- This is a small "best of" compilation I've put together for Battlebots competitor UltraViolent, during their brief appearance in the 2016 season.
The song used in this compilation is Electro Fight by Kwon.

Over the course of the season, UltraViolent faced off against Creepy Crawlies, Hypershock, and Son Of Whyachi.

While it didn’t do great, I can’t deny that Ultraviolet was one of the coolest looking bots I had ever seen. I also loved the way it would use its lifting forks to flail around. I wonder what ever happened to its builders.

Really good looking bot, with an interesting weapon. Unfortunate that they had to face SOW and Hypershock, would've liked to see how they would do against a more passive opponent. Would be nice to see it again, have the team said anything about rebuilding it?
Life is cruel, but the BattleBots Fight Selection Committee is cruelerererer. Build a pretty-bot or a clever-bot and it'll be smashed, 'cause we don't take kindly to no fancy-pants hed-yoo-cayted college boys round here, no sir.

Ultraviolent, wrecks, stewbot, the obwalden overlord, bad kitty, bucktooth burl, creepy crawlies, denis the non-venomous watersnake, Chromefly, disposable hero, and big stick.
I don’t care that they fall into different weight classes. This needs to happen. Even if it means resurrecting demolished robots.
And then watch them all get demolished by HellaChopper, which promptly catches fire and the whole studio has to be evacuated

Cruel to make it fight SOW
I mean, it had a wedge, and plenty of wheels; in theory, it's the perfect design for horizontal spinners. It's not the selection committee's fault that Ultraviolent didn't fight like they thought it would.
I hope someday UltraViolent come back. An underrated and not a bad design, just not well executed like the team hoped. Can't blame them when the flipper system went dead and basically they had to work with a few cards short of a deck in this case.

But on the real, ultraviolent at first looked like the coolest bot I've ever seen at the time. Blue rays on the front, the "sticks" to flip the bot. But besides that, um.... what is this bot supposed to do? I mean what's the point of wheels if they're just not gonna use it but instead flop around? It got a second chance (somehow) and still performed the same way. Like I said, I welcome all newcomers to join the field but if you aren't gonna put on a show, then that's a no no, *cough* *cough* daisy cutter *cough* *cough*
I'm not here to be, rude or disrespectful to anyone, I'm just here to share my own personal opinions
If I remember correctly, Ultraviolent had a flipper in the middle of the bot, but it never got to work, so they had to rely on the lifting forks. However, in the first match against Son of Whyachi and Creepy Crawlies, it couldn't move because of a design flaw that left it high-centered. As for its fight against Hypershock, the only reason it got another chance was because Hellachopper had to withdraw due to technical issues. During this fight, something had happened to the arms after the first few hits and caused them to constantly swing, meaning they couldn't move well.
As for Daisy Cutter, their weapon broke in their fight against Deep Six and Kingpin, so they were essentially a bad rambot when they fought against Double Jeopardy and Foxtrot.
@@mctg4362 I thought hellachopper didn't compete because the safety team deemed it too dangerous. There was no weapon speed limit back then, and I think hellachopper could go up to 400mph (idk) and the staff told them you gotta lower the speed but the team couldn't go lower to what they wanted so they were pretty much kicked off? I mean the safety team can disqualify a bot at anytime if it's deemed too dangerous to the arena according to the rules. And god dam it, hypershock vs hellachopper would have been an awesome fight.
@@jonathanf2392 Yeah you are right. I checked the Hellachopper situation and it appears that despite the fact they went in flames twice, they managed to get clearance. However, they were disqualified due to concerns about the BattleBox being unable to contain its weapon. Also, although the idea of Hellachopper and Hypershock fighting is amazing, we never saw how Hellachopper would work. For all we know, its weapon could have broke after the first hit. On the other hand, if it works similar to how Hellachopper works in Coleslaw and the Barangoat's Battlebots Reborn series, then Hypershock vs Hellachopper might've been one of the best fights of the entire series as a whole.
@@mctg4362 not just that, if hellachopper worked, it could have been SOW on steroids. Unfortunately with battlebots disqualifying it simple because it's "too dangerous", it feels like they're never gonna do a powerful horizontal spinners against each other. The fight card format is supposed to provide dream matchups but after 2 years of fans asking for tombstone vs SOW, we never got it. And it's also the reason why I still think the last chance rumble was rigged. (But that's a different topic for another time)
@@jonathanf2392 Yeah, if Hellachopper worked as intended, then _may god have mercy on those who dare fight it_ .
As for the horizontal vs horizontal issue, although I understand and 100% agree that there should be fight against SOW and Tombstone, safety should come first.
As for the last chance rumble, can you explain your reasoning? (If you have the time of course) I thought the only controversy was Duck losing and Bombshell winning.

The way I see it, just because a robot is on the receiving end of the damage, doesn't stop it being some of the best and most spectacular moments!

It was really cool battlebot, its shame it never moved in the entire show

The saddest part is that this was the same team that brought Hellachoppa in, only to have it DQ’d because it was “too dangerous” due to having a 6’ diameter hammer wheel spinning somewhere around 2k RPMs.
And this is what they had to come back with.
Not the same team. Team Hellachopper/Team Half-Life were known for Atomic Wedgie back in the CC era. Team TI Joe made UltraViolent.

It had a flipper on the front which never really worked and the lifting forks to the side as far as I can remember. Absolutely beautiful looking robot, shame they weren't able to move in either of their fights

Can we create a separate division for control-style bots? I feel like that would allow builds like UltraViolent, Petunia and Overhaul a better chance to shine than to pit them against Son Of Friggin' Whyachi

there’s actually a reason why ultraviolent didn’t move:
the wheels are not touching the ground
All show no go. Looks mean and everything, the moment the driver starts activating its spinning lifter arm for no apparent reason that's when it all failed.
Should rename it to UltraPeaceful. Literally just dancing in peace only. What a joke!
I think the driver just sucked. Arms going the wrong way and just no timing.
