here looking at it in a whole new light. Respect.
I love hearing this. It's a very malleable machine
I second that.
@@weepwow let me get that if you not gonna use it ;)

If only all these beats you make were on your channel, then these will make fine addittions to my music collection.
Beautiful stuff
Can’t say thanks enough for sharing your knowledge and skills. Only a month into figuring out the OT and have learned more from your videos than the damn manual or anybody else by far!

I miss the old vids when you were picture in picture. It showed what you were doing on the octatrack more
Might have something for you soon
It’s making me feel emotions.
Still trying to figure mine out. Need to put in more time though. Seems very similar to learning an instrument.
It's like learning anything really. Good thing it's fun to practice
This is the shit. Now then. I work in GB and Logic, but love Shadow, Dilla and all that. Never gone dawless since the old four-track days when I was in a guitar band. Do I go Octatrack or Polyend Tracker?
You're making me want an Octatrack.
The gold coins came flying out of the Octo-Track!

I know you busy dude but if we could get a new beat tape for 2023 I'd be a very happy human.
That would be a blessing in this shitshow of a time we’re currently passing through

are these breaks? you ever program drums like that with the octratrack?
I chop the breaks and sequence them. Check the previous video for one shots
Where do you get your recordings from to slice? Is there a site that you are using or are you recording records?
How / where did you get those samples into the Octatrak ?
i'm surprised they haven't made a MK3 yet...
