Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! Which small camper under 4,000 GVWR did you like best? Please say hello by leaving a comment below! Also, please feel free to ask any questions or just tell us about yourselves. We want to get to know you and share our RV experiences.
The Airstream Basecamp has been a favorite of mine for a long time - on the surface, I love the aesthetic, but I also love that it has a usable kitchen and bathroom, and the sleeping space is pretty spacious too.
Aesthetically it was fave for a long time. In person though, I'd say it's a one person camper or weekend camper. And everyone needs to be under 6' and average build, otherwise it's going to be tight.
Once more thank you for the excellent review and thank you for being one of the very few reviewers/vloggers that sit at the dinettes. Most seem to do the toilet test and some lay in the bed. But y’all are the only reviewers that routinely do all of them. 👍🏻
At 6'1 I can stand upright in my 2021 ozark 1660fqx Absolutely love it and have no buyers remorse. Prefect couples camper. Thanks for the plethora of information you put out! ❤ Oh yeah, the basecamp looks amazing!
I agree, I'm 5'3". If you could attach a Lagun table to one side, maybe some custom cushions and a custom mattress It would work for a solo traveler. And you wouldn't have to rearrange the dinette all the time.
Some interesting options here. I think I still prefer my Intech Sol Horizon. If you can find one that's a couple years old for ~30k it's a great value. Good quality durable full aluminum frame construction. Has a real, useable sink. Awesome huge wrap around window at the dinette area. A very roomey wet bath. Full 60x80 queen bed. Only thing I don't like is how the windows open, they are "school bus" style, not easy to open/close after they get moist from condensation. Not sure if they've upgraded them since my 2019 model. 19' and weighs around 3300lb empty.
Absolutely love the retro feel of the windows and layout of the last one! SO much more homey-feeling. I'd be willing to give up a little living/kitchen space for a wider bathroom, tho.
I CAN'T choose, dang it guys you got me this time. I loved the first one, then you hit us with the clean RFI, but then ended it with that retro 50s/60s micro trailer.....
At least in the Airstream $50,000 camper you get bungee cords to hold stuff in. I understand it will last forever unlike some other campers but that's just too much of an initial investment for me personally
I need one under 3000 pounds with a queen size bed and a full size fridge. Convection oven and big sink would be a plus 😁 That KZ Sportsman Classic 170MB looks really good, but a little heavy.
😂 Wouldn't that be nice under 3,000lbs! I was just telling Mike I wish someone would ask us to design a small camper floor plan! Keeping my eyes 👀 out for one! Thank you for watching our RV tour and commenting.
Maybe I'm just old but there are so many places in trailers of all sizes that missed the opportunity to use drop leaf extensions. That nipped off table corner could have been a mini drop leaf. Fold down to get in, pop up for eating and pop back down to exit. Also extending some pop up counter for prep. I saw one camper that put one on the kitchen counter, but it should have been 6 inches longer.🤔🤷♀️
I am shocked at the prices for these small trailers.... I have seen the Airstream in person and if it did not have its name it would be about 15k-20k less expensive. You'd spend all your time working just to pay for these trailers that will get used a few times a year. It would be better to find a used one that the owner realized that they made a mistake in buying it and get a discounted price for it....
Hi Steven. I hate to say it but we really don't know that answer! My first thought is heater or fan but it's below a towel bar. 😮 Sorry we couldn't help. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Unfortunately we weren't able to go to Tampa this year. We were celebrating a new grandson to the family. But years back we did these videos that might help. ruclips.net/video/wr6oZXk2ajE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/kImPFX654QA/видео.html Thanks for watching and commenting.
I wish you would consider whether or not the beds could be used as twin beds as well as converted into larger beds. Then measurements for the twin beds could be given also, thanks.
Sorry we didn't provide that information. Might be able to check the manufacturers website for details that we didn't include. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@michaelgehrke8272 We do have a video coming our shortly featuring 3 travel trailers with twin beds. I'll share the details but you have to promise to watch the video 🤣 Gulf Stream Envision 21TBD, Winnebago Minnie 2327TB and Airstream International 23FBT. This might give you a start.
Airstream really stands behind their product. They have a lot of touches in their trailers. Plus the basecamp has a higher clearance for light off-road use. Visit an airstream dealer, they are very nice and do not pressure you at all. The finishes in their trailers are just so nice.
You mentioned a small adult in the first camper but the measurement was 5’11”. I’m 5’9” and don’t consider myself short. The second camper you measured 6’. Now this was side to side but if it’s only one person that would be fine for us shorties. 😒
In the first camper you mention, was the "small adult" reference about sleeping at the dinette or standing inside the RV? Typically we refer to "small adult" when sleeping in a location beside the bed. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Those are pretty hard to come by. We have a website article that might help. Thanks for watching and commenting. rvblogger.com/blog/best-small-campers-under-2000-lbs-with-bathrooms
We don't always know the MSRP on an RV prior to shooting video. Not to mention a cost of under $20K is a little harder to find. We do have a find of travel trailers without bathrooms if you are interested in watching that. ruclips.net/video/fHWH3aO9R44/видео.html We'll definitely keep a look our for you. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Some people don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I would love to find a manufacturer that just provides the basics, then the owner can personalize. Not a bad idea! Thank you for watching our tour video and commenting Jim!
The RPod has nothing going for it. The bed is too short, the toilet has no elbow room, the microwave is way too low, there is no counter space, and it just gets worse. Whoever designed this obviously never goes camping.
That r-pod would not work for me or probably anybody with a cat. There is a 100% chance that my cat would find its way under the bed and would sneak out when I opened the exterior storage and I'd be chasing my cat around a national park. I just can't ever consider the nu camp with that ridiculous price tag. I can buy the KZ and a Truck for the price of the nu camp

It is a great looking camper with the most important camping features. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I love them all! These small campers are perfect.
Definitely tick off all the boxes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great to see the small campers !
Thank you and thanks for watching and commenting.

So glad you found an RV that fits your needs ...and height! Thanks for watching and commenting
Favorite is Nu camp because I’m 5’ 0” and I could easily make up 1/2 the bed
Me too!
I agree, I'm 5'3". If you could attach a Lagun table to one side, maybe some custom cushions and a custom mattress It would work for a solo traveler. And you wouldn't have to rearrange the dinette all the time.
Oh my gosh me too!!! That’s the one I love the best 😊 I could actually reach everything despite my shortness 😂😂
🙋5'1" and completely understand!!! 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting.
nuCamp is the best one! Finally, a RV that knows how to do lighter and brighter colors. I'm going to check it out now.
nuCamp does a great job making a small space usable, for sure! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.

That bathroom is pretty snug. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Fave is the KZ sportsman. I love the queen size bed and the bathroom size is acceptable. It’s enough space for me to be able to live in.
It's definitely a good floor plan for a camper that size. Thanks for watching and commenting.
My favorite is the sportsman. I like the little extra room in that camper.
Great floor plan choice! Thanks for watching and commenting.
My favorite is Basecamp, but for practical reasons i would buy the KZ.. Love your videos Thank you!!
Thank you for the kinds words. I totally get "practical reasons". Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the first one for all of it`s features and floor plan but mostly because it`s the only one I could afford.
Definitely understandable. I was glad to be able to provide a price variety. Thanks for watching and commenting.
The Nucamp is the one . Love the seats because I would use 1/2 of it to sleep, 1/2 for dinning.
The nuCamp is a great RV.Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the basecamp. I think it would do the best camping in the forest!
It is definitely a great off-road or self contained RV. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I sure liked the little NuCamp , just my size, could also be pulled with a half ton pickup ,thanks Mike and Suzan, good job,
You are so welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I CAN'T choose, dang it guys you got me this time. I loved the first one, then you hit us with the clean RFI, but then ended it with that retro 50s/60s micro trailer.....
Lots of great choices! Glad we stumped you! 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting!
The KZ Sportsmen Classic is the most comfortable and spacious camper out of the lot, ironically its also the most affordable!
Agree! Great use of space with the Murphy bed and awesome bathroon! Thanks for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Of the 4 i take the sportsman , countertop space and drawers bonus points that they can be taken outside for grilling and left outside
Great point! Thanks for watching and commenting.
At least in the Airstream $50,000 camper you get bungee cords to hold stuff in. I understand it will last forever unlike some other campers but that's just too much of an initial investment for me personally
Very fair. Sometimes the smaller campers are more expensive than the larger ones. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@RVBlogger I'm still waiting to see those videos of you guys out camping. Living that RV life that some of us worker bees aren't ready to jump into
Be safe out there, keep an eye on the weather as you travel.

Wow that third bathroom is so tiny!
RVs really sacrifice bathroom space in a small camper. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Love that little Barefoot!
Great choice! Thanks for watching and commenting.

I agree! That feature provides so many benefits! Thanks for watching and commenting.
The Rpod has a crooked face plate on the receptacle underneath the stove which just makes it look cheap
Unfortunately all RVs have slight imperfections. Thabnks for watching and commenting.
I like the KZ Sportsman Classic 170 MB There's only two of us and it has lots of room the others are to small
It's a great floor plan. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Forest River is interesting. Great that it has solar, bad that microwave is below the counter.
It's like a game of tetris in a small camper 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting.
The 1st one I liked. R-POD had no storage. Barefoot ok. AIR STREAM nice
All great points! Thanks for watching and commenting.
#1 will be my fav 😊
Great choice! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video Mike and Susan, thanks, but alas, I'm a bit too tall.
Thank you! We plan to search for RVers for taller folks at our next RV show. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great job Mike and Susan as always also check out voodoo family travels
Thank you! ❤ We'll check them out!
On the Airstream, we’re you able to turn around to shower? That looked tight to shower in.
It's a tight wet bath for sure.
Just love y'all !!! Roc on!!!
Thanks so much Katherine! We appreciate your support! ❤
Great video!!!!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'm from Minnesota and we consider icehouses as 4season campers, what are your thoughts, have you ever thought about reviewing any icehouses?
We would love to review icehouses unfortunately haven't seen any in our travels. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks fro watching and commenting.
Basecamp and because it can go on rougher roads & not fall apart.
The ability to go off road is a great feature! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I love the RVS but these would be more comfortable for the three of us.
Would or wouldn't be? Thanks for watching and commenting.
I am shocked at the prices for these small trailers.... I have seen the Airstream in person and if it did not have its name it would be about 15k-20k less expensive. What is on the wall below the mirror in the Barefoot trailer? Is it a heater or fan?
Hi Steven. I hate to say it but we really don't know that answer! My first thought is heater or fan but it's below a towel bar. 😮 Sorry we couldn't help. Thanks for watching and commenting.
too small, but cute! thanks

I like the R-pod the best .It would be easier to pull with the size of truck I have .
Certainly has important features in a camper that size. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Is airstream all marketing or is really worth double?
Airstream really stands behind their product. They have a lot of touches in their trailers. Plus the basecamp has a higher clearance for light off-road use. Visit an airstream dealer, they are very nice and do not pressure you at all. The finishes in their trailers are just so nice.
Higher resale value !

airstreams are a waste of money. nice, but i dont think they are practical.
Not sure if they are a waste of money because they have great resale value but their floor plans can be limiting for sure. Thanks ResolveDigitalMedia!
That Forest River Pod bathroom is a closet! Yikes....
True. It's pretty hard to have a spacious bathroom in a travel trailer under 4,000lbs. Thanks for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
That Nucamp is designed for dwarves
At 5'11" I could stand up in the middle of the camper but yeah the ceiling was a bit low but they are incredibly popular!
