Buckled Surfboard Repair. Carbon Stringer, EPS, Epoxy, Lost Mayhem Hydra.

My buddy buckled his Lost Hydra, and I agreed to repair it for free as long as I could make a video out of it. Disclaimer, this was my first buckled surfboard repair. I do have a graduate degree in composite materials, which gave me some unfounded confidence going into this repair. It also gave me a decent mechanical and materials background, which I try to share with a little engineering explanation at the beginning.

This board was also an EPS stringer less board, which should have been obvious, but I did not realize until I cut the glass out. So I had to order some more epoxy resin from the above vendor before I could finish the repair.
I also had some issues with hot coat adhesion, which epoxy can be finicky with. Always mack sure to thoroughly clean the area with rubbing alcohol (IPA) and remove all dust before fill coating with surfboard epoxy. There's no mistake sanding and time cannot fix on a surfboard though.
