It actually depends on how quickly and heavily he drinks. His healing factor fluctuates depending on the degree and speed it is used. Unfortunately it still does make it hard to get and stay intoxicated but he probably learned to pace his intake to get the most out of his booze.
Wolverine romance with the japanese girl is way more believable and developped than his flirts with Jean. He risked his life to protect her from yakuza and ninjas, he also saved her brother. They talked to each other, learn to understand each other's worries and fears. She hughed Logan to comfort him, they take a stroll in a park. That was cute X3 It wasn't just a flirting game like he did with Jean. I really find their relation adorable! It's one of the best part of the movie with the cool action scenes too! I love the one on the train, it was fun!
Ironically, I saw this in theaters while I was stationed on Okinawa. Silver Samurai is very different in the comics. The actor playing Mariko's dad shines in the Mortal Kombat reboot
This movie is based on Wolverines first solo comic. In it Yukio wasn't a mutant she was human assassin, she and Mariko were in a love triangle with Logan.
Jackman seriously went above & beyond to look just like the comics in this movie. Including eating a diet recommended by The Rock consisting of 5,000 calories
Realistically that Japanese soldier would've died as soon as the bomb exploded judging from how close the cloud was, and even wolverine shielding him with his body and a blast door would not have shielded the radiation and then he would've died from stepping out into the radiated area anyway
hi Cody i got a quick question i have noticed that a lot of reactors have lost their laika movie reactions like timotheereacts lost paranorman and coraline and movies in depth lost coraline, i can't find your coraline reaction so did it got blocked like timothee's anyway can't wait for more x men
Hugh Jackman was the perfect casting choice! But, for me, The Wolverine isn’t the best Wolverine movie. For me it’s by far Logan. Can’t wait for you to watch that, Cody! (if you do decide to anyways)
13:35 his son is one who values hard work and strength as Japanese traditionalists often do. As such, mutants likely disgust him for never having needed work for their inherent powers. Also, most Japanese traditionalists are widely xenophobic and thus have a natural distrust and distaste for foreigners. 14:35 that priest having a tattoo got logans attention because in Japan, tattoos are a sign of incrimination as most normal Japanese people do not have tattoos but the yakuza for example are heavily tatooed.
Hey Cody! Great great reaction, as always, i discovered you with the Jurassic park reactions, and i loved your reactions, you're one of the best Movie reactors out there i think, and can i give a little advice, the Next Movie, X-men: days of future past has two cuts, X-men: days of future past and X-men: days of future past The Rogue cut, yeah, there's a version where they vut Rogue out of the movie only god knows why, if you haven't seen yet, you should react to the Rogue cut, it's the original cut the director had in mind, the Cinemas version is good, but the Rogue cut it's just...... cheft's kiss*
Rogue cut is mad overrated. Let's break down what it actually provides: - some scenes rearranged in a new order - some random scenes cut/extended by literally 1 second for no reason - an unnecessary s*x scene between 2 blue people - 1 cool action scene in the xmansion - rogue cameo who barely does anything
Rogue cut this rogue cut that...I'm so sick of these comments chanting the same thing about how rogue cut is some masterpiece. It isn't. Its 90% the same movie. Maybe even 95%. Also, chef's kiss is such an overused phrase.
Technically, in the comics, her primary name was Madame Hydra and Viper was just an alias. However, since this was a Fox production and Marvel Studios owns the name Hydra, they couldn't go with that. So they just named her Viper and called it a day.
As a weird rule, every pg13 or teen rated movie is allowed one "Fuck" To put this in perspective the third sonic movie is said to be pg 13. So who's gonna say it
Honestly I kinda wish you stuck with your initial decision not to react to deadpool movies again. They're so overdone to death on youtube and a lot of the humor is just so juvenile.
Great reaction! When you'll see Days of Future Past, be sure to watch the Rogue Cut. That's the extended version and it adds a lot to the narration. You can't fully enjoy that movie, which is one of the best of the franchise, if you don't see the extended cut. Thanks :)
@@virgilstarkwell1501 Up until a week ago, I had NO idea there was a Rogue cut! Couldn't believe it lmao I was watching a reaction and I was like wait what?! Why is Rogue suddenly here and why does she still have her powers?!
@@virgilstarkwell1501 agreed! It's a shame that the Rogue Cut was not the theatrical version. That was a huge mistake by the filmmakers. I always tell anybody watching for the first time to make sure they do the Rogue Cut. It seriously takes a phenomenal film to begin with and elevates it even more!
@@dashingrapscallion Yeah, I mean, the relationship between mystique and beast is deepened after first class, magneto gets all the best scenes (the old one and the young one), bobby has a heartwarming hero ending, rogue is a fundamental part of the film and it doesn't come only shown at the end, and wolverine, if possible, is even more badass. The definetley should have included all of this in the teathrical version.
@@kadenharley8232 I'm not even faulting you for your passion. I just think your enthusiasm is misplaced in something like the rogue cut. Theatrical cut or rogue cut, x-men days of future past is a great movie. Doesn't matter which version you're watching since the differences are quite minimal.
@@kadenharley8232 the way I see it: if you have both versions, watch the Rogue Cut because its a bit longer. But if you have only the theatrical cut and its too much effort to obtain the rogue cut, just watch theatrical. You won't miss out on too much.
i agree with u on that reptilian acid spit lady being the worst addition to this, like i didn't understand her purpose at all in this movie besides weakening logan with that weird heart spider thingy the whole time 🤣🤷
He can heal but still feel pain. Both physical and mentally.
There’s no one can play Wolverine like Hugh Jackman
Hugh Jackman cameoed in Free Guy.
True
@@Method_M.A.N Yeah
Very Underrated Movie.
I was lucky enough and saw this movie in the theaters when I was 10 years old with my Dad.
Also, I don't think Wolverine can really get drunk cause his healing factor purges the toxin faster than it can affect him.
It actually depends on how quickly and heavily he drinks. His healing factor fluctuates depending on the degree and speed it is used. Unfortunately it still does make it hard to get and stay intoxicated but he probably learned to pace his intake to get the most out of his booze.

Isn't Mariko wolverine's true love in comics?
i agree
Ironically, I saw this in theaters while I was stationed on Okinawa. Silver Samurai is very different in the comics. The actor playing Mariko's dad shines in the Mortal Kombat reboot
The Silver Samurai is to Wolverine what Ra's al Ghul is to Batman.
This movie is based on Wolverines first solo comic. In it Yukio wasn't a mutant she was human assassin, she and Mariko were in a love triangle with Logan.
I died when Cody said "Put your tongue away, bitch! Nobody wants to see that!"
LOL I don't blame him for not liking Viper.
One of the best Wolverine movies ever made.
The train scene reminds me of that Spider-Man 2 scene where Spider-Man fights Doc Ock.
Logan in Japan is always like a mini-subplot. I wonder if Keanu Reeves could play Gorgon?
There was also a deleted scene where Wolverine got his comics outfit, the yellow/black suit and the mask
yep
It is a very underrated movie to watch!
The Wolverine is still haunted and traumatized by the death of Jean which plays out in the film
Jackman seriously went above & beyond to look just like the comics in this movie. Including eating a diet recommended by The Rock consisting of 5,000 calories
I have always been a fan of Wolverine in Japan. Thanx for reacting to this one.
You cut out one of the best lines!
“Go on…ask me where I found it”
“Where did you find it?”
“Huh, funny you should ask”
There’s a deleted scene with the original comics costume!
I'm glad they leg James Mangold write LOGAN
Remember the holding your own heart in your hands line it comes back.
Finally! My fav Wolverine solo movie!
Happy early 9th Anniversary Marvel's "THE WOLVERINE" (JULY 26, 2013)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Cody. I just had an idea for a future video you could probably do. Ever heard of a Dreamworks film called Flushed Away? Hugh Jackman is in it.
And Ian McKellen is also in Flushed Away as well

Thanks mike for your feedback! I grew up watching horror movies lmao so Logan I can handle but thanks for your concern!
Logan is the most emotional and best wolverine movie
Wolverine's mutant power is his healing the adimantion acts as an armor

Can’t wait to see you watch X-men days of future past.
10:25 Magneto took the adamantium out of him in the comics. (It wasn't pretty)
