hey everyone! Thanks for watching my Mean Girls Reaction! I am sorry about the watermark but this was the best I was able to do in order to get it to you all today!
Bro, you absolutely need to react to _Labor Pains_ (2009) next, which was Lindsay Lohan's last romcom until _Falling for Christmas_ comes out tomorrow. That and _Georgia Rule_ (2007) are two of Lindsay's most overlooked films.
If you really want a girl power movie of the 2 thousands I recommend watching legally blonde. The lead character is just so likable you can't help but root for her and can't wait to see what they'll do next in the movie
And then he should go listen to the musical soundtrack and watch it too - there's a stage version on here somewhere. The movie and musical had different strengths and it's best to see both.
The musical he has to watch as well. It’s cheesy and has its awkward moments but it’s soo good! And the songs stick in your head forever- for me it’s Ireland and Gay or European.
@@forestcatkay14 Sorry but the official name for Gay or European is There! Right There. I know, it's weird, but that's what the soundtrack calls it. I love the song too, but I'm more partial to Omigod You Guys and So Much Better.
I don't know about 2004, but in the 80's when I was in school, there were kids that claimed they needed to go to the restroom, but didn't really need to. Many times They only said it to get out of class. Teachers started realizing that and limiting bathroom time.
Oh I graduated high school in 2016 and it was still a thing. I remember doing that in middle school every week just to talk to friends in the bathroom 🤦🏽♀️ absolutely silly and stupid haha
This movie is so quotable, Gretchen talking about toaster strudel always cracks me up. It's interesting that Amanda Seyfried had the smallest role among the 4 girls but has since gone on to have the most successful career of the bunch
@Ks-101 I'm with you. I love Amanda (and her version of Thank you for the Music), but she is not more successful than Rachel McAdams. I would say they're pretty similar, as Rachel does more mainstream movies, while Amanda likes musicals, indie pieces and TV.
Fun Fact: Lindsay Lohan almost played Regina but felt that she would be better as Cady Fun Fact: Tim Meadows who played the principal broke his hand shortly before filming began. He told Tina Fey who made they movie that he understood if he couldn’t play the role. However, Fey wrote his broken hand into the film by having the principal have carpal tunnel.
He's gonna look at Christian Slater, peg him as a good guy because it's obvious he's going to be the love interest, and then Kim Walker chokes on poison and we start to realize what brand of crazy he is. This movie might have fetch, but Heathers has "Chaos is what killed the dinosaurs, darling". I've got a T-shirt with that quote on it. And another one that says "Our love is God. Let's go get a slushie". I'd also like T-shirts with "Greetings and salutations", and a few musical-only quotes: "We were kind before, we can be kind once more" and "The tiniest lifeboat, full of people I know".
I didn't think it was possible to be like 25+ and have not seen this movie. To me, it is literally flawless. And I mean it VERY literally. There's not a second in this movie that falls flat in my opinion.
Janis hates Regina for something that happened as kids. They were best friends, and Janis told her she was Lebanese (nationality), but Regina misunderstood that as "lesbian", hence she stopped inviting her to her slumber parties, and to make matters worse, Regina spread the rumor to the whole school. Janis' friend circle became non existent, giving her a breakdown that made her cut her hair and use the makeup that characterize her now. Then, Damien came to her life, being her only friend.
Fun fact: Mean Girls originally was in R rated territory including sex scenes, more sensual phrasing such as the line "Is your muffin buttered?" which was originally "Is your cherry popped?" and also Regina would have dropped more f bombs than Joe Pesci does in Goodfellas.
Lmao I actually thought the cousins thing was true when I was little. Not from hearing it in this but I had the same thought process. I thought you had your cousins and then your first cousins and so forth 😂😂😂 I know better now 😂 Edit: Also fun fact, some people have a theory that Regina thought Janice was a lesbian because she said she was Lebanese and Regina misheard her 😂😂
i know cady deserved consequences but given she was homeschooled isn't it janice and reginas fault actually for turning her into them basically. janice kept forcing her to be mean but then rants when she gets "too mean" i am glad cady learned but i also get she didn't know better until the end
I can tell you why teachers are reluctant to let kids go to the bathroom, especialy when the kid doesn't ask: school bathrooms get used for smoking, and in bad cases for drugs. Plus some students take "bathroom breaks" as oportunitys to ditch the class for 30 minutes, or just completely. One of the things that is part of the teachers job is to prevent those things. (The skipping class thing mainly becouse of insurance and stuff. If a student get's hurt while he was suposed to be in class, the teacher can get in trouble for neglect.) So basically: If students hadn't been abusing bathroom breaks for literally anything else other than actually using the toilet, teachers probably wouldn't be so strikt about it xD
6:58 Gay meant happy back in the early 2000s, that’s what I thought😅 12:03 That house believe it or not it’s actually the house from the Disney channel movie “Twiches” 14:13 Amy Poler, I think.
If you want a movie in a similar "genre", I'd recoment "Heathers". (The musical is better in my opinion, but the movie is still entertaining) It's like Mean Girls, but with murder.
And a lot more focus on the boy-girl relationship, which is TOXIC. The girl clique sort of falls apart without its leader, with one becoming a worse version of her (not without persuasion) and the other thinking she's a jinx and trying to kill herself out of insecurity.
I hope you react to School Of Rock someday, I love that movie so much!! It’s a great movie especially today! I bet that not only will it make you laugh but make you feel inspired and special because of the great messages it tells.
“We’ll kill her.” I mean, if you want the version of Mean Girls where they actually kill Regina George, try Heathers. XD It’s got a similar premise, but takes a wild left turn into murder territory very quickly.

I had a teacher in HS that hated when ppl asked to use the restroom and would make us go without asking. The class obviously thought that would be awkward to do so in my entire time in that class not a soul used the restroom
I adoooore this movie but my year (same as a 'grade' in America) was always compared to it. It was like that before the movie came out and then after it came out, anytime any other school talked about us we were described as basically the same. Putting my two cents out there, since this rarely gets called out. Almost every character was a mean girl except for maybe Karen & Ms. Norbury. Regina is obviously mean but Janis is mean too - plotting against Regina, messing with her weight, exploiting Cady to do her dirty work, ordering Damian around & making jokes at his expense... It is entertaining as hell but when you stop to think about it, what Janis did is so screwed up & she is never held accountable the way the others are. While I wouldn't want Regina as a friend, I certainly wouldn't want Janis as one either!
Oh my god I know Lizzy Caplan from "Masters of Sex" where she plays the main role alongside Michael Sheen (if you don't know it, don't let yourself be deterred by the title, it's really good and super interesting) and I've seen "Mean Girls" multiple times and JUST NOW realized she plays Janis how on earth did I miss that xD

It seems like Gen Z has been so influenced that they can't quite grasp the humor from the 2000s. Everything has to be taken so seriously now. Once you're on edge and feel the need to analyze everything, you end up missing out on humor altogether, since anything you say can be seen as offensive to someone.
Wait till you find out I’m not gen Z 😳. If you can’t handle intellectual analysis of movies and you just want someone to laugh like a moron. This isn’t the channel for you lol

Also the guy who played the principal actually broke his hand before the filming of the movie, that's why his hand is broken throughout the film xD

Can you do a review of Legally Blonde I love that movie
It seems like Gen Z has been so influenced that they can't quite grasp the humor from the 2000s. Everything has to be taken so seriously now. Once you're on edge and feel the need to analyze everything, you end up missing out on humor altogether, since anything you say can be seen as offensive to someone.
Wait till you find out I’m not gen Z 😳. If you can’t handle intellectual analysis of movies and you just want someone to laugh like a moron. This isn’t the channel for you lol
2:25 cheaper to just go to the zoo XD
There was an alternate ending where it turned out Norbury WAS selling drugs on the side, but Damien took the fall so she wouldn't get in trouble.
