The Gojo figure being so extravagant while just being a cup noodle stopper is so accurate to his character 😅
Exactly! 🤣
I have yet to watch Jujutsu Kaisen, but I can't help but think he is saying
"Yowai mo"
Cause we are too weak to keep the lid down for three minutes
I kinda want one. 😅
@@percival2188 “I, alone, am the honored one” 🧿🫦🧿
I like my octopus topper🐙. But I need this device just to show it off. 😂
it is more like a novelty toy than an actual functional vending machine.
It really is. About 3x the price of my Keurig, but half the robotics and intelligence.
thats japan in a nutshell
Its a similar ilk to some Gumball and snack machines, it's sort of aimed at the home arcade/Man Cave market where you might put your own tokens or change in to get something for fun, you could probably set it to free vend with a bit of fettling.
@@indigodarkwolf To be fair, the price Aki mentioned is the aftermarket price because it's longer available. Chances are the original MRP would be a way less, about ¥10,000-20,000 is my guess.
yep, an overpriced water cooker with some overly complicated cup-noodle storage
i never thought it was even possible to find a $600 ramen vending machine in general
It's a tiny personal vending machine. A real one would be $7,000+
Vending Machines themselves aren't cheap a specialized one is even less cheap. xD
@@garrettspivey but why would you even need a personal vending machine????
this really made me say "why japan?"
@@evilsturn when you don’t have anymore storage/space in your cabinets to put your ramen or other stuff in
If it, like, dropped the cup in place and pierced the lid to pour water in, then it would be fairly cool. Now it's just a big storage rack for cups with an integrated water heater tap.
for 1000 dollars
@@john-hanner Ouch!!!
Like a Keurig but for cup noodles. You’re on to something kid.
yea thats what I was expecting from reading the title
so basically it's a glorified water heater that costs 500 dollars?
i want two!😂
It is a mini storage aswell☝😂
@@wasgehtabmv one that scams you even with the official currency😂
i guess it's just about the aesthetic 😭😭
you aren’t getting the point. you are supposed to put it outside to profit
@@starlietz no your not
About the cover stoppers for your cup noodles: the larger one would work better in most cases because as you open up the cup you put a roll on that foil. When held down on just one spot the other end might flip up a bit and let out the heat - or when held down at the open tab...both sides would have done so. We had good luck using coasters for the purpose but hey...the style counts!
Gonna shock you and apparently 200 other people. You don't tear the whole top off normally, you peel just 1/3 and most 1/2.
Well ideally that's how it should be. On this example that wouldn't work (vending systems) and we used to get our hot water from the coffee machine we had
And not all the time you'd consume the cup right away and would love to not get dirt into your noodles as you do
You peel the whole top off!?!? Are you a mad man!? 1/3-1/2 is all you need.
You *have* to...if you use that machine or almost any vending machine out there
Use a proper kettle and you can get away with just a thumb's size of an opening for it
@@acywei still it doesn't stay closed after
I would buy something like this if they automated it some more. Like, make it mechanically open the cup ramen, bring it to the hot water dispenser area, then set the timer, and make a noise when cooked. All with a push of single button, or drop of a single coin. Even if it cost $10,000, if it did those job well, this would be super cool to have. But this right here is just a bulky hot water dispenser thats less useful than a cheap Keurig.
Ya u needed it to open the bottle and u just watch the all mighty AI hands
this is what coffee vending machines would do, it'd drop a cup and then fill it with coffee. i wish it was more popular like it was before the 2000's. i dont remember the last time i saw one
So fun fact: I’m allergic to nuts. Like pretty dang bad. And when I was younger we won this weekly mini completion thing, and we were allowed to pick anything under 5$. I was really hungry I guess so I chose the Curry cup o noodles since there weren’t the OG or beef flavor.
I’m like “damn I got cup o noodles for free I’m feelin on top of the world. Instead, I have a few bites of a pretty good cup o noodles, only to realize that my neck was itchy. So apparently, Curry flavored cup o noodles…HAS PEANUTS IN IT. AND THE CONTAINS SECTION WASNT EVEN IN BOLDED/ BIG ENOUGH TEXT TO SEE EASILY. So what turned from a 3$ meal turned into a 200$ trip to the hospital. Thanks cup o noodles you the man.
Peanuts are not nuts, they're legumes
@@snapdragnful well yes, but the majority of people with a nut allergy also has a peanut allergy, and you usually just group peanuts with the tree nut category cause it’s easier, and more well known, even if not factual.
you just not eat peanuts enough
-asian dad
As a fellow peanut allergy haver, I am way too familiar with barely visible allergen labels. That's so scary, glad you're okay!
I generally hate most of them. In many cases, they don‘t say if they are vegetarian and the ingredients are printed really small.
I always wanted one of these ramen vending machines I'm surprised you even found one!
I feel like that would be a good gift for Chris’ ramen shop 😆
She literally bought a 600$ extra rare cup of noodles wending mashine and said "maybe we will let our friends to keep it" WHAT
Content lol
ngl, these mini vending machines were always so fascinating and cute to me. It's on my bucket list to get one someday xD
Chris' shop could use one so people could actually eat ramen there lol, knowing him he'd lock the coins behind a story wall though lmao
yup quite surprised they never thought about it, or maybe it's just too much for him, considering how crowd his sets already
i was thinking about the "Why Japan?" series a couple of days ago and hoping i'd see one soon. Thank you Aki for delivering. 🤩
Aki, can you add Emirichu in your "WHY JAPAN?" Series next time?
I would be shock if Aki agreed
Yesss that would be so cool!
That would be so coolll
Yes
YESSS
Aki "I don't know where we can really put this"
Chris "So hear me out I have this ramen shop..."
it reminded me of an easy bake oven or something but for ramen. it was cool but they should let you use any coin. like how at chuck e cheese they let you use either quarters or tokens. lol
I was thinking the same thing.
Japanese products are the equivalent of the products you see on Chinese ads on TikTok
B A S E D
The fact that so few of these were made is surprising, since I'm sure a lot of people would like something like this just for the novelty.
Although what's even more surprising is that it still somehow costs less than a Mizore Shirayuki statue...
You will be surprised how much men of culture are willing to spend on their favorite waifus.
@@Wolfedge75 True, but that doesn't mean we should have to spend that much...
So few were made as it was a prize from Nissin for one of their many cup noodle lottery competitions. It was never sold in shops, any that are now are from the original prize winners or resellers.
@@importaku They could've made this a mass release product while the one for the contest had some distinct gimmick like gold plating. That's usually how other companies handle contest-exclusive products.
I just find this hilarious because the whole point of cup noodles is they're cheap and convenient and this thing is such an expensive hassle lmao. It reminds me of the Terry Green machine from Tim and Eric.
It's a good day when Aki uploads!
I'd rather have Gojo sit on my face but on top of the ramen is good too
Lol
Bahahahaha 👌😂
i wonder how much an ACTUAL vending machine would go for ?
Add a zero on the end and you might be close.
There’s one going for about 3,000 right now but imagine the shipping fees☠️
Close to 4k-8k for a full sized vending machine. Second hand probably cheaper also depends on the type.
I think @AbroadInJapan needs the vending machine for his ramen shop so he actually can serve ramen 😉
i kind of thought for 600 dollars it would automatically open the cup noodles, heat and then pour the water in and serve it instead of just pressing multiple buttons manually. essentially its a electrical water kettle with a dispensing noodle holder.
I love this series so much!!!! This ep especially was just so chill and funny luv you guys
That absolutely has to go in Chris’s studio.
The most adorable vending machine ever along with anime figures acting as noodle cup holders, love this video 💖
I love your Why Japan series. They always make me smile. Thanks for doing these.
I love the Gojo cup noodle stopper.😊💙 It’s so accurate to him…I love it so much! Wow, that’s an awesome cup noodle machine there Aki! I wish I could have actual cup noodles, and we have similar things here in Canada. But, I bet you, they’re not as good as that.
So adorable. And who else loves Aki's outfit? Just me or? That cup cover. Why is Japan so dayum cuteee. Lol 💙💜💚🙌 Haha them noodles.
Noodle stopper figures are also great as shelf decorations, I have a few and seeing them sit on the edge of your shelf is a really cute decoration. Feels more lively you could say HAHA.
Not fair-those cups have waaaay more stuff in them than the ones they sell in the USA!
The USA doesn’t deserve good things
Right?! And probably more flavorful too!
Yes, cup noodles sold in Japan are generally delicious. Like really good. My favorite one was Nissin Seafood, it had actual shrimps and pieces of squid in it! The ones they sell in my country, even by the same brand, just taste like plastic, salt and sadness.
@@firefly618 lol!
@@firefly618 ur funny dude
This episode is the best! I want cup noodles now! 😫 🍜
I missed this series 😭
Me too😭
Love the video and keep up the great work aki
I'm happy that there's a new episode of WHY JAPAN it's my favorite thing to watch on your channel akidearest!
WHYJapan and the budget cosplay are my favorite.
@@bacon5453 Yeah!
The Anya smile stopper is something I didn’t know I needed. That smug look can’t be rivaled at this current time.
I would 100% have that on my kitchen counter and yes I would barely use it 🤣
That final clip of Joey just watching/recording Aki eat ramen from afar, KILLS me!
If you had a big kitchen, this would be a really cool display piece! Either way I think it’s cool as hell!
Very cool video! I love ramen and ramen topper figures, but the figures are sooooo expensive here in the states.
I'm glad to see that y'all are well and healthy 💙💙
"Oooh, Daddy's a big liar" - I love that show 😁can't wait for seasons 2, 3, and 4 lol
Japan’s creativity is off the hook
I love noodle stopper figures haha I have a Hiei one and looks so nice with my 25th anniversary Kurama haha and it's functional as a noodle weight! So versatile! Aww man...might have to go get me some cup noodles after this
Joey on a diet?!?! Blasphemy!!
I too never heard of this little ramen vending machine until now.
I'm guessing he and Chris are in it together. Chris said he was doing a diet for some spartan race in October I think
I love the Ramen Vending Machine! I wish I can order it wu
Thank You akidearest you and anime man eating cup noodles got me craving and made me went to the asian market to get cup noodles the curry and seafood brand. its so good! cant wait to try the real authentic one in japan japan when it opens up one of these days. ✌
There is actually a full size version of this machine I used in Japan. When I went to college here in Japan, they had one. Super convenient. Don’t know if I’d need a mini version in my house though. I bet though it would do really well in a share house or a hotel.
A cool novelty item for sure. She is Anya noodles.
I love “why Japan” series
Bro
i get so hyped when i hear the why japan intro
I’m making cup noodles right now because of you.
Chris's studio seems like a good place for that contraption
I recently discovered the curry one and it made me love cup noodle!
Super cool! If you don’t end up keeping it and AJ doesn’t, it would look cool in Chris’ Ramen shop 🤣
Lol what was that baby with spaghetti in his clothes at the start?
I got completely off of Facebook, and I'm so happy to find you here and subscribe. Now I need Joey's channel..
I do have two Ghost Inn noodle stoppers. They just hang out around my tv since I don’t use them for cup noodles.
I kinda wanted to watch aki finish eating her noodles. It looked delicious. 😭 I'm on a diet too and it's 2am rn but I really want that cup noodle.
Bro I forgot you moved and thought you were just in a room we've never seen. 😂
I watched a Japanese RUclipsr who made food videos who has one of these. Stumbled on the channel just this year, I think, but don't remember their name. Final Fantasy XV has forever ruined the words "Cup Noodle" for me though and all I can think about is Gladio's advertisement for it. And Square Enix parodying one of their game trailers with everyone also being obsessed with Cup Noodle. And did I mention you even get a Cup Noodle helmet in the game? 😂
The only item I bought from Atai Kuji was an AOT towel of Eren which was too thin to be used so I use it to decorate my bed. I got a discount coupon from AX 2019 which I used to get the towel. not long after this, they informed me that they would no longer be doing Universal orders and only would be doing orders in Japan.
The vending machine is convenient
Well that’s the one thing that could stop me from going to ramen restaurants…for like 3 meals? I think that’s how many cups fit in there? So back to ramen shops on day 2! lol
6:59 I anime figured used to sit on cup of noodle.....Japan, you've done it again! You geniuses!
I would say Chris Broad should try to get his hands on one of these for his studio, but idk if that'd work with his health plans.
I actually have many noodle stopper figures. I have a small windowsill at my office for work so I use noodle stop figures as decoration
Holllyyyy ramoon dollii I need this😂 and love the content. 600th comment let's go idk why I felt this is awesome
I got a few Kimestsu no Yaiba noodle stopper figures from the arcade by my house. I use them all the time. The Rengoku one is complete overkill when it comes to size, especially since his cape flares out behind him.
Amazing akidearest, fantastic job.
I have to try curry cup noodles now. ❤️ Love Joeys shirt!
Love the orange spice gamcube in the background with the matching gba adapter
The whole point of a vending machine is that you don’t have to stock the product…if you can stock the product, why get a machine?? That looks like something for an office or break room.
Wait.... how do you think the items get into vending machines??
I'm confused do you think that vending machines just automatically bring the objects into existence
Just thought "hmm let me see if Aki made a video”
This reminds me that you should try to see if you can purchase a gachapon
I used to love going to the supermarket because my auntie would let me pick a toy from one of the machines and I think it would be really cool if you got to review one
I've got two of those ramen figures of Joker and Akechi from Persona 5 and while I've never used them for ramen, they're awesome for sitting on your shelf!
On how I read the title of this video, I thought there was a ramen cup that cost 600$ just chilling inside a Japanese vending machine and Aki bought it💀
This thing reminds me of the mini washing machines that were made to actually work and clean doll clothes and you just rolled the crank in the back after adding soap and water
That Mario Button up Joey has on is SO CUTE!!!
Wow i never thought i would see an Anya and Gojo crossover
Peak content
This feels like a good item for an office!
😯It’s a piggy bank and noodle dispenser all in one very smart Japan! Lol 😂
0:41 Was NOT expecting to hear the Halo 2 opening theme song, lmao.
That's a very convenient kind of appliances and there is the origin of the gacha like but it is more like a vending machine. Though a lot of pressing of buttons but the design is very advanced and had a lot of mind to put to use.
This looked awesome!.
I have that Gojo figure and I just sit it on my bookshelf. I didn’t even know it was a noodle stopper. 🤔
NEW VIDEO WOOOOO
And it's about ramen 🍜
Joey’s dieting for Creator Clash 2 Electric Boogaloo, calling it now
That would look amazing in Chris’s set up 😍
I don’t eat Cup Noodle very often but I have a mighty need for that stupid vending machine. It’s so cute!
Weird update: I had a scare with caffeine today because I drank too much coffee and Curry Cup Noodle basically saved me by replacing all the sodium that I had lost during my caffeine high.
The Anya noodle figure is awesome. I'm getting one for my lovely wife for her birthday. Thanks. I needed some ideas.
All I heard was - "45 TikTok's later" *In the Spongebob intermission voice* XD
Regarding those stoppers,
I personally just take the cardboard sleeve that the cup noodles come in, and wrap it back around the cup. Just make sure you open it from the bottom so as to not rip it.
One of my favorite things to watch
There should be a version 2 of this with dispensers for condiments and toppings. I'd be all over that and probably pay 60000 Yen unironically for it at MSRP. The machine is hella cool though, so maybe I'll get it one day when I have more room for stuff to put into the kitchen. I have yet to plan where to put the rice cooker I plan to buy. :D
"that's such an overkill for your noodles" because it's not already overkill to buy a fandom reference whose sole purpose is to hold the foil closed when hashi do the job
I love aki videos
This is amazing also what was Aki humming
everybody gangster until the cup noodle stopper falls into the cup.
That reman vending machine looked like something I would see in a break room when the workers clocked at lunch.
