This helmet provides protection for bumps and whip outs in the line up, but does not offer the same level of protection as a full helmet. It is excellent for beginners who want to build confidence, or when surfing a crowded lineup with loose boards.
I would not recommend it for shallow reefs or big waves surfing.

Thanks for checking out the review. They are still in development on their Version 2.0, and that probably will not see the market until late 2024 or early 2025. I talked to the owner and they have made some minor improvements to the current one, but not enough to call it a version 2.
