Installed mine today. Did not replace because there was no filter there to replace. Could not have done it without this video. It's a Like!

Does anyone else's a/c settings seem like #'s 1and 2 are barely noticeable and 3 and 4 and high af? Just a 2011 escape thing or fixable?

Just tested a 2014 in our lot and it did not have a drastic change when jumping to 3 & 4.

I've had my 2011 Escape for 10 years and it has always been like you were saying. Same with the heat.

@@filterheadsif any of your fan speeds stop working you'll likely need a new "blower motor resistor". They're notorious at failing. About $20 on Amazon. Installs just behind the glovebox. I've had to change mine twice (2011 Mazda Tribute)

Not sure how well that’ll seal around those edges but I will give it a try. Thanks

Why doesn't it come with the filter in it already like most???

It is a dealer installed option.

95,000 miles on my 11 Escape and I go to check mine and there isn't one. Wow. Why would they even put a spot for one if they're not going to put one in?! Crazy.

@@shuggins76 ME TOO! i have a 2007 escape! and just noticed this... mine didn't fit that perfectly, not sure why they wouldn't design a better 'fit'.

My 2011 Escape had a Motorcraft cabin filter in it. I bought it in 12/19. Someone put one in. It was old and needed to be replaced.
Filterheads says it's a dealer installed opinion, either they had a dealer put one in or they bought a Motorcraft part, Ford dealers would use Motorcraft parts.

If it doesnt have the cabin air filter in it when we check (2011) ford escape... do we need to have one ?

You don't need to have a cabin filter as it will not harm your engine without one. Cabin filters were often options you could add on to your vehicle and only became more common in recent years.
