    WHAT KIND OF POWER SUPPLYS DO YOU USE ON YOUR GPU MINING RIGS??? ATX OR SERVER?? LET ME KNOW!!!

      Also looks a bit riskier having the PCB where current comes out from visible like that compared to ATX ? Im wondering if theres a chance to electorcute myself if something breakes and it just sits on a metal shelf...? Mayber server psu efficiency is worse too? Another Pro on ATX PSUs is, I think, that they have 10 year warranty. At least I have on my corsair psu. So if efficiency would be a lot better on the ATX one, with the warranty, I wonder if ATX psu is more worth

    • @ChumpChangeXD
      @ChumpChangeXD  3 года назад

      @@alexzan1858 A Server PSU and ATX PSU comes down to the material and voltage used as I said in the video. The main difference is the application it used in (or intended to be used in) AND The more power you draw from a Server PSU the LOUDER it is. All of this is broken down in the video.
      As far as it being less safe IMO there is a risk no matter which one you use. Both of them should be turned OFF before you mess with/touch the wires.

    The server PSUs are built for commercial grade use. I work in IT and we have a vet large data center. I think we have replaced maybe 2x PSUs in the last 10 years. That should give you an idea of how robust the server PSUs are

      Hey man, appreciate you!
      So server PSU Or ATX are basically the same, if they are the same material. To get the most efficiency you want to run the power supply as far as I know between 70% and 80% of the maximum load. I believe that is peak efficiency ❤️🔥

    Preach! Less then 12 hours after installing my server I ordered another. Legit so much better. Safety and everything. My second server arrived. Now I'm about to remove 2 of my ATX and let the second server do everything else. I'm running 7 3070s and 4 3060ti. My 1200V server I'm only using to power up 6 cards. The ATX doing it the correct 6 pin can only do 2 cards when I was using SATA (DON'T DO THIS) I had 4 each and very very unstable mining. ATX is basically a waste of money now that I'm investing into servers. And noise wise, my rig is in my bedroom and I sleep like a baby to the humming 60 dbs from rig to my pillow. My room fan blowing the heat onto the house is all the noise pumping 80 dbs.

    Im a noob and almost tired to purchase a ATX PSU for my very first rig. I had doubts about server PSU durability + finding quality cables for a server PSU. I'm just glad I found your video/ channel man!
    1. So as per my understanding there is no such thing as that server PSU are less durable than ATX (because they are cheap :D)?
    2. Where do you recommend to get cables? Parallelminer?. I'm just asking your options because I just don’t wanna fuckup my system.

    • @ChumpChangeXD
      @ChumpChangeXD  3 года назад +1

      Hey man no worries!
      So before the ZSX breakout board there was no way to easily adapt a 24 pin for a mother board which is why people would use just an ATX PSU and if adding more cards then add a Server PSU as a secondary (because your only powering 6 to 8 pins on a card no motherboard stuff).
      Server PSU are in my opinion made to last in constant power 24-7 situations. BUT keep in mind you need a ZSX breakout board to power the Mother Board and stuff if your going to use this as your only power supply!
      The 6 pin male x 6 + 2 male from parallel miner is your best bet for sure since you have to order from them anyways!
      (The 6 + 2 = 8 pin basically just means you can split the 2 off of the 6 pin for your risers so you know. That was something I was lost with when I started lol)

    • @ChumpChangeXD
      @ChumpChangeXD  3 года назад +1

      The only down fall is they can be noisy… they get louder the more power you draw off them. A 1200Watt server psu is only capable of 1,000 watts if your only plugging into a normal house (120v) also keep that in mind!
